I highly doubt the Germans wouldve won the war without Canada involved, the Uboats werent effective because the allies broke the enigma and due to sonar and radar technologies, also the british fleet didnt escort supplies across the Atlantic anyways, all supplies coming from the US was escorted by the US Navy, so Canada is irrelevant anyways, but best of all the british never lost Newfoundland in this timeline, which was where their Canadian naval base was, so the whole argument doesnt make sense in the first place.

It's an interesting thought experiment on what if the U. S. annexed Canada. As an American, I think the current system worked out best for everyone. Despite some differences, the U. S. and Canada have a pretty good relationship and they work together quite well. Annexing them would have been a pretty poor decision as it would have resulted in a lot of needless deaths. At the end of the day, why annex a country that you have such a good friendship with.

WW1 would of been massively different with the US still not having great relationships with the UK and also possibly wanting to annex Alaska earlier. The US would stay neutral throughout the war or siding with the Central Powers who would be intercepting US trade ships to Germany, they did this during WW1 already but paid the ships enough for the cargo that the US did not view it as piracy, that policy might not exist this time.

The U. S. oppresses the the French speaking population after the Louisiana Purchase in 1803 and French support of the U. S. in the War of Independence in 1776? Would this be same level of oppression and rebellion experienced by the residents of New Orleans?

What if britian wasn't occupied at that time with Napoleonic wars lol america would have ceased to exist. They couldn't defeat a small untrained population of Canada let alone the full might of the british empire without the french and Spanish empire USA would have got anhilated.

What happened to ww1? Why would the Nazis exist in this time line? Domt you think the Germans would side with the central powers or at least stay neutral and let the Europeans destroy each other? I don't think there would be ww2 I'm this time line.

What happens with WW1 would the Americans have entered at all? If they entered would it have been on the allied side or the central powers? If they didn't enter or entered on the side of the central powers why would the nazis have come to power?
