From a Man's perspective, let's dispel these by pulling back the curtain
1 Instill some QUIET Confidence. WOMEN say they like that, but they really don't. THEY WANT COCKY. It doesn't work at work either. You get looked over while the COCKY gets promoted, even if they are incompetent, which most are.
2 Give RESPECT. WOMEN say they want this, but they really don't. They disrespect you at every turn, but love it when you disrespect them, but only as long as you are that top 5%, that ALPHA, that Chad or Tyrone. They roll over for it. Your work also disrespects you at every turn. Missed promotions, under paid, but they can count on you to get it done, and pick up the slack of guy that was promoted. Thanks bud!
3 Implement the GOLDEN RULE. Do onto others as you would have done to you. Again, WOMEN say they want this, but they really don't. They will WALK all over you. Why? because you are the NICE guy, The GOOD guy, the one that is fair and honest. WOMEN DONT want that, it represents weakness to them. Hence why they throw themselves at the Chads and Tyrones out there. These guys don't follow that rule and WOMEN love it. Work also doesn't follow that rule, unless of course it's in their favor. It's a one way street guys.
4 DO NOT engage in gossip. Again, WOMEN are the perpetrators of this. They GOSSIP till the cows come home and then some. Work? You ever wonder why you didn't get that promotion? Simple. It's because some gossip about you got to the boss and well, end of story.
5 DO NOT please everyone. This is right up the WOMEN's alley as they are all about pleasing themselves first and foremost. This is why they LOVE Chad and Tyrone. These two only Do as they Please and the WOMEN chase them all over trying to please them. You? They couldn't care less about. Work? Work will always EXPECT you to please them no matter what, and when you do? They will only raise the bar, stating that what you previously did is now the ground floor. Oh, and by the way, you need to please your new boss, you know, the one that got your promotion.
6 Be yourself. Sure, if you want to get no where. Women don't want you, they want CHAD and or TYRONE. Work doesn't want you either, they want a ROBOT that will jump before they even ask.
7 RADIATE Positivity. Yeah, sure, be that ray of sunshine. WOMEN love to trash guys like you, they don't want Bright, Cheery, Happy, Warm. They want the Dark, Funny, Skin Deep Chad and or Tyrone. He's really warm too! Work doesn't care if you are like that either, as long as you get your work and then some done, only then will they be barely satisfied. But don't worry the guy that got your promotion, he makes them laugh.
8 Real Kindness is what matter. Women claim this, because that is what everyone wants to hear. In reality. News Flash. They don't. They see Kindness, Understanding, Generosity and Accountability as HUGE by LARGE Weaknesses and Detriments. They have no trouble not being kind when it comes to you, but if your a Chad and or a Tyrone, their Understanding knows no bounds. Work doesn't care if you are kind either. It just gets in the way of productivity.
9 Good LISTENING Ear. Women don't care that you can listen, well if you do, it means they have put you in the FRIEND ZONE. You will never get out of that, and if for some reason you miraculously do? It will be for a very short time, until the next Chad and or Tyrone comes along. Work also doesn't care, well, that is, unless it was the GOSSIP they found out about you earlier, and stopped your promotion in favor of their COCKY one.
10 OFFER your Support. Women love this, as long as it doesn't come with strings attached. They always need someone to buy them their Starbucks and bring it to them. You really supported them there. Thanks. They are off to see Chad and or Tyrone now to get even better support. Work will do nothing but abuse your support. Keep giving it! They want more!

Me: i do my best to just be genuine and kind and compassionate but nobody really does the same for me. I feel like im wasting my time caring for people who will never care for me.
4. Dont gossip
Me: literally dont care about other people's life decisions
5. You cannot please everyone
Me: yes I am insecure

Me: being myself and people literally dont understand me or my humor or the fact that sometimes i'm in the all time low. people just dont understand my personality and they just eventually give up on me.

Me: tries to be as positive as possible and bubbly and people feels uncomfortable and some gf jealous cuz i just being bubbly and friendly. It always taken the wrong way. Also gets mistaken as flirting. when im just being honest and friendly. hoping to make friends.

Me: again like mentioned above, me being kind and caring and genuine gets mistaken as flirting or weird. i hate it.

This only works with good people, most peeps are genuine assholes, and I do mean most. They want money, or endless favors, or just another pair of shoulders to dump all their problems into, and are just bad friends in general.
Making true, loyal friends isn't hard if you carry yourself like this, and situations where there's literally no one that you can associate with are kinda rare. (I've only had four in the 22 cities I've lived in)
But this doesn't work for attraction, you could be the greatest person in the world and if you happen to have a shit appearance almost no one is going to feel attracted to you.
And not only that, but everyone's interested in absolutely random stuff that no one other than the person themselves can tell, unless you spend alot of time with them.
There are people who value personality and kindness above all, not caring about appearance, but they are so rare that pretty much everyone has an appearance standard.
If you wouldn't marry a kind butt-faced shriveled old man, then you have an appearance standard.
Also this won't work if yer stinky, since EVERYONE has pretty high hygiene standards.

Honestly I find active listening incredibly irritating, distracting & not at all helpful.
If every time I end a sentence or pause I hear yeah, yeah, uhumm, yeah, wow, yeah, ok, totally, yeah, I know, yeah. I want to stop talking with that person.
Same if they just repeat part of what I said back to me. People who are actually enjoying talking with you won't do that.
The whole concept just bugs me in general. You are either listening or you are not. You either care or you do not.
The only time you need to be told to listen, or to actively listen is when you don't care but are expected to.
