i find it funny how New Atheism pretty much became a religion itself
- identify as an Gnostic, Anti-Theistic Atheist. Cant be Agnostic Atheist
- have a disregard for people and ideas of different appeal (this includes Agnosticism)
- preach morals which are actually similar to opposing beliefs, Us-Against-Them bs
- totally Ignorant and Hypocritical to events that involved their beliefs
- Sanctimonious, pretentious followers with a false sense of intelligence
pretty much entry level Religion/Cult requirements if you ask me

I don't have a problem with atheists, the only thing that baffles me is the Religious people force their beliefs and spread lies onto people. Which I heavily disapprove, we don't. we teach diversity and acceptance and tell them that life has a meaning. Also, the bs like The universe is my god or Evolution is my god was made up by toxic atheists trying to make fun of us, that's not actually what we do, and there are plenty of religious scientists, so yeah. cry about it, I guess.

Having faith in a higher power, is mostly there to put some kind of purpose to life. We're born into this world. We grow up to become strong and beautiful, only for everything to take a nose dive after some time and then be taken away by death.
It's unfair, it's tragic and feels like it should be just too sad to be true.
That's when people turn to religion. It's about getting some kind of hope for the future. That's all.

I learned not long ago that we're the only people through out all of history that says there's no God. With todays society and all the garbage were exposed to on a daily basis I guess that doesn't really surprise me. I've had some genuine experiences where I was quite literally in the presence of God. Also the Mandelbrot set I think proves the existence of god

I don't know. I have seen some incredibly intelligent people's brains turn to mush after a religious experience. For example. My step father taught me about light years and astronomy. He converted to Christianity and then told me a light year really isn't a light year because young earth creation. Like. What?

Atheist believe a man can become a woman because of his feelings, that everything came from nothing, and that you can have a good society without God(without an objective standard nothing matters. If more Atheist are better at math that's cool but you can't be smart if you think this.

I doubt it has that much effect on intelligence I know atheists who are in all practical sense complete idiots that make atheism one of their personality traits to seem smart. While i know really religious people who have learned new languages so they can study scripture better.

I've seen another study which showed it depended on where you lived. The people with the lower IQ's were more likely to go along with the consensus. So in muslim areas they were muslim, in christian areas they were christian, and in atheist areas they were atheist.

People who beleive in nothing will end up replacing God with government. All of the athiests I have ever known beleived in climate change and all that other shit. They worship the government and buy into ideas that are just as intangible as religion.

Most athiests counfuse what truly science is, science is a methord to find out how the world works not to prove the existence of a transcendental being And science is prone to change from time to time but i think this is more of a christanity thing

My IQ did not increase one point upon becoming an atheist.
I did however become really interested in a lot of fields of study so since Ive become one Ive studied a lot more in like evolutionary biology/religious history/etc

Athiests are actually less intelligent. An athiest puts limitation on their mind where a religious person does not. Athiests are also not as creative or artistic as non athiests. The athiest mind is a stunted mind.

Id say it depends on the person. People believe or disbelieve for many different reasons, and Id say how they explain their reasons for those beliefs should tell you how intelligent they are.

I was a militant atheist when I was teen, Now days while I am not particularly religious I also understand that most people need religion and how infantile my old beliefs were.
