Texts are a very complicated matter because there is often the game of being hard to get involved and so forth.
Some people don't want to come across as too needy.
Some people really like to take the time to think before they answer.
It's also generally very hard to know what mood a person is in when you text them.
If they are really busy at the time, perhaps they are in a meeting.
They could be at work and not want to answer right then as their mind is occupied with other stuff. And because they care they rather answer later.
To summarize: Texts are generally a very bad way to determine if someone has feelings for you. You miss out on all the social cues that go on with body language and other behaviors.
From experience I'd say, if they don't respond, let them be and if they care, they will write back sooner or later. They usually also write when you least expect them to.
Also chasing someone and being needy over text is usually viewed as quite unattractive. Especially by women.

I've seen in like romance stories, that when someone likes someone, they will find that person as the most beautiful person in the world to them yk.
So yeah I have a crush on this one guy, but I don't think that he's that handsome yk and I kind of avoid seeing his pictures (we haven't met each other in like 7 years lol we just started texting like 2 months ago) ik what I like about him is his personality but I'm confused if don't really like him that way cuz I don't find him physically much attractive help me please
