Thank you for the validation and confirmation. :) There was a time when I used to do all of these things and times when I used to do some of these things nearly all the time, and as I've gotten older and also had to deal with multiple mental health issues along with some very controlling and demanding people in my life throughout the years had really made me lose touch with those things, like singing and doodling/drawing, and still tend to make it hard to focus on things like deep breathing.
Along with all of that, the self-doubt I face daily makes it really hard to believe myself at the times I do tell myself these things, and the closed-off, escapist mindset I have when I still play video games had brought me to the conclusion that maybe I had just made up any of the positive effects that games can and did have on me.
I've been doing bits of Shadow Work here and there and my inner child is usually what comes to mind, and this has helped it feel like my inner child is still 100% viable and useful in my life, and I plan to move forward with my self-discovery using this newfound knowledge and inspiration.
Thank you so much Psych2go team for all the work you do, it can really make a huge difference.

Hi I need some advice. So Me & my bestie have been friends for 6 yrs and these last 2 years ever since she met another girl in our softball team they became besties and the summer they met they were hanging out a lot more and every time I asked my bestie to hang out she said she was busy or she'd ask her parents and even if I asked a week before she'd say idk or something along those lines. and then I'd look at my friends stories on snap and she'd post pics of her hanging out with her other bestie I talked to her about it she said: I thought you would say your busy or couldn't go. we would hang out like once a month while she would see her other bestie about every other day it's been like this for a couple years now and this summer it's like she doesn't even want to hang out with me at all anymore. So what should I do?

My parents are techincally baby boomers since my dad was born in 1960 and my mom was born in 1962 but both of them went on dates to the arcade and my dad loves Ms. Pac-Man while my mom prefers Centipede. My dad even got the NES and SEGA Genisis so that my mom would play sports games on it, then me and my sisters started playing them too as kids and we would play them together with our dad. So our parents are ok with us being gamers and my older sister and I play video games as a hobby from a young age. I hear comments from people my own age saying how can you spend 100+ hours playing video games when someone else would say the same way how you spend 100+ hours watching movies and tv shows.

Its not me. It was never me.
Sometimes, people feel bad about themselves. Sometimes, they take out their angst on others. How they see themselves, they project onto those closest to them.
Thus, the unfortunate recipient takes it to heart, and their self-image is warped and shaped into a cruel mockery of the truth.
Only via busting down that proxy self-image, that vicarious self-despise, can the truth shine through. Because that is when the magic happens, the truth made clear as day and plain as a meadow in spring
I am beautiful.
Repeat this phrase three times, feel it, believe it, and accept it, because its the truth, and you cant deny the truth
You are so beautiful.

The number one way to change your life is to stop being social. Nobody needs what most, modern friends, have become today. They are just low level oppertunist now. I require no friends, such as most exist today. I also require no girlfriend, with as negative as most are. Most seem to not take care of themselves. Soap and water must be considered wasteful for many of the behemoths that demand a perfect man, in every way. Then they bring to the exchange a 350 pound, mean, rude, loud, smelly, dirty, mess to get the perfect man. They refuse to take care of themselves but demand a man that takes care of himself to perfection. I require no social aspect to my life.

Yes, it's true that games can be a benefit for the brain. At least if it's not everything u do. Cozy games/creative games can obviously help developing and improving creativity. Other games are more logical and focused on finding solutions and thinking. Solving riddles, which is good for the brain. Jump and run games and shooters have also different benefits for the brain. And you can improve your English if you're not a native speaker but the game that you play is in English. They are a variety of benefits. Each type of game has its own benefit. But I can't give specific examples without researching it in the web again

Hi! This is in no way related to the video, but:
Sometimes, when I don't feel really comfortable, something strange happens.
It's hard to describe, it's like I go on autopilot, forget I exist in the first place. This happened to me earlier, while I was taking out the trash. I don't knoe why this happens, I guess I feel this when I'm not comfortable or doing a task I really don't want to do. It's like I get detached from my own body, it's a strange feeling. Did anyone ever experience something like this? Is this normal or should I get worried?

your brain can't know the difference between a lion wanting to eat you and when theres anything that makes you nervous like an argument for example, so take a breath from your nose and let it out slowly so your brain relaxes and calms down, because sure you will not take a breath and let it out slowly if a lion is behind you hahaha. I wish a peaceful life for all of you

I've done all these things at one time or other, most I do quite routinely to this day. I feel like I'm a fairly well adjusted if just a bit imperfect person, as I'm not the best at dealing with really intense situations, but I generally strive in the day to day. So, at least in my personal experience, these things do in fact help me!

I dont ask why i screwed up. I am aware why i screw up, and how to change, i just dont want to. I should, but i dont have any motivation to. I am also mostly ok with my mistakes and flaws, and tho i would like to change some of them, i simply dont. Tho theese are very usefull. Anyway, guess it helps to be an existentialist too

Hey Pysch2go, i was wondering if you could cover signs your a rejection sensitive disorder. I've also struggled with even the slightest rejection, even a small change in tone can put me into panic mode, and just recently realized I may have it, but I'm still afraid that I wll go to somebody but not actually be one.

I loved my 7th grade Social studies teacher because at the beginning of the school year he introduced a set up in our notes that had extra space to the side. Someone asked why it was there and our teacher said in case there are some doodlers in here, theres some extra space for them if they need to do some doodling.

I don't think you should be telling people to play video games. It's waaay too easy to get sucked in and it's also waaay too big of a price to pay for the positives. The dopamine hits you get from playing aren't worth messing with it at all, and I'm saying it while I'm actually starving from games.

I have to tell u this! You have such a amazing voice. like I'm addicted to it! I love your voice. sometimes I listen what u are saying but i listen only to your voice when I am not okay and it makes me feel even more good! It relaxes me! I saw this only for a day and I'm addicted. Thank u so much

How would you like it if you are crying and I told you to stop crying over stuff and call you a baby for 24 minutes straight?

And I experienced everything except singing. Even when I write comments in the episodes which I see valuable for me I practice because English is not my national language so I like to write in it to show your guys my thoughts.

Well you aren't limited to wearing that one pair of jeans. You can probably find alternatives. It depends on the influence from your environment. This is called epijeanetics.

Next time someone tells me to leave my room and do something with other people I say: Let me play more videogames, it's important for my mental health. I get the point but it sounds a bit funny to me. :)

Does drawing guns during a boring lesson count as doodling? Or doI misunderstand this term? At any rate the face and the questionsof the geography teacher were priceless when I got caught.

I remember how I learn about investment when I was still a kid because of roblox roleplay, so maybe that is the proof on why sometimes video games can help to expand my brain's abilities
