Y'know, normally I love everything about these videos, but this one sorta missed the mark for me. Unfortunately, I didn't get the impression that any of these tips were in reference to emotional maturity, but rather about how to live a happier, more peaceful life. (Which is still a good topic on its own, but it's not what I was hoping to get tips on when I clicked this video)
Also, I know there are going to be people here who take what I'm about to say the wrong way, but some of this advice seemed to fall dangerously close into the realm of toxic positivity to me. While I agree that too many negative thought patterns will only serve to keep you down, telling people that they HAVE to ONLY think about the positives can come across very dismissive and invalidating. If somebody is upset that their partner at their donut, for example, telling them that it's just a donut; why are you angry about a donut is dismissing the fact that what they're REALLY upset about is the disrespect and inconsideration from the person who ate it on them.
Emotional maturity is about finding that healthy balance between positive and negative thoughts/experiences/behaviors. because the REALITY of life is that not everything is going to be all sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes things just f'ing suck, and that's okay! And yes, I know there were certain points in this video where they touched on that, but again. I'm really sorry, but overall I feel like this one just kinda missed the mark for me a bit.

I just had a daughter, and a second kid is on its way. Unfortunately raising my daughter has made me realise that i cannot cope with her emotions and i get incredibly frustrated when she remains emotional when i dont believe that is necessary. I also retreat when life is getting me down, or i unload on my wofe and child. I have a hard time identifying my own emotions and often lean towards verbal aggression to vent my emotions. This clip is a way too simple representation of reality when you are emotionally immature, as the things which are suggested here are things i feel incapable of even identifying let alone doing. Can anyone here point me in a better direction?

As a side note (not criticizing this otherwise wonderful video, Mother Teresa is NOT a good role model. She had close personal relationships with controversial public figures, such as a Haitian dictator (Jean-Claude Duvalier, a convicted felon in a 1980 loan scandal (Charles Keating, Jr, and she even defended a serial child-molesting priest (Donald Mcguire) which led to delaying his sentence & him abusing more victims.
She had other controversies such as reports of poor living conditions in her orphanages & mismanagement of funds. In short, she is NOT a good role model.

the thought diary helped me a lot. it helped me manage my emotions especially those very destructive negative thoughts of anger or depression that i can't handle well. now, i've come to a conclusion of keeping a different diary. a diary wherein i would write everything in. if ever i would feel those negative thoughts again i would look back to the first page of the diary where i wrote affirmations about myself and how the other diaries i've kept had turn out so that i could turn those negative thoughts into possibly positive ones.

Me and my older sister were fighting and she was calling me names and stuff them I called her names and she pushed me and so I pushed her and she told me that when she was my age she was way more mature. I was baffled and eventually it got into my thoughts. I couldnt stop thinking about it so I searched up how to be more mature. I came across this video and figured out I do most of these things and my sister doesnt do any of them I dont think. Im not going to harass her about if ofc but yea: )

In the last 2-3 years, I realized it's not worth acting upon small things. Whenever I wanted to cry, I would think, We have a pillow at night. Cry there. Don't cry here! Usually, I would almost forget why I wanted to cry at night and go to sleep.
I have only cried maybe 4 times at night. What do you do?

Not entirely ok about the donut. Once I made a dessert (tiramisu, I made it myself from scratch) for my inlaws. Wrapped it out and put a note on top saying I made it for them. Then my brother still decided to unwrap it and took a piece anyway. That was so disrespectful I'm still upset about it.

For the first one: what is the difference between letting go of anger because someone ate your food, and letting them get away with eating your food? Because, that implies that you can just get taken advantage of because they can take what they want and you won't fight back.

I don't know if I'm emotionally matured but these things I did when I'm mad:
Sighing.
Controling my emotion.
I don't show what I felt.
Being patient.
Being quiet, avoiding arguements.
I don't repeat the arguements.

This taught me to be more open at all things first, then choose the option which feel most correct to us than judging other views straight away and being stubborn on an opinion without knowing the rest of the existing opinions out there
