Sorry, but becoming a killer isnt a illness, its a decision.
He couldve turned to the professionals as he felt that he lost control over his urges.
But instead he started killing girls, because he enjoyed it. He probably had never
such a hard erection in his life. And he almost always did it in a drunken state of mind.
So he perfectly knew what he was doing and dumbed himself down to do it.
Thats pretty concious behaviour. For me he is just a a-hole and i had ripped him apart
piece by piece for what he did to those females. Anyone who doesnt respect human life
outside a war should be stored away - nine feet underground.

Mother's testimony in court suggested Bundy was pampered by mother and made to feel special which insulated him from the needs and feelings of others. That made him feel terribly alone and cut off from othersa counter intuitive result of being doted over by mother, but looking deeper, he hated his mother for cutting him off from others and suffering from his aloneness.

Still I have worked with many people who have worse childhoods than that and a far from what Ted bundy was. I think people just always try to find reasons behind every action. He even says himself he had a great childhood. People really clutch at straws and when people do bad things its always well maybe theyre unwell not maybe they chose to be like this to some extent.

Psychopathy is strictly genetic, but, like all mental illnesses, it needs a trigger, somethings needs to press the button and release the illness, people have gone centuries, there whole life, without experiencing any symptoms of an mental illness they have, because nothing has triggered the release

Even if the narcissistic monster had decent parents, their family may have reacted indifferently to their childhood trauma. Some trauma happens at home, which is the result of mental illness, but not all trauma happened at home as believed. Not all people raised in that environment kill.

I believe he was born with a predisposition for psychopathy and anti social behavior and then perhaps not bonding properly with his mother for the first 3 months of life, could have caused these problems. Then being around his unhealthy nuclear family sealed the deal.
