Thank you for this reality check. I think I needed that. It is good to get a good grounding once in a while to avoid getting cocky.
All that said: Overall I think I am a pretty meh-diocre guy. If anyone thinks otherwise - well, that is on them. I rarely make the first move, but I am known for having ruffled some feathers by saying things on the lines of Cut the corporate gibberish - give it to me straight please and save all of us some time. Sunglasses are a must. I don't do bright sunlight as I am pretty light sensitive. Nothing to do with being cool or wanting to be mysterious. Learning from others is a must and not doing so is frankly foolish. I know that my way of doing things might be flawed and that I sometimes am stuck in a rut of old habits. If there is something that I find useful I try to adapt it. Unfortunately this has also resulted in a side effect of me also being a sponge for random trivia of mixed usefulness. As for posture: Let's just not go there, okay? But at least I can get a laugh out of people on occasion.
When it comes to outward appearances:
Let's be real, I am a 40-something year old long-haired and bearded dude who is a little on the chubby side (some might say dad bod) and slowly turning gray. I have no illusions about being an appealing sight - that ship has sailed quite a while ago, if it was ever there to begin with. There are people who disagree with me on that, one of them being my partner who I absolutely adore. But I find my way of seeing myself far easier. Self deprecating humor is my shield here. And yes, I know this might come over as being unhealthy. But given what others have to offer in terms of looks, I sincerely don't think I am the hot shit at all. And I will certainly not be seen making a fool of myself trying to compete in a battle where my odds are that of a snowball in a firestorm. Sure, my self esteem might not be great. But neither are illusions of grandeur about myself.

I don't know about that making the first move thing, especially as a woman. I've been spoken to about that kind of thing _more than once, and the last time I got told men don't like to be chased, it really sunk in. I dared to say to one man, I'd like to get to know you better, and thankfully it worked to my advantage that one time (though I found him _not_ to be right for me, but more often than not, my stepping up and saying something has backfired. The last man who managed to capture a piece of my heart, I had told him nothing, and it _still_ backfired! And he had been behaving toward me the way a gentleman would behave toward a woman he was courting.

Well my 5th period class and I are comedians. my teacher said that were his favorite class than his 4th period, but in 4th period I have a friend there who is smart and my teacher likes him than the rest of the class. which glad my friend is the favorite student in 4th. in 5th he doesnt have one, were all smart and funny to him and the class.
