hi, i have a question that regards a different topic than that video. I have seen the video where you talk about habits to maintain a relationship.
I have a girlfriend and our relationship is great, we are in the last year of high school and we graduate in 3 months. We are together for 3 months now.
The thing is, in country, as a man, you have to do 9 months community service or 6 months army. I am already registered in a job for community service in my home town.
My girlfriend wants to study, which would take her over 70 kilometers away from our hometown. She would move into a small apartment near her university and only visit her home every other weekend, and thats not for sure. And in my community service i will work night shifts and weekends. We are very close to each other right now and we get to see each other every day at school and i go to her place almost once a week. I am kind of scared to think about a future with her because if she goes to study we will meet like once a month in person and i know we will miss each other a lot. do you have any advise what i should do or what do you think will bring the future? is there anything i can do?

on the avoid porn part, ive seen a couple relationships of a few friends break up over porn, usually when watching it became the primary source of relief over engaging with your partner, but (at least for the friends who are comfortable talking about such topics at all) it seems porn occasionally or as the backup is less of an issue, especially dealing with busy schedules or travel and such.
I dont have the experience to back it up, and these are just anecdotes, but eh.

But what if there is too much affection? My boyfriend keeps touching me ( hugs, asks me to scratch his back etc) and recently i realized that when we cuddle its not giving me positive feelings anymore ( I feel irritaited instead) and i was a bit sad, I like to cuddle sometimes but i am tired of constant affection: (

I have zero chemistry. :( I can talk friendly, but don't trust people. After my divorce, I couldn't see myself getting married again. I long for a partner, but it's seemingly impossible to find someone that I vibe with. Touch is my #1 love language, but don't get to use it for anything really.

I do ask a question that challenges this issue.
Are there any people who do watch porn or erotica together and are still ok? I don't think purging it entirely can have the positive changes people expect. I just wanna know if it's still ok in regards.

reply

All these things are important
Communicating w your partner def helps the rela & the chemistry
W time the chemistry elevates once you see your partner in tune w w you
Its spontaneous & keep it spicy waves lengths are also on the same page

I never had a problem, not warchung porn. I kept it for weeks without a problem. But since my last break up, 3, 5 months ago, I watch it almost daily sometimes multiple times a day and i cant stop myself from it. Any tips please?

Don't reject affection from your partner, don't shower someone other than your partner with affection, don't complain about your partner no longer showing you affection after you've rejected every action they did to show you affection.

In my case watching pn is ok, it satisfies me, but still physical contact in this thing satisfies me 3x more, so for me its safe, but idk how other people have this.
reply

Porn should absolutely be normalized, your partner hasn't the same needs as you sometimes, and eventually in order to respect that, you'll watch porn once in a while.
reply

Remember: porn = bad, romantic novel that women like = good.
I mean that's not just some people excusing what they like and condemning what they don't.

reply

Im so glad I have another reason to add to my multiple list of reasons to tell people why watching porn is bad for you and can be for others: D
