Wilson was full of himself. He wanted to control the peace treaty process even though our constitution says that Congress, not the president, agrees to treaties. In fact previous peace treaties between the US and other countries like the Treaty of Ghent were negotiated by members of Congress. He was warned multiple times by Lodge that without Congress's input there was little chance they'd just sign whatever he brought back. He ignored them. I also heard he annoyed the other delegates.

I am sure the US could have win against a bunch of farmers with weapons from teh cold war but America is all about mememememememememememememe and being strong independant, god forbid the US cities suffer a bombing run because I am sure well over 30 factories will get demolished because someone said nah I am leaving my lights on, I can take them invaders.

Also, each British colony had a vote w/in the league, suggesting the US would B outvoted every turn. The UN sorta fixed this w/ the power of veto being given to the 5 members of the supreme council.

Congress refused to accept the LoN because no congressmen were invited to the meeting. It was a tradition to refuse cooperation with anything in which they weren't given a seat at the table.
