Do you often dream about success? What do you see in those dreams? Money, luxury cars, a big house, a good career? You may look at successful people and wish you could switch places with them. On the outside, they seem like they have it all, and it seems like they lead perfect lives. But on the inside, there could be an unspoken of, well hidden darkness. You may be surprised to find out that success often comes with a high price. We also made another video on the the dark side of introverts

Numbers 1, 3, and 5 are me. I am pretty successful in what I like doing but it's not satisfying a part of me.
1) I have a few friends but I am never with them for long. My family does not understand me (what I am into is sooo different from what they're into) and I'm not nearly as supported by them like my other siblings. What I am actually good at is not that hype to most whenever a girl I like interacts with me, they lose interest in a matter of days. Very depressing because I always wanted a wife.
3) I worry way too much about stuff, honestly. It feels natural at this point. At night I sometimes worry a ton at night about things; not cool. I had multiple girls I liked dump me for other boys, so whenever I want to ask another girl out it's just these words in my head: Remember the last few failures? Why are you still trying? Still having trouble with this, especially after my most recent crush is basically ghosting me.
5) I am ashamed to admit it but I am not cool or interesting despite being successful. Girls are always going after the sports players in my area, and there are a lot of sports players. I'm pretty fit and I'm very healthy but I just don't like playing sports (I tried many. My friends are always getting the better stuff and the girls. Ugh.

As you have wished it, so I have granted it.
I am successful and have found solitude is likely not an affect of it. It is not just work, it is home life that is solitary as well. When one associates with work and home life a lot, the social aspect of being human is never learned. When home, I am constantly working to improve it, repair it, modify it, make it more comfortable. Nobody knows me to have any feelings about me, nor do I have feelings for others. I just consume my time with work and home. I measure success with what I do with my income, not with the amount of income I make. Though, I make more than most college graduates. I do not leave my money sitting in a bank for strangers to use without giving me much back. Banks are a scam. I spend my income on my home, home comforts, land, and the such. What is left is invested in metals because that can be on the property and can be sold anytime. My success probably does not effect my social life. I never learned how to be successfully social and thus would likely be exactly the same with meager income and an apartment or old tiny house.

I don't think I'm even successful. I'm a middle-school student, in 7th standard. But i feel like I can relate almost all of these things. I am lonely, idk if it's cuz of my height but, all my friends are around 13-14 and act like they're mature enough to talk behind my back. They ignore me, so I feel sad sometimes. Even my bestie, she ignores me.
And for the greed part, can't relate more. My friends are not that greedy, but they consider me a really greedy girl. I couldn't even lend them a pencil for a while.
Idk which type of anxiety, but its socially awkward. I always think, when people are gossiping, I assume they're talking ill about me.
I don't envy anyone, but when someone seems to be smarter than me, I seem to just kind of, underestimate myself.
I'm also a jealous person if someone has been congratulated by the teacher instead of me.
And i dont know about physical issues tho?

This videos definition of success is very narrow. In truth, success is a very broad term and applies not just to career success but to many dimensions of life: spiritual, physical, social, familial, etc. A truly successful person has paid attention to each of these dimensions and done well - not necessarily achieving perfection - in each dimension of life. For example, an overweight, flabby person with heart disease hasnt exactly achieved success in the physical dimension even if he has a net worth of a billion dollars. A fit person with a billion dollars whose family is neglected and alienated has not achieved success at home. A ruthless, nasty person in the workplace has not achieved social success even though he or she might be the boss. And so on and so on. True success in life is many faceted. Not just focused on career.

I've never liked the so called idea of sucessful. Extreme wealth, richness, power, followings, network, glamour. I don't know why they just don't align with my idea is peace and happiness. I've always thought why am I so different? . Is it. Unnatural to quite dislike all these? It's not that I don't have achievements in my life, I've pretty much many, but I don't like to display them, ofcourse the struggle to reach there is real, but what's the sum of all that? Just these material possessions? Even when I am studying and look at other aspirants, they all look at so called motivation of reaching at the top, It all just seems kinda toxic to me.

Nice video, reminds me 9 months ago, when I was so poor and broke I could barely afford two meals a day. I remember taking the biggest step in my life when I invested my last income with an experienced trader who used to work with a Forex trading company. It might not sound like a lot, but it took courage to know that investing was the right thing to do at the time. Today my small investment of only 700 brought me more than 90, 000 of which I invested with a part in the real estate sector. Honestly, to be successful, you need to take a big step forward. This is where it all begins. Forex is also a good investment.

Success doesnt have to be world wide attention and millions of dollars. For some of us it can merely mean climbing out of poverty, getting ahead financially, finishing school, maintaining a career, succeeding in life as a single parent.
Thats why there is so much racial tension and inequality in America todayin my opinion. As an educated and successful woman who retired from a job that is a primarily male profession. believe meI know there are plenty of people that try to keep you from succeeding. It all depends on your definition of success. & your perseverance, fortitude, recognition of self worth.

I think this video does not show the dark sides of a successful life. All those dark sides lead to an unhappy life. An unhappy life is not a successful life. To be really successful in life you have all those things like family, friends, life goals, finances, free time, inner peace. all to get in balance. Money alone makes no successful life. Your career alone does not make a successful life. All of those things that make you happy, have to be in balance.
reply

I don't think this is the case of a successful life. If anyone thinks that you are successful when you have loads of money, great career but no meaningful relationships or free time or inner peace, then you're out of your mind.
You don't have to be unsuccessful in your career to have these other things. A real successful life includes all the things you mentioned they wouldn't have, because it would be on the dark side.

THIS IS LIKE A BOOK WE WERE READING IN CLASS!
There was a girl named Beatrice who was tough and bold at school but at home her dad was an alcoholic and her mom wasn't nice. her mom hated her own son which was Beatrice's stepbrother and he often ran away and didn't come back for a while. But her personality is probably from protecting her brother since she visits him secretly
She's still the same at home though

A lot of people already have these problems despite being successful or not. When your successful, small and insignificant problems like these become your new problems. Would you rather kiss peoples shoes who dont care and feel like trash or would you rather do what you like despite what others think and at least be happy with yourself? If your happy with yourself, you no longer see these problems as problems.

Not too long ago I heard of an article written by a therapist to the wealthy that laid out all the mental issues the most financially successful deal with. Lack of motivation because their company can basically run itself. Not trusting others, even those closest to them. Having spoiled and narcissistic children. Goes to show our current social system fails to truly benefit those it seems to benefit most.

So if I do become successful? I cant have it both ways? . I feel like theres people out there who are successful and handle it to there liking. Everything has ups and downs Nothing has one ups. Like yea if you are successful it could happen to you but I believe that if you were to work hard towards your goal while forming connections you wont really lose anything. Thats just my opinion
reply

The side effects of success are definitely worth noting. Though I do think there is a genuine question to ask as to whether success can be achieved at all without sacrifice and struggle. Consistently showing up and making progress towards our goals can certainly be done healthily, but will we ever make it over that threshold without pushing ourselves beyond our normal limit?
reply

I just realized. I became successful on TikTok having more than 20K then some people started turning against me, even when I vent ALOT of comments see me as the attention seeker and that I have fake depression when I didnt even say I had depression. theyre just making it all up just for a simple one video. thats why I Quited and just enjoyed life!
reply

When you came into the world, you had NOTHING. so what could you ever possibly lose?
I ask myself this question whenever I'm struggling over things like security or safety. What could I possibly lose? AND the answer is simple. Nothing.
. Everything after that is a profit. just bigger or smaller comparatively. ;o)

i think success is more complicated than many people understand. There is external and internal success, with external being things like money, fame, materials. But we need to care more about internal success aswell: love, strong heart, resilience, motivation, etc. Both material and emotional wealth
reply

Well, my idea of success isn't about money. It's about creating. I want to learn to code and make video games while I continue to improve my art. It's not about money, though it is a little about having a job that I may think could be a little more fun, or maybe working my current job but part time.
reply

Exactly. I keep telling everyone this only. you have to njoy life. once you are able to earn for your tummy. bas jindagi me jyada nahi chahiye. happy rehna is the big goal for me and it should be for everyone pata nahi yaar log aajkal sirf Paisa Paisa karte he. you should be happy and satisfied bas

I finally got my Big Boy Job and its been chaotic. As much as I do enjoy it the parts where others blatantly try to sabotage you is unbearable. Even people who you trust easily misconstrue your actions or words. When you have a supportive team theres no end to the sky. The ascension is turbulent.

Like the rest of the world, everyone isnt perfect. People make mistakes and arent always going to ace things the first time. Everyone is human! Even celebrities make small mistakes. Whether your famous or not, there will be times where youll overload yourself, and have struggles to face in life.
reply

I feel that those who are meant to be with you or around you will work with you and your schedule if they especially see you working hard to achieve your goals.
If you die, the money doesnt go with you, but neither do your friends/family. So just live how you want.

It's all about WHAT you consider success. I think so.
All I ever wanted was to have enough money, to not worry about surprising bills. Or even just to have a car, what costs 1000 a year for repair shop and insurrance.
I have that now
