One of my fellow golfers in my high school girl’s golf team was arguably the sweetest person anyone ever met. I don’t think I ever heard her say a bad word about anyone. Unfortunately, there were some kids who thought that made her a pushover and thus began bullying her. And this was nasty bullying too. They started false rumors about her, made fun of her weight (she was pretty heavy thanks to PCOS) and would destroy her stuff.
She and her parents sent emails to the principal and teachers constantly but other than the cursory We’ll look into it, nothing was done.
After school let out one afternoon, she and I were walking to our lockers (we were locker neighbors) to get our book bags. She was carrying her golf cleats (our coach had gotten them repaired for her and returned them to her) and the bullies decided to start their favorite game of Pick on Her.
She told me afterwards that she didn’t know what happened but she just snapped.
She turned and swung her cleats into his face with all the power and pent up frustration and anger she had.
These cleats were expensive so the leather were much sturdier than your average cleats and the metal spikes in the bottom (to grip the rough terrain) were sharper than normal.
She left a mark on his face as a result.
Our school was a Zero Tolerance school so she got into trouble and was almost expelled. But several students (myself included) came forward and demanded that the bullies be expelled and she kept.
The school finally dropped the matter when the girl’s parents threatened to sue the school board and principal for failing to protect their daughter, citing the various emails they sent.
The bullies left her well enough alone after that.
Violence for its own sake is bad. But when it’s in self defense (including from bullying) I believe it’s justified.

A kid tried to bully me in kindergarten but I invited him to my birthday. According to my mom he wasn't really playing with anyone and asked my mom if I invited him or my mom did. When she told him it was me who did apparently this great look of joy apeard on his face and he started participating in the festivities. No more bullying towards me after that, and he treated me like a friend from then on.

This is one of those true crime cases that stuck with me. Bully (2001) is one of my favorite movies that leaves you feeling empty at the end. I own the book too, also impactful. I wish more true-crime based films like it were made. Marty Puccio deserves his freedom after all this time if the allegations against Bobby Kent were true

A young man in my neighborhood killed himself after relentless bullying at school and on the internet. Bullying is not harmless and something that just happens in schools. Bobby Kent was clearly a dangerous person headed to a life a crime and would probably have ended up in prison himself before long for harming someone else.

Has anyone else noticed that victims who retaliate against bullies or people harming them get punished far more severely than people who willfully cause continuous harm and damage
People who kill in cold blood rarely get life in prison and are often catered to by the justice system.

Anyone remember the name of that horror film when a group of bullied victims take revenge on the bullies It’s Halloween and the bullies thought it was a party but then they’re tied up and literally tortured by the victims. ’ It’s hard to watch because it shows fingers cut off and other graphic torture

I said that to my 9-year son back before the pandemic began, I didn't know he was going to do that to his self-defence instructor.
Good thing they're still doing very well even to this day with their physicality.

It's not that unusual, actually, for bullies to end up on the wrong end of a gun, knife, baseball bat, or whatever.
I wonder what would happen if a bully got an anonymous note warning them to get help before someone they've tormented comes back for revenge

Reminds me of that guy in Missouri; he was such a terror that the whole town got together and offed him.
The feds got involved, and although over a hundred people were present at the killing, there were absolutely zero witnesses.

It's hard to get 4 people to agree on what restaurant to eat at but they got an entire squad to agree to murder someone. There are way too many characters in this fiasco. I'm going to rewatch to make sure I understand who's who.

The game Last Judgment (sequel to Judgment) revolves around a group of people kidnapping and murdering bullies that drove their kids to unaliving. Really good game. (You’re trying to stop them, to be clear)

This reminds me of the time when FB was new, my dad looked up his highschool bully and discovered he'd been eaten by a crocodile. My dad is NOT a vindictive person, but he did smile that day.

Can't say I feel sorry for any bully that meets such a fate. My only issue is how the women got the light sentences while most of the men got life.
