How 1 Photo From Space Explains ALL of History A couple of things:
1. North Korea may be totalitarian, but it is far from fascist. Its communist, which is a different ideology altogether.
2. I was very surprised that you didnt say anything about the Bakken oil field. The population has exploded there but for sure, most of the lights you see on the Bakken are from oil rigs, not houses.
3. You cant possibly say that Aleppo will never be like what it was, pre siege. Look at Frankfurt. Or any of the other dozens of cities that were bombed/leveled/destroyed during WW2 and are now among the most populated urban areas in the world. Recovery in Aleppo is definitely, definitely possible.

Will we see anything as extraordinary as the invention of electricity in our life time? I feel like seeing a lightbulb come on for the first time must-ve felt like actually seeing magic. I know we-ve been to space, but I think it would be more shocking to go from candles to a switch and light appears.

The reason for the single dot of light in the middle of Australia is solely due to Alice Springs, which was part of the Overland Telegraph Line. It was settled in 1872. It serves quite a few purposes
Pine Gap came nearly 100 years later, and is the least important part of Alice Springs existence.

this 'map' is some of the most laughably bad u. s. propaganda i've seen. they seriously expect us to believe that north korea is just pitch black at night. it's a country of 26 million people that has electricity and modern industrial infrastructure. it should be about as bright as eastern europe
reply

F you all the civil wars was made by Europe and America
The Muslim is so Peaceful
Put some Governments It wants to end peace and create conflicts in order to obtain its gains like now in Sudan all the big country rush to send her soldiers to get some land

I am starting to get annoyed with the same ending every time -Oh I cant talk about war in a video that is not about war. You should go to a totally separate side where I can talk about it. Please I don't want to feel bad! -- Come one dude. dislike

You have lied so much when talking about Syria, I'm not surprised, the lights have faded there because of your military presence that's stealing their oil mate, do your homework and be honest, stop repeating the lies of the mainstream media.

The Chinese were forced to leave the country side and move into the city-s and accept the social credit score life style. Please don-t make it seem like they were all just happy about it -looking for opportunity-.

The only fat man in north Korea Kim Jon dummy let his people sit in darkness I bet he got electricity and plenty of food to. after seeing the night map of north Korea these people need to over throw this maniac

Hey man the Korean War never ended. A cease fire is not a truce. The Korean War is actually the longest war ongoing in human history. Just fyi to people who think the Korean war-s over cause its technically not

This also illustrates something people seem to forget: the US had trains. We just did not put the money into them so they never developed and have pretty much solely been relegated to freight and goods transport.

Ye, Australia. I crossed Australia from Sydney to Perth. On a train. It took two and a half days. One and a half days of that was in the desert. It felt like we hadn't gone anywhere. It was amazing.

I want to see a video on the biggest execptions to the normal geography that builds civilizations. What are the most successful countries or strategies for overcoming mountains or lack of water?
reply

it's crazy to think the whole U. S. started in a group of states called the original 13 colonies and I live in one of those states. specifically one in the group of states called New England

I like how you don't mention how Syria was bombed by everyone, even the united states committed war crimes in there and the soldiers don't face any consequence. It's disgusting.

I'm sorry I see no difference in the India photomosaics. China is very apparent, but India you just changed the background blue. Plus your script and vocal emphasis is quite hyperbolic.

I enjoy the content of your videos (a lot, but the voice over style (the going down on words at the end of almost every sentence) makes it hard for me to connect with you.

The Western United States are really something special. There are some cool cities, but the vast areas of empty are so amazing.

-North Korea is an inefficient, totalitarian, fascist state-
Sonic (me) didn-t expect the country to be called fascist.

I'm sure the Saudis bombing Yemans schools and hospitals also view themselves as Civil -

reply

North Korea is not fascist, it's communist. America's neo-liberalism is closer to fascism than the DPRK.
