Its ironic to see how these monarchs were objectively better to their subjects than modern politicians are to their fellow citizens and how the idea of the tyrant monarchy is a complete lie, and the only way people deal with that is to cope by being somewhat sarcastic about it or endless doubtful and cynical only to against the monarchs and never against those who oppose them

Interestingly, medieval monarchs would often tour their kingdoms, staying in different villages, towns and castles along the way. They would meet the local people, perhaps bestowing them with gifts and hearing their complaints which they wished to be remedied.
