We often tend to refer to someone as antisocial when they decline to engage in social interactions. But being antisocial and introverted are very different things. So what are some differences between Introverts and antisocial? Watch this video to find out. introvertsunite5538

There was someone I knew who attends a VRChat party who I believe might've fit the definition of Antisocial:
They were very popular and often times the center of attention, but when they weren't the center of attention they often forced their way into the spotlight.
They really only interacted with other big names at the party, completely ignoring anyone else who tried talking to them if they weren't well known.
Often times they'd step in between two people having a conversation and completely talk over them until they forced one of them out of the conversation to talk to the other by talking over them and/or physically stepping in front of them so they couldn't be seen.
Would these traits count as Antisocial? If not, what would be the proper term to describe this behavior?

I at least feel like i can match most of these traits
Reflective and somewhat self aware, rather be with a small group than crowds, needs or at least wants to cool down after some huge event, constantly using my imagination
And also easily angered, more often feel negative emotions, sometimes not showing any remorse for a rude or harmful action, and more examples for both
I'm also not fully sure if it's my natural behavior or my more common behavior due to where im currently living and the people i have to deal with

One thing that stood out in this video is it failed to mention (inspite having close friends) an introvert will often withdraw from social situations even with close friends. Introverts often want to be alone. I often meet people who seem to refuse to understand this. These people have what I call (lapdog syndrome) in which they always want to be in your face, and in your business. These people are the most draining in my opinion.

Ive been alone since early teens due to moving to a different country. i didnt speak the language so i couldnt really make friends in school, so i got used to being alone and nowadays since i started highschool i made friends but a lot of them are done with school now so im basically alone again in the class (im doing an extra year. Im again at what i feel like is my lowpoint and it sucks it feels like everyone is avoiding me

Introverts and extroverts I believe we're just two things that are designed to work in society. Think it's nature's Way of making sure a species has a better chance of survival. Neither have a huge self-destructive roll right now today's modern age is a lot of things that really bring people down to the low level of almost death and depression. That of course is diet and lifestyle affect a lot of people greatly.

My dad had been telling me for a while that I was an introvert, but I kept on insisting I was ambivert. However, after watching this video, I think might actually be an introvert. Everything they said about introverts lines up with my behavior, personality, and thought-process. But, for extra confirmation, I'm going to watch a video comparing ambiverts to introverts.

One time one of my 2 friends forgot the difference between asocial and antisocial so hed use them interchangeably so I had to remind him hey remember the correct term is asocial and then I remember he always forgets that stuff (yes my friend is an extrovert and before you say oh that cant happen hes just my personality type but an extrovert)

Im an introvert and do not have a small group of friends and I believe most introverts dont either. I prefer to be alone all the time, to the point that I literally loathe being around anyone besides my parents. Its too much though, Ive tried to relax and engage with people but it always feels pretend and its draining because of that.

Antisocial= because you are better than me i am gonna take it down because you offended me and i wont let you get away
Introverts= (they're not really into drama, as an antisocial person i enjoy hanging out with them cause they understand my feelings; ( antisocial is no fun to live with)

I was diagnosed with Antisocial Tendencies when I was younger and still exhibit many signs of them today. Luckily, I have a firm moral center and a very high empathetic threshold to balance out those more negative qualities. Ill admit, Im still manipulative, but I try not to be.

I'm totally an introvert. Like I have a few friends which sometimes thirdwheel me because I don't talk too much in our group. It's kind of sad but idk. Also in 2: 56 that picture on top right corner reminds me of todoroki (yes I love mha)

So long story short: I'm an introvert with narcissistic and antisocial traits/tendencies, but I'm not nearly bad enough to be a real narcissist or antisocial. I was initially an extrovert until slight childhood trauma. Understood.

Pscyh2go, Antisocial is another name for sociopath. It isn't right to use this term loosely when it is a serious mental disorder. The correct word is asocial, meaning, not social. Too many people have corrupted this word.

From what ive observed, Im not mad at you, I dont dislike you, im just done with you for right now. Kinda like putting a toy away? Kinda? Yes we're friends. But im at 3% battery. Maybe later?
reply

Introverts are more reasonable than extroverts since they have more blood flowing through their frontal lobes.
But unfortunately, the extroverts are more than us and they see us as abnormals

I don't know why, but the baby PSI at 3: 46 is unnecessarily cute and really makes my day.
Update: It's gotten to the point where I pull it up on my phone to relieve anxiety.

Hey could you guys do a video about ambiverts, since I'm one myself I kinda want to learn more about it, aside from the fact that it's a mix of introverts and extroverts
reply

I get called antisocial all the time for opting out of social contact with my housemates, who pose a major threat to my mental well-being. It's ridiculous and inaccurate.
reply

I love how you added characters from various franchises into the video as bystanders! (Namely Undertale and multiple different anime) I knew they looked familiar lol
reply

I dont know what is my personality. I just can be any personality i want? Well its kinda wierd to have this kind of thing. Can you figure it out what is my type?
reply

I'm not angry or anything but did u forget the part where they say having these traits doesn't make you an introvert or antisocial or is it there for a reason
reply

i myself will say i got some antisocial stuff but i am well majority asocial you are legit explaining my entire life with the asocial explanation lol
reply

I think im to far gone. Nothing can save me now. Im sorry world. But I understoon the my little pony reference at 2: 36. Forgive me lord for I ama sinner.
reply

I'm introverted, even on VRchat I can't greet someone I really want to when they are surrounded by people I don't know. I'd rather log off. XD
reply

antisocial, yeah im pretty sure we can't blame anyone for not knowing what it fully meant since the word looks like its self-explanatory
