So fun fact. I've never been on a date before and am not the kind of person to really ask people that kind of thing(it's complicated)
Then, a couple of months ago I met this one girl in my voice class, who I admit looked cute and may have had a tiny crush, though I didn't know for sure. But as usual, I chose to ignore it(again, complicated why.
But I thought they were cool so I wanted to try and get to know them a bit, even if I suck at that kind of thing. I also enjoyed hearing them sing, even if she couldn't project her voice as well as she wanted and was really quiet.
Then one day, she sang out really well, and I felt like I had heard her singing voice for the first time, and for the first time ever, I loved hearing someone else sing. I'm a musician and have heard so many wonderful people sing, but her voice made me want to hear more, which was really new.
She and I were starting to become friendly acquaintances and would hang out after class while she waited for her ride. That day, when she sang out and she and I were the only ones in the room, my brain and body suddenly panicked, as if not sure what to do, which was really weird and new to me. And even stranger, I really wanted to ask her out on a date right then and there. Now I didn't (again complicated) but after a few days and failing to do so in person like I intended, I called her and asked her out on a date. She couldn't make a date work at the time but she said we could figure that out once the semester was over and that I was free to come hang out with her outside of class
And that's what we did, chatting, sometimes sitting in silence, and now hopefully this Friday, she and I will go on a date.
You may ask me why am I writing all this, and this is because of the question Do you believe in love at first sight and the asking them out one. I am still young and typically don't entirely know how I feel about things. But one thing is for sure; I really really like this girl and I know I want her to be a part of my life because I think she is an amazing person.
I miss that I haven't actually seen her in 3 weeks since the semester ended, that I haven't heard her voice I love, and I can't wait to see her in person and bring the funny hats I bought because a) we both get to wear silly but cute hats, and b) She looks amazing in everything she wears.
I'm sorry for the rambling random reader. I just wanted to share this I guess. Or maybe it's just been floating around my head and this video helped me get out my thoughts
Update: So because she had to do jury duty it didn't happen so THIS Friday, assuming nothing goes wrong, it will happen
Second Update: She chose to just stay friends with me, and I understand and support that since it's what she wants. At least I get to still be friends with a really awesome person, so while it does hurt it could have been worse

Shes pretty, but she has Loli vibes about her, so I wasnt sure what to do. I casually mention the fact she asked me these questions to another coworker, and that coworker goes and tells her father, who also works at the store. thinking he would find it cute and lovable.
Yeah, he gets pissed, bursts into her room asking her if it was true. She was honest.
Fast forward 4 days, I have to profusely apologize, and awkwardly ask for her number.
We eat lunch, her dad walks in, pretends everythings cool and they leave for the day.
We exchange a couple texts, then she ghosts.
I ask her friend whats going on, apparently her dad blew his stack after he saw us together talking and laughing, after they got home. He didnt like us together, and as they work and live together, she had to respect his wishes.
Moral of this story, pay attention to the signs and trust yourself, DO NOT ASK FOR THE COUNSEL OF OTHERS, ESPECIALLY IF THEY KNOW EVERYONE INVOLVED AND WHO WOULD BE INTERESTED IN THIS KNOWLEDGE

I do believe in love at first sight, as that happened with my late husband to whom I was happily married for many years. Sadly, our time together ended with his death in 2009.
After being widowed for almost a decade, another gentleman started showing interest in me. I did all I could to make this sweet, persistent man go far, far away as I thought he wasn't my type. He kindly ignored my attempts and hung around like a lost puppy, always happy to see me, being as helpful as an Eagle scout!
At last, to show him that we were not suited, I went out with him and I found him to be quite charming and totally ingratiating. We eventually formed a deep friendship and, nearly four years ago, we were married.
Only within the sheltering walls of marriage did I learn how wonderful he is and that there isn't a type for me. There is only the love of a good man who wants only to make my life as wonderful as he can. Happily, I have the same intention for him!
So I can truly and freely say, there is such a thing as love at first sight, but there is also love after long, thoughtful contemplation.

i asked him if we were friends. he said no even though were in the same friend group and a couple days later proceed to show me a magic trick and smiled when i laughed- then tells me to shut up later, and then agrees with me about something random and then doesnt talk to me. yeah that always fun. im pretty sure one of my teachers knew because when we changed seating chart like a day after we were making fun of each other in her class she put us next to each other. its confusing because he hates me one minute and then tries to make me laugh the next. and hes nice to literally every one else in our friend group
