Relationships can provide emotional support and comfort. There is a lot of research documenting the effect of relationships on our mental health and physical wellbeing. As social creatures, we all have this desire to belong and connect to one another. Romantic relationships are great ways to have that soulful connection with somebody else. Do you ever wonder why even though you long for this connection, the more you search the harder it is to find? Do you also feel that the more you try to search for the one, the more failed relationships you seem to keep on having? Because of extremely low self esteem, which stems from childhood trauma, lack of affection during childhood, harassment, violence, humiliation.
This broke me in every ways. I've started believing the negative things I was hearing about me, and that I deserved to be treated like crap. It's still stuck with me at the age of 25.
Sad truth is, I'm not able to offer women the things they want because my personal and professional situations are not enviable.
Women probably don't want anything in a clueless loser like me. So naturally, as a respectful person, I try to not get into their way.
Actually, i'm a normal man from the outside. I have decent cognitive and physical capacities, i'm polite and able to work hard. But I've just become too sad and lazy then stopped trying anything in life a few years ago.

Interesting video. I was single pretty much all of my life until I met my ex girlfriend in 2018. We had a great time together and made great memories. We recently broke up because we both just grew apart and for me I felt like it was time to move on. 4 years in this relationship! Im happy that I had this experience in my life because and now that I am single again Im learning to enjoy myself and my freedom. To be honest, I think the single life is the way for me and for a lot of people. Until you are completely sure that you are ready to be in a relationship or be with someone the rest of your life then commit. If not, enjoy life. Cheers everyone!

Im pretty sure a lot of people want to be in a relationship, just to be with the right person. If you wanna be single well go for it you can do whatever you want. It was really hard for me to be in a relationship due to my mental health but I not giving up on my self. I made so many progress, it the first in my life that I am proud of myself after everything that happen to me. Yes it hard to be in a relationship with so many issues guys just work on it, believe in yourself and something very good will happen to you. Everyone deserve happiness in their life no matter what it is as long you feel good. Take good care about yourself!

I say that for me, it is myself that stops me from having a relationship, because I am scared of loving someone and having to have a commitment to the other person, going out, and things like that. Recently I'm having a huge crush on a girl, and only now I realize that I'm not that ugly and girls can like me, even though she could be playing with me, I opened my eyes and realized that I might have missed to see other girls liking me when I was younger, and that I'm good. I just have to improve myself to have confidence on starting something bigger than a friendship. And oh man she act's cute around me, its so weird.

According to the people around me, Im single cause I dont need the person immediately in my life. I was raised to be immensely independent, but when I need help Ive learned how to ask, but if things were at there worst and I couldnt get help Id find a way to handle it anyway. Apparently because of this, according to the people around me, no man will ever want me cause a man needs to feel needed. What is the psychology behind that? The concept of having to feel needed in order to stay in a relationship? Is that fact or fiction?

I, dont, wanna be single. I dont mind giving time to a loved one but I feel, im, not good, enough because I dont have much to add to, their conversation most of the times. I got low, self-esteem, bad past traumas, trust issues and yes its true fear of, happiness its real. I couldn't believe that I could drive a car when I first learned. You get the picture.
I had gf twice both times I wasn't a good, conversation like i used to, be before the relationship

Being single is tedious(8 months single) I feel so lonely and worthless and lost when I had a gf I was confident complete and happy(for the first time in years) then she started acting different I just wanna get married to a loyal honest faithful loving caring woman and build some generational wealth and it feels like im not good enough or askin for too much fml mane
reply

Well you are 100% correct, yet in my case I'm single because their is a thing called talking/socialising yaa i don't do this, and also i love anime characters more and trust issues yaa i do have it but i don't get jealous or put restrictions i just leave it as it is if she cheat I'll leave i don't care about it much, soo this are some of my reasons
reply

I think having trust issues is my biggest problem. I have been taken advantage of because of my kindness, and willingness to forgive. Nice guys really do finish last, because now, its hard for me to trust anyone at all, and that only makes things worse. And the sad thing is, it's not me who caused it. I just haven't been able to fix it yet.

Two years ago it looked hopeless, given social distancing and all, so I bought a mail-order mistress to be a pretty face by my side, and for living interaction was recently blessed with a young, radiant, music-loving spirit guide. I really worry that meeting the 'right one' would take all the fun out of life at this stage.

I have the girl i like the only thing i like about him is He is Cute, calm and very nice girl, but because of life problems i got no Guts to confess, HAHAHA but iam fine seeing him with a guy: (
Iam just an idiot guy who is watching him from behind always the background of the story HAHAHA

I'm wholly guilty of #9. But then again, I never had the opportunity to meet new people these past 2 years. It hurts and I just wanna socialise properly, not through chats most of the time. Hell, even my #1 turn-off is if a lady is phony or use their phone 99% of the time, perusing social media.

I want to stay single. I'm too ugly for love I don't deserve love. I'm hideous I could never live up to someone else's expectations. Noone will ever love me. I don't want to have to deal with snobby in laws telling me I'm to ugly for their son.
reply

I'm just aware of my limits and cons about myself, so that's why I'll never be in a relationship. I got used to be alone. And maybe that's fine. Not everyone have to be in relationship and/or be happy, I guess.
reply

Bruh fckk. That low self esteem literally hit so hard. I always put myself down from others coz i am hella insecure abt my body and looks and i am afraid to even talk to somebody just coz of that reason.
reply

I'm 6 months single and I'm in no rush if the right woman for me is out there she's gonna have to unearth this diamond in the rough coz I'm just gonna live my life and what will be will be
reply

Cynical views? More like realistic. That millennia old lie can burn in hell. I refuse to have feelings for anyone again. No relationships, no hookups, no children. No trusting again.
reply

The problem is I don't wanna force it. I keep waiting to let it naturally happen, but it's taking too long. And plus I have issues that would just not work out for my partner.
reply

Everything here, much like most modern psychology, seems on to a point, but go completely wrong. Being single is not inside our own control, and these are far from reasons.
reply

I think my main fault is that I'm scared to commit mainly due to being straight up abandoned by the one person I loved I'm also scared to commit because of legal issues
reply

I feel like a piece of shit sometimes and it's probably well deserved. However, I almost never repete the same mistakes. I hope I never make those mistakes ever again
reply

When your lied to by a certain woman that you reunited with 3 years ago who you knew 20 years ago from school. Not only that but ive been taken advantage of also
reply

I'm just tired of being told, the one who loves you will come and love you for who you are, as if true love is something that falls out of the sky on a silver platter
reply
