[if you don't want to read this, i understand, but just know that im trying to get out of my comfort zone rn. ]
i have been through. a ton, to say the least. when i had started school, i had no friends, i was labeled as the weird kid for god knows what. every time i made a friend, i was always picked on for having that friend, usually something like (my name) is gay or something of the sort, i'm not gay, and there is nothing wrong with being gay, but it always ended up in that friend moving to a different school. when i turned 10 or so, i started playing roblox, socializing, got a friend group. but then that friend group had started picking on me too, i was a dumb kid, so i liked a girl online, the whole group would play pranks about that girl saying she liked me, and when i said that i liked her too, they would all throw it in my face. when i had turned 12, the whole group had fallen apart, i fell into a spiral of needing a new group of friend until i had just given up. when i turned 13, one of the girls from the original group had texted me back, and i let her back into my life, she had been hurting herself due to her own hardships, i eventually fell for her, and built her up out of that mindset. just for her to leave me for another guy. mind you i was 13 or 14 when this had happened, and still didn't have any friends at school, so it hit hard. me and her are still friends, although im terrified to bring anything up about our past relationship because she used to always scream at me for it, when i had become a freshman in highschool, i was lonely, became that quiet kid that had no social skills, during sophomore year i had gotten two friends, i had started trusting them, even trying out pickup lines on one, directly saying i was only trying them, and i didn't mean anything by them. only for her to say that i was hitting on her, telling her friends that i was trying to do something or whatever (she hasn't told me what i had done besides that to this day) which led to the second friend to absolutely hate me for no reason. then my current year, junior year rolled around. i had gotten another friend, and my neighbor who had came to my school and became my friend, and after a few weeks, my neighbor said, right in front of me, to my new friend im only friends with (my name) because im his neighbor and then when on to say that no one in the school liked me, how everyone hated me, and even said that they wanted to hit me when i walked by. and now, and still, they are just insulting me, right in front of my face, and just laughing about it, i try to participate in a school assembly game, they tell me i shouldn't and even my own classmates do something similar, for example, this Thursday, we played volleyball for spirit week, i had said multiple times that i wanted to play, and when it was time, my classmates had already said they had picked a team, thankfully, one of them didn't go up, so i had gotten in, only to mess up once, then getting subbed out for someone else, and then when we got back to the bleachers, i over heard one of them complaining on how i had sold the whole match i had only lost them a single point for not hearing when they said it would go out, they lost by three points or so. i still struggle with even letting people close to me. i'm only 16, about to turn 17. and yet i still feel like i have so much more pain to live through. i honestly have gotten to the point where bottling my emotions seems like an automatic process. i can never bring myself to tell any therapist my full pain because either they leave or i have to leave not even a year later. so, i've just wanted to throw it all out there, internet can't leave me, right i'm not trying to trauma dump or anything, it's just gotten to the point that i'm genuinely scared i'm going to break or snap. if anyone has read this, thank you. and i hope you have a blessed day, despite the unnecessary knowledge i have just put in your brain about me. and is someone from Psych2 go is happening to read this, thank you. you have helped me more than even i can imagine, your videos are a great way to just unwind and either escape from everything or try to find some insight into myself.

Empathy is something i lost in my opinion after all i had or still going trough. I think humans are bad with a small number of exception's. On one side i would love to connect more to peopel, when i stand in the middel of the market in our town i feel like i'm the only one there, like everyone around me is part of a different species, me being a elephant and all the other people are bird's or something like that. And on the other side i have this massiv shield that prevent's me to go to other's and talk to them and prevent's others to talk to me. My therapist say's alway's she can feel how much anger is in me even when i'm in good mood and that is probably scaring of peopel to interact with me despite me not wanting to be alone anymore. And i have just too much fear to talk to other's, laughing over me, yelling at me or anything else. I just want to stop suffering from all that happend, but i guess it will never stop, i just can hope i will find a way to manage living with all of that befor. well i didn't think last year around this time i would make it in to this year.

Ever since I've had near death experiences because of my chronic illness, I kind of developed a severe want to please others and I've been taken advantage of too much. Now I just don't want to help people anymore because most likely I'll just be taken advantage of.
Also the need to have a backup all the time, I find myself having so many contingency plans for things that could happen and because I can't get my life destroyed again I won't be able to take it anymore because my life has been so destroyed already. I lost my career and all my savings. If that happens again I'd just run out of resources and no way to get anything back again.
One thing that wasn't mentioned was not caring anymore I don't quite know how to describe it, but I used to fear heights, surgery, and other things too. After all the bad things that happened I just don't care anymore I'll survive sure, but I'm not afraid to go offline anymore if it happened. Maybe I'd call it acceptance.

Agree with all of these.
That's why healing feels so painfully slow.
Even if some of these traits are good to have, they still make me feel dysfunctional, especially the isolating and not wanting to ask others for help.
Asking for help makes me feel vulnerable, and I hate feeling vulnerable.
So I just keep trucking along every day, trying to manage my own intense emotions, watching self help videos, reading books, etc. What else can I do
Therapy can be helpful too, but I've always had issues with therapy, so I usually have to try other methods.
I'd rather vent about something, and try to fix it myself eventually. Even if I vent about it for months, years, etc.
I've been to therapists in the past, and they never really know what to do with me, since I don't fit into their typical treatment protocols.
But I know therapy can be very helpful to others, so I always recommend it. It's just not the best path for all of us.

One of my carers noted that I always bring a lot of things in my bags that prepare for most emergencies. When leaving home, I always overthink (what if I need this What if this emergency happens I'll need to be prepared. It's very hard to ask for help because in the past, when I just recovered from an OD and got discharged, I'd have to find my own way back to the homeless accommodation. It could be 4-6am in the morning and I've become so familiar with public transport to not rely on anyone else-because I couldn't rely on anyone else.
Because of my experiences, I always worry if the roof over my head will stay there. Even though I'm back with my family, I could get kicked out at any time. There must always be a contingency plan no matter what. Being too trusting in safety was always a trap for me. I don't like to rely on others because it's not a permanent thing. It will always change.
Strange how trauma changes how you think.

Wrote a lil poem for why the countdown exercise is actually harmful for me xP
Find 5 things, 5 things you can see
It hurts my eyes, I just want to leave
Find 4 things, 4 things you can hear
Every word and sound, brings me to tears
Find 3 things, 3 things you can touch
I'm overstimulated and its all too much
Find 2 things, 2 things you can smell
Just going this far has been only hell
1 more thing, 1 thing you can taste
This whole exercise has been a waste
My senses turn to weapons, trained back on me
I'm damaged by my efforts to percieve
I'd try to reach out, but I'm lost inside
Both brain and body, I am paralyzed
It's not I dont want to speak, I cant keep waiting
I just simply can't, its overstimulating
This whole video has been painfully accurate aside from that >. <
I kinda wrote this hoping people would relate to it and understand

this really helped me learn and grow, especially as someone who has a mindset of overthinking or i would say to have a better grasp of it, negative expectations, i thought it came from my previous relationships but no it's not, I'm figuring out that it probably came from my childhood, I'm a little or too complicated and figuring out if im being problematic but i have no idea yet, as i am still today but I'm learning how to be better, i would always make allot of mistakes as a child and it would make my parents and sister angry and back to the topic of my negative expectation, whenever when something is wrong or when i feel like something is wrong, my mind will js instantly go to a mode where it'll find any possible problems that could go so badly which makes me, find ways where i can prevent those from happening although mostly, i don't care and js wait to let it happened.

Welp. No wonder why I feel like I wanna be a streamer as when I get older. Cause I have when I get upset after being scared I see myself listen to people like caseoh or markiplier. Cause as I quoted: sure some people listen to music. but a lot of others. never want to listen to sad songs or any songs in general. but instead want to listen to people play games. maybe whatch them scream in a horror game. or them make jokes about themself. also another reason is Cause I want to light up others Cause I've found, that being the butt of the joke by making myself the joke with no one pointing it out. is nice. cause I know i could brighten someone's day. even if it's not much. and finally I could vent so others can connect and, take a step back to look at themselves to reflect and learn more about there life

All these things are reasons why I develop so many hobbies. Jewelry Crafting, Miniatures building and painting (Warhammer Fantasy and 40, 000, Canvas painting, Gaming, all this is extra things I choose to fill my time with because there is no one there to rip it away from me, and to tear me down
When people are the primary source of your agony, you shut yourself off from them, yet find yourself caught in a paradox, because you have a strong want for real friends, a real relationship, wanting success for yourself by being out-going, etc
You come to understand life as you get older, and come to understand people less and less. This is why I talk to animals, especially birds. I love birdies.

I often times wonder if i did have it rough or if it was just in my head, just wanting attention. But at least i got the confirmation that i was, in fact, suffering for who knows how long. No one believed me and they always made me believe i was the problem, never hearing my end of the story. And i kept doubting myself because the suffering i was going through was not visible in any aspect.
So i ended up making a whole story, comic, about such sufferings, hoping that maybe, someone out there reading it might find some kind of closure and comfort. Like i did similarly in those times
Reading something close to my situation always made me feel seen.

I lost my best friend because i vent my anger on him.
I didn't want to make friends, cause I'm scared ill hurt them.
I one time called him autistic cause i was angry. Then my best friend is autistic, and he is very very sensitive to that word.
Now my ex best friend is now friends with a group of girls. In my class, theres more girls then boys, the boys are very annoying, me and my ex best friend are not included, then after i lost my friend, i just stayed alone.
My ex friend eventually forgive me snd wanting to be friends again. But i said no. Cuz im scared I'll hurt him again.
If this makes sense, pls like the comment

I just clicked on this video just for fun, but i was surprised that it literally just explained myself. I have most to if not all of these traits, but i dont feel like I've went through many hardships, or at least no major ones. Unless i got some weird repressed memory type stuff, but i dont believe i do. It's also weird since I've realised and noticed that i have a TON of traits/tendencies of an abused child, but i don't believe i was abused at all. So, does that mean I'm just more of a nice guy or something, or maybe something i dont think is a hardship may actually be affecting me a lot more than i think, I'm not sure.

I relate to almost all of them, sometimes I don't understand why I feel sorry if anyone suffer - even sounds from slaughter house worries me - I thought I'm too sensitive
When strangers say you are so friendly and sweet - I didn't think my trauma made me so
Though I'm extrovert eventually turned into ambivert - I still amazed how I changed, now I understand trauma made me so
I'm craving for independence like leave me alone forever - I'm good that way.
and many more qualities or traits explained in the video.
This video helped me alot - to understand me more and to improve myself

When strangers say you are so friendly and sweet - I didn't think my trauma made me so
Though I'm extrovert eventually turned into ambivert - I still amazed how I changed, now I understand trauma made me so
I'm craving for independence like leave me alone forever - I'm good that way.
and many more qualities or traits explained in the video.
This video helped me alot - to understand me more and to improve myself

Thank you once again Psych2go! I've exhibited all of these traits, and I'm on the path of uplifting myself after finding myself in a negative pothole. I've had people who are doing their best to reassure me and it's helpful, but it still feels like I'm on a boat and I'm trying my best to keep it steady. The Fog rolled in and I can't see the way forward as clearly anymore, but I'm keeping my head high and just trying to slowly paddle forward! You guys are awesome and I love being able to feel that there's a community out there who feel and think like me about the inner self and well-being

You've listed several positive traits of someone who's suffered too much, but not the negative traits, saying too much implies they are burdened by it and whatnot, not that they've grown from it. While informative I feel like the title was a little, wrong, for qhat the video was about (not completely though obviously, but the phrasing could be more accurate cuz there's a difference between suffering a lot then growing/getting stronger from it, and suffering a lot while ending up being bogged down by it, burdened by it, continuing to be pained by it.

What forces people to stay quiet about excessive hardship is the insinuation from people that it was likely deserved. Yet those people will preach empathy to you, living in their own hypocrisy. Forgive them, for they know not, they have never seen the difference between suffering and cruelty with their own eyes.
Those who have truly led a life with such hardship can offer tremendous insight. They do find the lessons through the situations. Let them impart that wisdom

For trait 1, I have the opposite, I want to see people suffering like I am, not cause it of course, but to see it even if I end up trying to help if I do notice.
I've also began to see life as something to endure and survive, not something to enjoy, I've told people many times life isn't sunshine and rainbows, such a thing doesn't exist.
I've also begun to have the phrase 'I crave freedom' pass through my mind here and there, sometimes it's louder than other times.
