There is no complete communism at that time
India chose the middle way, mixed economy, in which government control some important industries for employment genration, and anyone can open their company by following the rules and regulationsbut it was some time taking process to get the license to pen a company
And anyone can have private company. but there was less space for foreign companies as to protect the companies of indiabecause india became newly independent and didnt had the power to compete with foreign companies
But the govt. had a big control on economy and did good things too. so it is called SOCIALISM ALONG WITH CAPITALISM TO AN EXTENT
In 1991, after the liberalisation of indian economy, it opened doors for foreign companies as india was ready enough to compete.
But it lost some more control on economy and some industries are now under the govt(PSUs)
So, there was no absolute communism in india

Well for Bharat(india) It was never about underestimating any country it was about standing up to bullies and what is right for humanity. If you talk about now, we are perfectly ready for bullies like your china or any other country that believes they can make any country to act as they like. We had some internal conflict then now its time that china must taste the real bhartiya(indian) beating. China is most welcome! We will open your eyes completely and then you will be able to see you are not actually what you think about your country. If you think you can threaten or challenge the integrity of bharat(india ) there will be severe consequences.

Thing about being former subjects of the British is that those subjects tend to view themselves in a better light than if they'd never been subjects. It was with this arrogance that India sought press the Chinese on the border with the Forward Policy. The Chinese were willing to leave good enough alone but they couldn't countenance a creeping Indian advance. After very clear warnings were given, the Chinese went in and pushed the Indians back to the line of actual control. This video has a misleading title. There was no invasion. There was a short, brief war and then it ended.

Fun fact, It was US and Pakistan which were clandestinely funding and arming the Tibet revolt with out India being aware of it. In such a way to give the impression it was India doing it. This is the reason why China caught India by surprise as India was clueless on there even being a cause for war. The war did not even engage Indian air force as Indian leadership was baffled in what this attack was for (given the decade of friendship push by that leadership.
That is not going to happen again. You learn the lessons of from the mistakes you make.

Your view of history is twisted. Tibet was a part of China long before the current government came to power in 1949. Yes, the relationship between the central government and Tibet was like a pendulum. In 1911, the last dynasty ended and Tibet, with the support of the British, took the opportunity and declared independent, which has never been recognized by China. During the Qing dynasty, the central government kept about 5000 troops in Tibet. So, in which sense Tibet is a puppet state of China?

The Indian should know there is no such a country called India on the planet before British conquered the India peninsula, and when English left India peninsula they established a country called India with the land which were invaded and colonized by British for hundreds of years, some parts of the land belonging to China. Therefore China and other countries want their land back, but Indian think those land were inherited from British, and belong to them now. What a shameless claim.

I would say, it's because the Indian soldiers started the first bullets.
They advanced to a bit of Tibetan land, assuming that they were better armed, with the help of USSR, the USA, and Britain. Also the new Chinese government had finished war in Korea with many countries led by the US. By that time the Chinese must be very weak.
Later, as many may aware, the Indians were defeated.

All Nehru had to do was to show good will to China, & not get involved in Tibetan issue! If Kashmir is India's internal issue, then so is Tibet for China. Indian & Chinese civilization have gotten along well for thousands of year, both were suppressed by western powers, should have risen together, but no. British left, & left their idiots stooges in charge.

Your map is wrong. When the war broke out, Sikkim was still an independent Himalayan kingdom. After the war, India quickly annexed Sikkim to create more strategic depth to protect their control of South Tibet. India probably thought about annexing Bhutan too, but eventually decided to keep it as a puppet state instead.

How can India expect that China accept an arbitrary line drawn by the British Raj at China's expense that gave Aksai Chin and South Tibet to India? Those two areas were never part of India until the British landgrab. Today India is upholding the imperialist aims of the Brits long after they became irrelevant.

Why did India constantly underestimate China and caused border disputes by supporting Tibet and cross Chinese borders to encourage minorities uprising in China. India more than deserved the beatings China gave them. India should be taught another lesson by China soon. Its been around 60 years since China.

India invaded Goa, Daman and Diu, Portuguese overseas territories in December 1961 with help of Soviet veto (that allowed the Indian troops to stay in G, D, D, despite being in the Non Aligned Movement. China did a tit for tat in 1962 after falling out with the Soviets.

If it wasn't for british and us poking their noses everywhere and causing shit throughout history. The world would've been a much better, more peaceful place. Millions of lives changed forever, because of these two aggressive countries.

How come that China invaded its own territories that were illegally annexed by the British Empire and illegally integrated to India with the Mac Mahon Line that was never accepted and recognised by the last imperial dynasty of China?

India map you shown in thumbnail is wrong. North west part of Kashmir is illegal occupied by Pakistan. India will not recognise it.
China is a greedy expansionist claiming Tibet, ladakh. Arunachal, even Nepal area too. Greedy

But in fact, India was already very close to the Soviet Union before 1962, and sino-Soviet friendly relations had also broken down. It was at the instigation of the Soviet Union that India had border friction with China
