This is the scenario that leads to the world of 1984 by George Orwell. What would have happened: Germany fights and wins a one-front war to the East and Japan invades Siberia instead of Pearl Harbor. UK becomes basically a colony of the USA, although the key Ministries are located there, so who has colonized who is a good question there. Anyhoo. Eurasia, Eastasia, Oceania. Making me theorize that Orwell was involved in UK strategic intelligence before the war, helping to game this scenario out, and decided to fictionalize it after the war.

While our various war time presidents/prime ministers and general secretaries were perhaps the biggest collection of utter bastards to hold elected office (well not Stalin) they would still slap the ever loving shit out of current presidents/prime ministers for being the slimiest, weak willed chinless wkpuffins. (Well not Stalin, he'd be giving Putin a handie)

Lord Halifax for all his (not even borderline) treasonous actions should have been given the noose after the war. Instead the idiotic British revisionist-for-the-sake-of-revisionism dilettante historians are now saying that appeasement was ok and that nothing else could have been done.
And voila, here came February 24th, 2022.

Britain should have joined Germany and the central powers before WW1 and created a world power sharing empire. This would have avoided WW2, WW2, the Cold War and the current decline of the west to post modernist long term communist infiltration / subversion of our institutions.

Britain didn't make peace after the fall of France for the same reason it didn't make peace when Napoleon was controlling Europe. The enemy might be king on land but the brits still controlled the sea and with a bit of luck sooner or later someone would join them.

Come to think of it, the British strategy against Napoleon was basically Keep fighting him until he invades somebody else and it worked. 5 times. The 2nd through 5th coalitions also lost to him but they kept it up and it worked eventually

Actually because we had very shortsighted leaders, who couldn't see that the US would demand the Empire be dismantled & the USSR would nearly take over all of Europe. We'd have been much better off coming to an accommodation with the Germans.

Oops! We accidentally started a war with the two most powerful countries in the world at the same time It sounds so absurd that it seems nonsensical, and yet. this is pretty much exactly what happened, and why the Axis powers lost WW2

If only Britain hadnt continued the fight it wouldnt have been ruined by the war. Not only that, but bailing out Europe time and again is a thankless exercise because the Europeans never pay their war debts. France in particular.

Hope you have enjoyed this episode
Man you have no idea how I enjoyed this episode (especially the actual historical one)
there's no way the world would be something good if Britain have stopped there.

The reason why Britian didn't make peace was because both Britain and France were controlled by the same small group of people. We can use the euphemism globalists for now, but there's a more accurate term.

Because British people arent as quick to surrender as the French. They were on a defendable island, with a capable army. Why would they surrender!

The bigger question is why did GB choose to only declare war against Germany and not the USSR also? Since they both invaded Poland.

I think it IS fair to say that no victory was worth the death and destruction brought upon Britain and its colonies in WW2.
