Innovation in nuclear energy is so important. It will be the most concentrated and abundant energy source to power our planet and our exploration of our solar system and beyond.
Look up Thorium and Molten Salt Nuclear reactors - they cannot melt down because they are already melted in their natural opperating state. Also, the do not run at high pressure or involve water so there is less (almost no) chance of explosion.
They have only been experimental at this point. But if we invest our top minds and enough capital we can make this an abundant, very safe, and environmentally friendly source of energy to bring our planet into a new era of environmentally friendly prosperity.

I love the electric cars argument. If the electricity used to charge cars comes from the burning of fossil fuels, it doesn t matter if the EV's are not polluting while being driven, as this pollution was already released in some distant power plant. Old EV batteries need years and years of controlled storage until they are safe to dispose and most importantly the heavy industry is still going to continue using fossil fuels. The improvements you get by forcing EV's to the casual consumer are probably jacksh t compared to things like cargo ships, factories etc

What a waste of a video. It's basically propaganda that politicians are pushing, about how we must electrify the industrial civilization to save ourselves from the industrial civilization. No. We need to decrease our consumption. The video should've focused on what the homes in the world consume, and how much energy we can get away with in a transformed farming society that produces slightly more food than we need, and distributes it.

Hey Ted ed!
You are like me in case of questions, only thing is I am a way more lazy.
By the way I have and idea about it, but still, make a video wherein we will discuss what if there was an another number, I mean no. s didn't stopped at 9 but there was atleasr one more no. for eg and then here = 10. I can't explain neatly but I hope u would understand

What I do not understand is: why do people think that electric cars will help. They will not. Because, if you think about it, all the materials that went into the fabrication of fuel, will now go into the fabrication of electricity for all these cars. Which means that you just moved a source of pollution to another one.

The problem with batteries is they require mining and excavation of limited minerals, taking us right back to where we started. Using a limited resource until it is exhausted. In this cade cadmium, cobalt, lead, lithium, and nickel instead of fossil. Not even taking into account the problems of mining in general.

why don't we use hydro power more? in most places there are rivers and most rivers aren't going to stop running any time soon. it sounds like a great way to get power and unlike fusion we have the technology for it already. this is an actual question I have no idea if this would work I'm not a scientist

Quebec in the 90s and Texas last month showed the problem with using electricity for everything, including heat. Better to make geothermal heat a thing (either one system per house, or a local district heating plant (running off of large storage batteries solar or wind power to keep the house(s) warm)

Why did you not include the massive ecological damage required to use, make, and the poor disposal of solar panels, batteries, and Turbines? Pros and cons of each would be a good thing to present, don't you think? Clean energy is great, but to achieve, dispose, and to maintain, is not so great.

The problem with Electricity is as Technology Grows It requires more power and the more power it requires the more dependent it's on Electricity and Due to Our main Power source being Natural Minerals Thus, it's hard to Shift Electricity to Non-conventional sources of energy
