The things is I have a friend that has some signs of negative things over every video, I stopped being friends with her but one birthday party she sort of pressured me to be her friend, she says she cares about me and loves me, but all the time if theres other people that are her friend other than me, she always slips away to them leaving me totally alone. I once forgot something and left the changing room to get it, when I came back my friend was looking for a locker and she found mine, she then said
Oh can I have this one? Thanks and sort of just closed the door on me. I dont know what to do and I really need help. I am not scared to be alone Im scared of what others will think of I am going to be alone, I have other friends, like this trio that are very nice and amazing, but whatever I do, I dont feel like Im in the conversation and I dont know how to be. My friend (the one I was talking about)talks sometimes in this sort of moaning, stretched language and it makes me feel pressured and uncomfortable. She seemed sad so I asked her why she feels that way, she said shes scared Ill send her another letter explaining I dont want to be friends. the thing is its not only because of these videos I also just feel like I want to stop being her friend but Im scared because I dont know how to explain, she says how much she cares about me, but honestly I dont think she cares, whenever she has the chance to talk to another friend and not me, she does. I also dont feel happy around her. This may just be all my anxiety but I just dont feel happy around her, I dont feel free. I need advice, please.
Im sorry this is really long.

People who cant control emotional outbursts
I can get upset out of nowhere and have an emotional breakdown any time. that really makes me toxic? That really means I should be avoided like the plague? Ive been trying to get over an emotional low point in my life for MONTHS now, and Ive been an emotional wreck because of it, and Im pretty sure the last thing I would want is to be AVOIDED. why not give the person struggling with these feelings SUPPORT instead of completely isolating yourself from them? Being able to vent to your friend about your emotions is important, and avoiding the person whos struggling with these depressed feelings isnt going to help anything. you need to take into account what that person is going through, before outright avoiding them. like I get not wanting to be around someone whos negative or sad all the time. but that felt REALLY misguided and put me down personally quite a bit.

I think something to bear in mind is that with people who have emotional outbursts, its just as important to look at how they behave AFTER their outburst as DURING. I know I personally have a hard time processing my emotions due to my ASD (also maybe bipolar disorder, but no official diagnosis on that one yet) and can sometimes snap at people when theyve done nothing to deserve it, BUT, I also try to apologize and take responsibility for my behavior as soon as Im no longer emotionally volatile. Ive also been taking active measures to try and improve my ability to self regulate. I wouldnt necessarily think of myself as a toxic person, as I tend to think a major factor in a persons toxicity is if they try to improve or not. A truly toxic person would more often than not make no sincere attempt at self improvement and just force everyone else to try and deal with them.

I feel as if I am chiefly #7 (Emotional Outbursts) on this list, and that can work in tandem with being overly critical at times. I'm often of the mindset that emotional expression = expression = honesty = virtue, but it really is much more complicated than that. Sure, maybe it takes courage to pipe up and show others how you truly feel, but this should be inhibited and processed carefully while in a state of anger, stress or frustration, because that's when we're the most honest.
Even simple annoyance or frustration--things we often brush off as no big deal--are a mild form of anger that might temporarily impair the balanced mind and cause us to think untrue things, differently from how we think when we're calm. We may know we didn't mean it, but it stays with the people who we express those critical thoughts to.

I'm just doing my best to be My Self (I've been having mental problems for 30+ years now, while some family members seem to think they're superior because they have more $s, more friends or a SO. I can't remember any family member saying anything positive about who I am, what I do or what I believe in. And that's why I've officially become a recluse since October last year. I just had enough of all the negativism every time I opened my mouth. When you say something, voice your opinion and the other party automatically takes the opposite stance, THAT is what I think toxicity means. I'm done with those judgmental freaks. And I'm not lonely at all (I'm a schizoid. I learn, I study and am extremely curious about a plethora of topics.

Things that people roast, insult and judge me for:
-I listen to music, preferably to MCR, Green Day and other 2000s bands. (I know, terrible choice of bands, move on)
-I do art: I draw pictures during lunchtime. Theyre mostly of my OCs and other characters from a TV show, anime or movie (I get called a weeaboo despite I barely watch anime, I only draw the characters) But I also do landscapes and still life
-The fact I am Asian (someone said I was annoying and I have bad eyesight because I have weird eyes)
-My skin colour
-My choice of instruments - I play drums, guitar and alto saxophone. (Seriously, what I choose to play is not your concern)
I know, all of you would roast me because of these things too.

Here is a simple test to determine if someone is toxic: Ask yourself these two simple questions about anyone you know - Are they human? and Are they currently alive. If the answer to these questions is Yes, then they are toxic, maybe not to you at this time, but the potential is there; it's part of being human. And, if someone frequently talks about toxic people - RUN! One of the most toxic people I have ever known, the woman who first used the phrase toxic people in conversation with me, was constantly complaining about how toxic other people were; when she wasn't doing that, she was cackling while gossiping about other people. I was young and very naive, but I finally caught on.

I hate toxic people.
Sometimes I'm toxic.
But I'm aware that my life is more important than stopping and caring for some toxic people.
Just ignoring them will be magnificent.
Drama queen is a selfish person.
The narcist is a weak person.
The person who undervalues you or complain too much you should get rid of them very quickly.
Those also who does not listen to you and self centred.
Many types but you have to had a thick skin and also shameless face against those types.

Have been the toxic one and most of these at points in my life, i was selfish, focusing headstrong with my own goals in life and didnt empathise with anyone with issues of thier own, not a nice person. Took the loss of a friend to put things in perspective and to re evaluate life priorities. Do regret the way i was and have learnt a more patient and calmer approach to things. Which has helped with reducing stress in myself and the people around me. Life isnt a race and make time for yourself

It's insane because this is spot on. I dealt with so much forms of toxic individuals throughout my transgressions and growth process; belittling someone should never be that goal and shouldn't be a competitor. I've always felt as if I'm in that area in my life which is very stressful and hard to understand. I want to be able to heal and complete others' while getting the same in return.
Sometimes I wonder having empathy and compassion for others' breaks people such as myself.

what is confusing for me, if someone meet such toxic person and get rid of them later. They may never tell anyone about this person, because then people might think you play victim or talk badly about others. So which options are left? Good if we can just forget about this person, but if they caused trouble for us which other people can see and ask why its happened? and then you become either liar or victim player

I have been avoiding toxic people for years and now I have basically no friends. I'm super lonely. I'm thinking about just accepting that everyone is toxic in some way and going out there knowing I'll be attacked and hurt. But I'm sure I'll go out there and try and get hurt so bad again that I'll just crawl into my apartment and be lonely again. There's no winning here.

I find it really critical, to label certain people automatically as toxic. Sure, people will have sometimes more, ad sometimes less toxic traits, but we are all individuals, with whole personalities ad backgroundstories to keep in mid.
I also thought of growig up, to be a process, where you will start to reflect your ow toxic traits, and work o them.

that is the biggest problem with peoples view of criticism.
they know that the person wants to help.
but all they feel is judgement.
that is why no one views constructive criticism.
they hear the mere word critic or criticsm.
and immediately return fire.
its unhealthy to have that mindset.
and it is everywhere.

The dramatic and over critical is my mother, since I'm a little kid. I left home at 16 to free myself. I'm 45 now and still have to put up with the same. I love her is just draining and depressing to spend time with her. I miss my dad he was the opposite. My best friend my listener my savior he I lost him in April. And I'm lost.

No no no no. you should never ever avoid toxic people. They are clearly in need of help. The best thing to do is try to convert them. You should never leave someone to stay toxic. I have converted about 5 toxic people now. Please anyone watching this. Dont avoid them, help them.

You know what I find astonishing. Is how easy it is to just talk to someone and be normal and move with them. Unlike how people act so called scared and unsure and then believe whatever people say. It really makes me upset
