Has your mental health taken a hit lately? You could be very likely stressed and emotionally burnout. Burn out is a serious emotional and physical condition where you simply do not have the energy to do things anymore. Everything becomes a chore and you lose motivation for whatever you are doing. It's very common especially now, with covid and always having to stay home, and economic stress, but hopefully, you will recognize some of these burn out signs in someone who you care about

a long time ago in december, my PS4 died and its still dead, i felt normal, then febuary hit, my friends remkved me from my friend group and i had an anxiety attackand that day i became insecure, normally when that happened i would hop on any racing game and just drive with no care in the world (preferably in a highway so the car would scream and top out) its therapy for me, but with no PS4 i had no driving, and at that point i felt like my mental health was free falling, no friends, nobody loved me, not even i loved myself, but then being alone with no friends and also having no hobbies because my mom doesnt let me leave the house and still doesnt let me, so my only accessible hobbie, just gone, then one day i had a critical thought that brought me down, my mental health reached terminal velocity when free falling, then one day, i was at my corner, and some girl i always admired which i knew as the beautiful girl on the pingpong table just went to me and told me hey, are you the guy from basketball in 2018? and my day lightened up, from that day on i finally felt loved agajn, and now im friends with the most beautiful girl in school, she refuses to think that she is, but she is, i met some other people, they dont matter to me, as long as im friends eith her im happy, and i love her, i really love her as a friend, like our friendship is almost as if we were siblings, and now ive met other people i love, one of them is a girl that loves rock and loves to read which everybody calls her sol (sol being sun in portuguese, but i still dont have my PS4, i dont have a way to keep calm in the most stressful moments, like when my mom gives me an anxiety attack because of grades, and today i got news that i got an F, and my mom just obliterated me and compared me, its those moments that make, and the way i coped eih that is that i watched people playing assetto corsa no hesi and the car was just screaming flat out on last gear, i felt hate just leaving me, its truly magical, just thinking about it loosens up my shoulders, the noise is a therapy for me, and its amazing, it brightens up my day, you know ehat also brightens up my day
one talk with sun a day keeps the darkness away
im still suffering grkm burnout, like not being motivated, i dont find a reason to motivate, after all my goals are near me (become a professional simracer) only a few months away from me

Hmm I think I'm experiencing a form of burnout or I'm at the phase of getting over it. I've been motivated through my school years and in the first 2 and a half years of univeristy, and managed things lots of people around me considered impossible. But aftern the quoranteens I felt I hadn't. lived. The courses and the projects we had were more and more insignificant to my interest, I started procastinating and having weird sleeping schedule even though I used to be a morning person, I was completing only some of the projects, and I just went to lectures like at the auto-pilot, not even keeping notes from a point and on this semester. I got on fights with my mom about me being lazy, not even tending to the house chores since I don't study, or that I choose to stay awake until quite light at nights but not to do anything productive. There were times I felt weird and guilty about going out with friends, but at least that's over; the only thing that has my interest the last two months is going out. I'm just afraid that I think of trying quick escape methods like getting drunk or trying getting high, but I still haven't done any of those. I want to believe things will get better. I'm trying actively to study for the semester exams, even if I wasn't the best of student this spring, and try to think that I only have practically one more year (the 5th and final, yay) and then I can start a new chapter of life.
I wish for all of you wonderful people outhere the best!

This is related to me, except number 2, I still have desire to socialize with friends to make me stay insane.
I took postgraduate program and recently I make an extreme decision to give up my study albeit I'm working on my thesis. The motive I decided to give up is because I stucked and didn't have any progress in literally 2 years. I tried to use various way to get it done but to no avail. I find it difficult to balance work with study. I used to cry all night long due to frantic thoughts whether I have the ability to complete this study but not having any meaningful solution make me feels hopeless. Not to mention at that time I fell sick several times. I feel guilty to my parents who have high expectations of me but these expectations make me burdened too. And within those years my family and I tried to help to take care of my sick grandma who eventually passed away and the situation make me feel demotivated. Those situations that made me choose to withdraw, and trying to recovering myself. Even though the choice is hard for me, I hope I can get through it well.

This past semester was the most that I've ever felt so burned out because I was stressing over a big (semester-long) research paper in Historiography. I enjoyed reading through old documents and personal letters, but I came to despise working on my actual paper. This was coupled with my perfectionism, and I procrastinated a lot on it. In the end, I managed to get an A+ on my 22-page paper that I spent the whole semester stressing over.
However, I still feel so burned out, even after successfully getting a really good grade on something that I worked hard on. But, I still believe that it wasn't the best paper that I've written, and I only got lucky that my professor didn't grade too hard. All in all, I'm still exhibiting all of the signs of burn-out despite the fact that it's already been like 1-2 months since I finished it.
(on a side-note, I have been struggling with MD and GAD all semester-long, and I'm already seeing a therapist once every week along with taking some medication for both. Though, I feel like none of it is helping)

I've got a question related to this because it's kind of confusing. Everything mentioned in this video is happening to me, so it's likely I'm experiencing burnout. The confusing part is that I just returned from a mini-vacation recently. I, for the first time, joined my trucker spouse on the road and didn't have to think about anyone's immediate needs except my own and a tiny bit theirs. I felt so happy and free during that time but upon returning home I've been extremely irritable and everything mentioned in the video. Am I experiencing something else? How am I burnt out when having just returned from days of peace? I'm very confused and frustrated with my own feelings at the moment

This might sound weird but is it possible to experience burnout from therapy and self improvement?
I ve been in therapy for half a year, seeing them every second week, but I feel like I could talk to them everyday with everything going on in my mind. I feel like now that I know I ve got problems and maybe which ones, I can't really relax. I have deep inner desire to work on myself and can rarely snap out of thinking what next big thing I am going to change in life. It's exhausting.
I know that changing habits and routines is demanding but I feel like I'm somewhat addicted to that.

Quit from a school job to a temporary office job. Though I dont particularly like the office or the workers, I now have time to go on walks, the energy to hang out with friends and peruse hobbies even though they were the same hours.
I make my supper instead on falling to sleep at the afternoon until the next day, I talk to my housemates now.
Incredible what this little change has done for me. I miss the school and the kids, I left one month until the end of the school year and a bit out of the blue.
But I dont regret my choice, Im happier now then I was before: )

I literally just went through a bad case of burnout myself. All it was, was the constant stress due to final exams that lasted the entire week. My school year is over now, and I was told I passed every class this year. Since that week, I've taken the weekend to just chill and decompress for what I've had to deal with. Honestly, when you feel overworked, that's one of the best things you can do for yourself. When it's all done, do something you love and make sure to at least get outside for some air, okay?

School. Exams. God, I tried so, so hard and pushed myself to the limit and I'm getting the exact same old results. I'm sick of it cause I know some people who revised significantly less but got in the 90s and some 100s and sometimes I question if I could have pushed myself further. Tho at the time I felt like I was on the brink of tears every single day. It'd a dilemma I've been in for a while and idk if how much I try will ever be enough

I have a request for a video. I dont know what Im feeling but I feel like Im suffering from PTSD and anxiety due to a convention. Is it normal signs/symptoms when you are reliving past mistakes and crying apologizes in the middle of the night, hiding from certain people and not wanting to go to places you once loved (scared you might run into people?

I had extreme burnout from working a dead end job, 7 yrs of doing the same thing over and over with no advancement and miniscule raises got to me. Just walked out one day and didn't look back. Am now working at a better place overall, my mental and physical health have improved dramatically and I'm less prone to burnout than I used to be.

I was always the top student so a lot was expected from me, but I never got fulfilled getting prizes or medals for math. It was always everyone else feeling proud of me that made me motivated but now it feels like no matter what I do I cant make anyone proud for some reason I always do something wrong.

00: 09 I love the SpongeBob reference.
Fun fact: The Season 3 episode Squilliam Returns actually acknowledges burnout, the pressure of being a fancy waiter, just for Squidward to impress Squilliam caused SpongeBob to lose his mind, that even being represented by his brain-office catching on fire.

Being burnt out makes every day and every interaction feel like having to sit an exam you havent revised for - the pressure of everyone wanting and needing something from you, and where you might not be able to provide that, just becomes too much. It is frightening and lonely place to be.

In this college semester I had to move houses and due to severe anemia I was hospitalized. Even so, I continued with my studies. I know that if I take a break my dad will only blame me, and I will also blame myself. I already failed a class last year. I can't let it happen again.

only experienced this when the bullying got worse 2 years ago, and experienced the brunt of it last year until today. it was hell, and I cant even focus since no procrastinating nor sleep is enough to stop it- still trying to this day to shake it off- so thanks for the tip!

Since I graduated university and started working full time, I've been struggling a lot with getting things done and I lost interest in friends, family and hobbies. I thought I was just being lazy and I've been bashing myself everyday over it. Turns out it's burnout.

Thank you. I never realized, but now I'm noticing that I've been burning out VERY often and have been burned out for a few years. I'm gonna try and reach out to someone soon, and try to resolve this and get back to my fullest. I wish the best for everyone else!

Can someone please help me get out of burnout? I've already switched jobs which is much more forgiving although it is in the same industry as the job I got burnout from. It's already been more than 1 year since I changed jobs but I don't feel any better.

This last year was this. I entered to the two last years of my education and I tried to be the best. I failed and all I just fell astronomically. I don't know what to do now and I fear I lost a great opportunity. I can only think about suicide constantly.

Yes - I'm burning out, to the point that i can't remember what i did yesterday besides being a zombie. And that's why i chose to walk another path. After 5 years i quit my job to study as a Web Developer. And i feel ready for a huge change.

I'm just waiting for that big epiphany moment people experience that seems to change their whole life and set them on a new and exciting path and solves all there problems. I look forward to the day when pigs fly and I'm thriving again
