What if Atlantis Existed?

Look at it this way. I bet you anything the actual mythical city doesn't exist. We are unlikely to ever find a city named atlantis. However we likely will possibly find the city that inspired the myth and legend.

a continent sinking could happen I guess. it has to do with its geography/topography.
if most of the continent was below sea level, with mountanins, hills, plateaus etc. surrounding it from all sides, just like Finland from our world, then a mssive earthquake that breaks the surrounding highlands could make a crack that lets sea water in, coupled with the fact that massive earthquakes create tsunamis, it would make the flood much faster at destroying the inlands, maybe even leveling some of the highland borders destroying them as well, while having sinkholes here and there would also help with the destruction.
to make the sea levels less affectd, let's say that most of the highlands were sand-based, and their collapse did help rise the sea level while the sinking of the mainland decreased it, and also that most of the land is only few meters belos sea level instead of way too much, this means that it will sink, while having the least effect on sea levels.

Conspiracy theorist here: i'm in no way against you; i respect your opinion that atlantis didn't exist. I also believe in scientific facts. Also, many of the conspiracy theories that i believe are better categorized as fringe theories which i proposed. I am also christian but i'm ok; I mean SERIOUSLY, earth is 6000 years old! If you don't believe in conspiracy theories, i'm ok with you. However, i'm here to address a problem: many non-conspiracy theorists criticize conspiracy theories even though they are unfamiliar with the subject. It's the same excuse used in the gamergate event: the media criticizes gamers even though they are unfamiliar with video games. If the media does that, it's a global backlash; if non-conspiracy theorists do it, it's ok. Please informate yourself about the specific theory before you criticize it.

While Atlantis is almost surely a myth and some snob is gonna just quadruple remind me, Bright Insight has an interesting theory I don't think many have considered.
Yes, it's undoubtedly still a very big conspiracy, but I think it's an interesting thought experiment. Plus, pretty much no real expeditions or excavations have happened at the Richat, a structure that just so happens to fit the description and just so happens to be West of the pillars of Hercules, but isn't underwater.

It is as big as Lybia and Anatolia
It is outside of Gibraltar
The blacks in Egypt could be seen as the remainder of the occupation of West Africans(this could also be true for other parts)

The atlas mountains are above a region with an area that seems artificially made and has had water erosion. The structure also resembles a structure that plato referenced. There isnt any genetic evidence that Europeans made it to the Americas 25KYA. The solutrian hypothesis is nothing more than a false assumption. You COULD argue that tools that may be dated back to then had some similarities to tools from back then, but it could also be argued that its just a coincidence, that humans in the Americas used similar techniques that paralleled one type of many knapping techniques.

History only goes back as far as when the Sumerians invented cuneiform writing. anything that happened before that we can only make guesses about it. We don't know if ATLANTIS really existed. However we don't know for sure Atlantis did not exist either.

Good video, but I feel that you have woefully underestimated early human seagoing capabilities when there is evidence that humans crossed the Mediterranean about 100, 00 years ago and to Australia at least 50, 000 years ago. So frequent travel to and from Atlantis from Africa, England and Spain or to North and South America would be common
