My father is a narcissist. The signs I saw with him is that he didnt ever give a real apology. Sure, hed say he was sorry, but there was always something that hed add to make it seem like my mothers fault. And Im pretty sure that it was brought up in this video but I still want to give examples.
Im sorry that you cant get over this.
Im sorry that youre upset over this.
I said I was sorry, cant you just get over this?
Ive already apologized, its your problem.
Stop making your problems my problems.
Im sorry I was drunk.
Im sorry my parents/coaches/etc made me this way.
You made it this way.
Im sure there are more apologies or things that is/was said. But those are all I can think of at the moment, sorry. Certain apologies in this list doesnt make you a narcissist if you say them. Its when it comes to the point that you completely avoid taking any responsibility at all, and instead blame it on others. It is one thing to say Im sorry, with the way that I was raised/treated, doing/saying things like that was normal/acceptable. I wasnt aware that it would hurt you the way that it did, and Im sorry. And then it is another to say I cant help it, do you have any idea the way I was raised.
Relationships/friendships like these are unhealthy. They mean seem fun, and you may want to turn them back into the person that they used to be. But theyre not going to change, stop dragging yourself over the coals to make them happy or change them. You deserve better.

(Sorry in advance, my english is very bad)
what i get from this is a bit confusing:
2: 45 they're crying. but the the other one is a narcissistic because they don't care for their feelings.
2: 28 they're crying. now the narcissistic one is making the other one guilty you say.
But i'm confused! how should i know if a person is truly sad or just, as you explained, a narcissistic who's trying to make me feel guilty? :(
I want to believe the other person always.
Both persons here looking exactly the same when crying?
These two scenes give off a feeling as if they want to teach me that red haired person shouldn't feel guilty for making the other person sad because they don't deserve it because they're just faking. And when ginger is sad the blonde one should indeed care for them or otherwise they are narcissistic for not caring for their feelings. But that just seems unfair. i want to care for anyone. i feel like you want to turn me into a narcissistic when you teach me that i should expect them to care for me but not accepting their sadness.

I was with one once and it was such a horrible situation. He wasn't diagnosed but every thing he did to me happened like in the video. 2 years of abuse and I got out.
Right now I'm in another relationship but I need help. When we first started dating (it's been 7 months now) he commented me that he has some things about narcissistic disorder/illness, let's point the fact that he goes with a psychologist and a psychiatrist. Yesterday for the first time we had what I would say our first harsh argument (we had differences but they were talke and sorted out before) and he used some strong words he had never used towards me and kind of blamed me cause I was making it all about me. I talked with his brother and he confirmed to me about the narcissistic points where he is atm, which is cluster b.
I never noticed a bad behavior towards me until now and talking with his brother made me a little confused about the situation: (
Any advice?

lots arises in me
as I watch this video.
mainly this:
I'm falling,
again, for another
unavailable person.
because the illusion and fantasy and escape
of this person, is all I've got.
so I let myself fall.
let myself get attached.
because I'm old now,
and the deepest shame and agony
of my life, is that I've never-ever been
in an intimate-romantic relationship.
and the reality of this anguishes me, consumes me.
fills me with: grief, shame, rage, longing, loneliness, despair,
wanting, needing, desperation.
so I cling, achingly, to anyone
that shows me: any attention.

This is very useful, but I feel as though the illustration makes it less conceivable for the narcissistic to a women in the relationship. A large majority of this narcissistic videos use men as the example being the narcissist in the relationship. While this may be the case on average, I think its just as educational for men and women to see what that may look like and an illustration could help.

I experienced narcissistic abuse for years. He really destroyed me. The lack of empathy really hit home. I started my cycle in the middle of the night and I had such terrible cramps. I was in so much pain and crying. He shoved me and told me to shut up because he needs his rest. Such a disgusting human being. I have remained single ever since him and I broke up. I dont trust anyone.

This in no way makes me think of my girlfriend, but one of my closest friends is 100% everything from this video, and I always figured he was a narcissist. This confirms my theory. I probably won't tell him, because his ways have drawn us apart, but if I ever talk to him like I used to, then I may bring this up to him.

I have a narcicist (idk if i spelt that right) once, he talked about himself alot but never talked trash about others, the things i dont get about him is why he loved himself but constantly self harming himself (cutting his wrist, smoking etc, the only time he talked trash about me was calling me a cunt, thats all

My brother was killed almost five months ago and when I would break down crying, this narcissist just looked disgusted and annoyed. Nevermind unable to comfort or try and be there. When I called him on it his response was look what youre doing to the kids. Not that I still love him but damn, let me grieve

Last Monday I cried in bed because my now ex yelled at me for accidentally pulling the blanket off of him. I cried because I thought it was an extreme reaction, he ignored me and then left to sleep on the couch. So the scene in here for lacking empathy gave me flashbacks.
reply

Omg my ex never gave me a valid reason as to why her exs broke up with her, she'd always say something they did and be vague. now going through a relationship with her I understand that the next guy will be getting the same vague story about me.

With number 2 with their opinion. What if they have an opinion on the lgbtq+ community and about woman? They talk bad about woman and they just talk bad about LGBTQ+ community but you support woman and the LGBTQ+ is it right to stay with them?

You don't know what you are really getting until you are married and committed for 10 years. Then the mask falls off and your screwed for the next 25 years. The traits just don't show up until family court has the power.

Being pursued by a malignant narcissist I made the mistake of inviting in for a ONS over a year ago. he was my coke dealer. wish he'd leave me alone let him know I clocked his game attention seeking idiot

Careful: not all narcissists talk highly about themselves. The narc in my life always spoke low of themselves. They did this in order to get ppl to pay for things or constantly do favors for them.

Watching the video keeps reminding me of my sisters ex-boyfriends (2) that manipulated and treated her like no human being. why do Narcissists treat people like shit. Its unbelievable
reply

Watched this when I saw my ex acting not like her usual self when we moved to Huntersville, NC together and after I watched, I confirmed I was dating a narcissist, Toxic Anneli

Narcissists are soul crushers. They drain their significant other of any kind of happiness, love, joy, and whatever else they can possibly get to that is of use to them.
reply

Narcissists are formed by trauma. Yall are so judgemental but forget most self centered people come from toxic backrounds, addictions, or abusive parents!
reply

You forgot doesn't take responsibility for their actions. It's never their fault even when it definitely is and they are in jail for it as an example.
reply

im a girl with low functioning bpd but a lot of the things i do in relationships are narcissistic behaviors, that's why i have to avoid relationships
