The only way that any object could every reach absolute zero would be if all matter in the entire universe was at absolute zero. It would be analogous to stopping a boat, with a large hole in it, from sinking in the middle of a sea by draining the sea. But even in theory if the entire universe was magically cooled to absolute zero, vacuum energy would probably prevent it from staying there. You would probably need to drain all the matter from the universe, and if you did that what would be the meaning of absolute zero. Since absolute zero is measured by the state of matter and if you had no matter in a universe, does it really matter; -)
At absolute zero would all the electron particle/waves have collapsed into their nuclei, and with the repulsive force of electrons being cancelled (atoms are mostly empty space, it is electrons that repel your shoes from falling through the floor, would all the nuclei clump together, was that the source of the last big bang; -)
Anyhow thought experiments are all fun and games until someone looses a universe. Almost forgot thanks Kathy as always, great video.

Batteau's three laws of infodynamics were bandied about with the idea information cannot be lost and so there is intropy as more information piles up. I'm a little out of my depth here but I think that these were disproven by Hawking. Hawking's idea is that information is lost into a black hole (I think. I see these laws of infodynamics come up with junk science sprinkled with the word quantized and so on. Anyway, whether I'm right or wrong, this would be really interesting to explore. What was the context for Batteau's joke? There had to have been one. Information is lost and it's lost due to entropy. Every time a bit of infomation is read, there is a little less of a bit there. In many real memory systems, the bit is re-charged or rewritten. How many times can the page of a book be flipped before the page fails or tears? And so on.

The laws of thermodynamics are not fundamental laws of physics; they are derived from the fundamental laws of symmetry.
In an enough long time, and/or in an enough big space, the laws of thermodynamics aren't that strict anymore.
See the Noether's theorem for that.
Emmy Noether was an humble but genius mathematician, and the theorem bearing her name is one of her few contribution to the field of physics; but it has an incredible deep effect on the whole knowledge of the matter.

In information theory I read quite a good explanation I think. Say you have a marble in a dip indicating the information on. You roll it up a hill and it comes to rest in a nearby dip indicating off. Why you can win here is that the net energy used was zero, since the drop in potential to get it up the hill is equal to the lift when it rolled down. But the information indication has successfully changed for nothing.

I wrote these in one of my journals. Now, I am trying to apply them to writing essays. Tested it on a friend and the seniors in her high school English class that she teaches. I need to work more on it, as I had insufficient time to convey the concept as it widens or expands the possibilities (and definition) and use of essays in their ordinary lives. Thank you very much for your delightful and encouraging essays.

A good starting place is the little book, What is LIfe? by Erwin Schroedinger. Then look into 'self-organisation' and 'autopoeisis'. (Ilya Prigogine, Heinz von Foerster, Humberto Maturana.

Batteau's formulation of the three laws didn't disappear. at least at MIT, it was a well-known statement in the early '70s, often taught by professors in freshman physics and chemistry courses. I'd wager that it was an MIT grad who brought it to Ginsberg's attention.
