What the Most Powerful Magnet in the Universe is Capable of: Magnetars Explained The most powerful one us humans have ever witnessed was 50, 000 light years away. So, the light we witnessed from that event took 50, 000 years to reach earth. So we witnessed something that happened 50, 000 years ago. Just think about that for a second.

So does the mass of the star get so much lower when collapsing? And why is that? I do not know what neutrons are made of but I guess the -building blocks- of electrons gain mass when combined with the ones from the protons into neutrons. Am I right?

First of all, Thank for your team to making such an incredible videos, I-ve learned more about space and expanded my knowlegde about every field. But I have a question for you. What is a difference between a magnetar and a black hole?

1: 54 you don-t pronounce the --- as -dash- when you read pulsar-s names, it-s -minus. - You literally say the letters and numbers then -minus- the rest of the numbers. Learn the lingo before uploading more videos

I have a theory on gravity
If we contain iron, and earth has magnetic fields, then we are just magnets with gravity just being magnetic fields
If I am wrong, please correct me in the reply section

At 3: 02. .. If a human got to within 1, 000 kilometers of a magnetar, wouldn't its magnetic field literally pull all of the iron atoms out of his/her body first?
reply

I thought a magnetar are massive in terms of gravity, so 20km magnetar near Pluto etc. whole Milky Way will and even or Sun will circle it?
reply

I'm watching this in 2020. now all I can think of is waking up to see the molten iron core of the Earth being sucked out into the sky.
reply

Put a magnatar Into our solar system the same distance away that our sun is and it would pull all of the iron out of your body.

Me: Wait hold up.

reply

Wait, so any planets that might have had life that were close to it were just recently wiped out by that Starquake.

Is the narrator's voice is synthetic or somehow changed from the natural human voice? Because I feel disgusted hearing it

4: 07 since its 50, 000 light years away from us doesnt that mean it happened 50, 000 years ago and we-re just now seeing it?
reply

How coincidental! I was just watching this video when I saw a neutron star less than a light year away from Earth -
reply

-the gods of planets
ok earth and magntar you have to social distance 9000 light year away so earth dosent die

What about black holes that are extremely charged? lets say a blackhole entirely made up of electrons for example!

Try to get this comet to 100 likes then then I will edit this comet and make it say we did it lol pls like: ) lol

Follow up question. If you got ose to a magnatar would you even feel pain as your atoms were rearranged?
reply

I feel like stars get their name from the coordinates of which they were found in, or something like that

Whenever RLL says -But there's (thing) more (adjective) than even this/these- you KNOW shit is happening.

Actually, the distance suggested to be enough to eradicate life on earth was a lot further away - 8 kly
