Have you ever wondered what goes on in an introvert's mind? Introverts are prone to overthink - how we process information is different from others. Introverts like to run scenarios through their mind, go through internal thoughts and feelings, plan and analyze before it goes to the brain, and absorb the information. From the challenges of being an introvert to the things introverts think about all the time, this video is a must-watch for anyone who wants to understand introverts better! Here are a few things introverts secretly think but never say. Do you relate to any of these? Do you like quizzes? If so, take this quiz to find out if you're a genuine introvert

I strongly relate 4 out of 5 of the points talked about. When I come home from school, there is nothing i want more than to be alone. I'm almost constantly thinking about all kinds of things, and i'm 95% sure that i'm the least interesting person that i know of. I love to be invited to things, but if i feel too exhausted etc. to say yes to the invitation, i'll tell them no. when i'm in a conversation with many people, i'm not saying too much, mostly just listening and thinking. I'm very bad at small-talking, and I feel like I have a limited amount of thongs to talk about. When i've reached that limit, i'm basically unable to talk to that person, unless they start and lead the conversation. When i talk with people, i'm calculating everything i'm going to say, the same way as one does when playing chess. If I do that, they will probably do this, then i'll respond with this, but what happens then? do they think i'm weird if i do that? probably should do something else instead. I will almost always conclude with not saying anything. However, if i have planned to do someting with someone, (most of the time) i want to do it. I don't make plans in hope that the other person cancels it, I do it because I hope it will happen. I need alone time, and i need to be with other people. If i have too much alone time, i will feel lonely, but if i am too social i will get tired.

Back in the day I used to want to be invited, no matter what, and went. But I have gotten older, and to the point where my friends know they probably won't see me for months. I do appreciate a call or a text now and then: )
I live in this great little neighborhood where, for the most part, people look out after each other. A few weeks ago a dead tree fell across my driveway. I contacted my neighbor and offered him the job (just because we're neighbors I don't expect to not pay for something like that) Another neighbor checked with him to see if I was alright, with my driveway blocked and all--I'd told him I wouldn't be leaving the house for 3 days, so no hurry. Nice to know that neighbors watch out for you! I could write paragraphs of nice things my neighbors have done for each other--I am so blessed to live here!

never feel like introvert (good never did research into it much, but I know the basic of being introvert, like being shy and not so active in public)
but damm. these videos hit hard, as you feel these points somehow
specially the last one, as I'm always who aggree for my emergency rescue organization, where I voluntar. I mean, that week I already agreed to help for 2 different things to help on the weekend, but at the same time, I had like today the mood, not to leave home. of course I still went, as the thing is important and I know it's usual chill, as barely anything happened xD

#4 hits hard for me; when the phone rings or there is a knock at the door. I immediately get stricken with anxiety when I'm home and there is a knock on the door especially if I'm not expecting any one, I usually sit quietly until they go away. Using the phone or an unexpected phone call is rough too; I feel like I'm unprepared for the conversation and that I need to mentally prepare for it, I may not answer the call but I need to get myself ready to call them back, I'm exhausted before I even make the call. Thank you for the video.

One of my major thoughts: 'Why can't everyone else just chill out? '
Because it's exhausting trying to conform yourself to the world or work on everyone else's energy level. Sometimes, secretly, I just wish that everyone else would be more accomodating to my energy, my mood, my pace. It's an unrealistic expectation, but a person can wish, can't they?
I know it's also hell for extroverts, but the way I see it the world is a lot more accomodating to them, so turnabout's fair play.

On the first segment omgggg-
I had a ton of group projects that we needed to think for and I did like 99% of the work and everyone else is sooooooooo laaammmeeeeeeeeeeee about it. They just pretend to think while Im coming up with everything for them and its so anoyyinggggggg like OML. And then I get no credit because Im quiet and dont speak up when we present, so everyone thinks the lame people are geniuses and AAAAAAAAAAAAA
sorry for rambling but nobody is gonna see this so

reply

It's hard because idc mostly about what people see me as but I can't ever not think about what people think of me. I have this friend who calls me so often he interrupted my stream and the thing bout this friend is if you decline or let it ring out he'll do it again, again, and again and loves to call during the night when I am asleep so sleeps hard. But hey I love to talk and when I start to get overwhelmed I become quiet and just listen instead ofc unless I get the option to leave.

I've been struggling so much with being an introvert. Everyone expects guys to make the first move, keep the conversation going. But then when I say things I don't get a response, or if I do it is way later which makes my mind go wild about what if I said the wrong thing. And like the video said, I'm really bad at small talk, so I unintentially delve into deeper subjects that maybe are the wrong thing which probably doesn't help the situation

The phone thing is SO true. My friend, who I can talk to in person for hours on end, called me out of the blue and though I did answer, I was nervous and was walking around outside, shaking like a leaf, heart racing at 190MPH the entire 33 minute call.
This is why the other 99% of the time I just don't answer and text 10-15 minutes later apologizing about missing the call and asking over text what they called about.

Why do I feel tired or has no energy when talking to someone when you want to shut up and be quite but still wish to talk to someone.
This one bothers me. I want to talk but to others but something deep down wants me to keep quite and I suddenly lost energy to keep going. Sometimes, I want to keep the conversation going but I am just to good in cutting the conversation short.

reply

Most of these are what I am experiencing aside from number 4. Id always reply back fast but wont say too much because how its hard to bring up a topic to interest anyone to talk about. Moreover how I always want to be invited instead of coming into a conversation or a game. Including sometimes I dont want to hang out because I need some alone time to relax for a bit.
reply

I absolutely don't want to be invited. I hate having to deal with people constantly asking me to go to parties and crap that I want nothing to do with. My friends are introverts to, so I don't have to worry about them inviting me to do anything other than our weekly TTRPG sessions, which is good because I'd turn them down and not have to hope they cancelled.

Introverts are perceived as shy or boring. But the moment we talk to one person then they labeled you as a serious person because we don't make jokes or laugh for no reason we like more in deep conversations and talk about one topic instead of small talk. So in essence not being comfortable on group settings make us feel apart.
reply

People think I am socially awkward because I will just sit in a corner quietly and read. Sometimes they tease me jokingly, but it breaks my heart how we are so misunderstood because of our quiet, more observant way of living. And this video relates to me perfectly. We are too nice to say no, and will not hurt your feelings
reply

I tend to be introverted, but I don't dislike small talk. Often it is easier for me to joke around or discuss simple things rather than serious subjects. I guess that falls into my thinking that I am boing or not confident or knowledgeable enough to take part in deep discussions unless it is a VERY close friend.
reply

I am 100% all these things. It's like someone just reached out and pulled my secret thoughts and feelings out of me; I can feel insecure about my personality around others, but after reading the comments, it makes me feel better that there are more people like me than I thought- people who understand.

Whoa, 5 Things Introverts Secretly Think But NEVER Say just blew my mind! As an introvert, I totally get the whole overthinking thing. Our minds are like intricate labyrinths of thoughts and emotions. This video finally sheds light on what goes on inside our heads. Can't wait to watch and relate!

1: 47 someone once told me that at first he thought I am a snob cause I am too shy and don't really like small talk, add this with my hobbies to be kind of unusual I don't find many people I feel confortable talking to so someone can misunderstand that to being a snob
reply

Im quite introvert and I must say its relieving to hear the familiar things that introverts do. I personally cant understand whos friends and I dont really know who to talk to when I need someone. The world is a big mystery to me.
reply

At the start, it was said that there has been a huge decline in mental health around the world. I thought it was the other way around.
As an introvert, I resonate with most of the things mentioned.

1. No/2. Yes/ 3. No/ 4. No/ 5. Yes. Nice try but I think this video is more for female intoverts; like maybe ISFP types. I mean, I don't secretly want to be invited AND rejoice when plans are canceled.
reply

WOW I relate so much to everything in this video! I only recently realized Im an introvert, with some extrovert traits. And your video P2G, hits every note with how I think Thanks for making this vid!
reply

I'm introverted to the core. So I don't want to be invited. I don't care what they think about me, also I sometimes ignore my calls and messages cuz I'm too tired to reply to anyone too. =___=
reply

Its a modern thought you always havw to be contactable or expect somone to answer your calls. Go back not long ago, before cell phones. If you weren't home, you didnt answer. No voice mail.
reply

Adding to my favorites list. Your voice and musical choice was so calming, and the topics were so on point I'll be rewatching this video many times in the future. Thank you!
