What if the British won the Battle of New Orleans part 2. sneezyserena: If the British had won the Battle of New Orleans, the effects on world history would have been much less dramatic than you imagine. The battle was actually fought after the War of 1812 had been ended by the Treaty of Ghent, which had already been ratified by the British. The treaty, admittedly, had not yet been ratified by the Americans, but only because news took so long in the days of sailing ships to cross the Atlantic. As soon as the treaty was ratified by the Americans it would come into effect, and the British would have had to vacate any territory they occupied in Louisiana. The main effects of a British victory would have been on American rather than world history- it is hard to imagine Jackson becoming President if he was known as the general who had led US forces to an embarrassing defeat.

Wow, kinda ludicrous Pro US bias, your contempt for anything British is unbecoming of a serious historian. They way you describe it its surprising how well us Brits did considering how inept you think we are! Luck I guess. By the way I actually like the way you orate (seriously), it's perfectly listenable and waaaaaay better than a lot of you tubers you find lecturing.

so much wrong with this. the CSA would have had backing from the UK and therefore industrialized fast, the US being the losers would have found their money supply drying up fast. no money? no industrialization. the south would have gone on to conqueror the southern Americas. do a bit of back ground resurch before posting on you tube please mate

2: 28 even if Paris fell the entente still wins. Ottomans are still defeated and Bulgaria would follow. Even if France surrendered Austria would be unlikely to contain an assault through Italy and the Balkans(Karl the 1st wouldn't have had enough time to save Austria)

Why would the allies have rebelled to start WWII? Would the CPs have given the allies the same raw deal Germany felt handed at Versailles? No mention of the central bankers, so we can presume they have sponsored this video.
