Remove your blindfold and you'll see that life is indeed meaningless unless you give it meaning. People want you to think that this particular view on life will make you unhappy. It won't. You can be happy and think that. Problem is that you won't be as productive if you think that. If you think life is meaningless you won't serve society. There is peace in oblivion but this isn't that. Meaninglessness can mean freedom. Once you understand that, you can be whatever you want.

I do not think that life is meaningless but neither do i think that the meaning is for you to give it it's meaning. The meaning is already there, one must just try to find it. You might come across it rather quicky or you might spend your whole life wondering but in the end i think it is worth it because if there is even a small chance that i might be able to find a meaning to this existence i did not ask for i am definetly not giving up.
