Somewhat similar to the video topic but mainly just because I need advice
I'm in a weird situation with the person I like where we started being really good friends and then I started to like her and asked her out and she initially said yes but thought about it and said that she didn't want to be in a serious relationship with someone yet or mess up our existing friendship and she didn't want to talk about it further. We have continued being friends and I am pretty sure we are some of each other's best friends at this point, and multiple people I know have said that they think she does actually like me but she said no and I don't want to be a person who doesn't take no for an answer but simultaneously I don't want to wait forever to see if she initiates something.
I don't know whether i should just give up on wanting to date them for good or keep waiting because I still haven't had any reciprocation of anything other than friendship other than the initial yes and people saying that they think she likes me. I wish I could just ask about it but that seems rude since she didn't want to talk about it before and she isn't very trusting normally and has very few friends and she has trusted me with a lot and I don't want to lose that trust or for her to feel like she made a mistake by trusting me.
I'm just kind of stuck waiting for someone else to initiate when I don't even know if they like me or not or I just give up completely which seems like the option I should choose but most people I have talked to have said to not give up completely and just to wait for her to say something about it. I don't want to just be waiting forever and the more I talk to her and do stuff with her the more I like her and I feel like the longer I wait the more it will hurt to give up. Its an annoying situation and I am not entirely sure what to do.

I waited way too long to confess to my crush and even when I did, I failed to ask her out. A lot of drama ended up happening between us as good memories were few and far and in between. It turned out to be more of a learning experience for me, but it still haunts me all these years later as my main weakness is not moving on/letting go.

Responding emotionally well works, I speak from experience. She looked sad and was standing alone at night (after tennis practice, I later sent her an email expressing my worries for her and she thanked me the day after, and she now looks at me more. I also think we match pretty well and we both give off our mystery side.

I've been having some issues with my crush as well, yeah.
I want to impress him, keep him safe, and be there for him all at the same time, but it's been difficult.
I'll try to remember some of the stuff in this video when I think about him, though.

My problem is that almost every time I find a new crush, I later find out that they already have a partner. But I still try to impress them as much as possible, as I d still like to be friends with them. And who knows? Maybe one day they ll become single again
