Just a correction: after the Carnation Revolution in Portugal, the Portuguese government were actually begging to PR China that the handover happen sooner, but China was postponing it later since they do not want to spoil the Hong Kong handover, which was more geopolitcally important for them. Also Portugal wanted it to happen in 2003/2004, on the 450th anniversary of the lease of Macau, but China was not patient enough to wait for that long anymore. Hence the Macau handover happened on 1999.

In 2018 Macao got revenues value of $33 billion, while Las Vegas in 2019 got $25. 4 billion. On the other hand using purchasing power of yuan in China to that of dollar in U. S those revenues of Macao were likely 4 times bigger of Las Vegas. So i would estimate Macao having about 4 times bigger gambling business than Las Vegas.

Why not check the truth before making the video? Mainlanders do not need passport when go to Hong Kong and Macao, but only Hong Kong and Macao passes (very easy to get. Many people live in Zhuhai and work in macau, they across the border everyday. Passport would be troublesome

The UK only signed a treaty with the Qing Dynasty of China in 1898 to lease only the New Territories to the UK for 99 years. The rest of Hong Kong - Kowloon (south of Boundary Street, Hong Kong Island, and also Ap Lei Chau could still be British today.
