What if the Soviets conquered Poland in 1920?

The Soviets would've annexed all of Poland with the exception of Danzig (goes to Germany. Finland would've been crushed by the communist revolution there and socialist revolutions would've been successful in Hungary and other central European countries. Borders would look very weird. Eventually WW2 would happen sometime in the 1930's or 40's. But of course, this is all just my opinion.

I mean, one of the premises, that the Soviet Union wanted to create one socialist superstate is wrong. Lenin, unlike for example Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht (Important german socialists/marxists, was an proponent of the theory of national self-determination. He believed nations with their own struggle towards socialism should be helped to achieve it, but to outright force it onto them was bad. So yeah, everything in this video falls apart with this very easily googable fact.

Hitler admired how Pilsudski beat the Soviets so much that he attended his funeral when Pilsudski died in the mid 1930's. Prior to that, Germany and Poland had a non-aggression pact for several years when Pilsudski was in command, and both countries had relatively cordial relations with each other, despite ethnic tension in the regions that Poland annexed from Germany under the Versailles treaty where millions of Germans still lived.

I extremely disagree with everything after the Polish collapse, first of all, the conquer of Poland would give power for Trotsky due to his victory, second, Germany was in the border of collapse by the 1920s, in 1920, the Ruhr Red Army made of 60, 000 men would break down Germany's extremely weak army, Soviet intervention by this time would vanish Weimar Republic from existence.

You are talking about modern Polish state which rebirth was 1918, Polish nation wasn't 2 years old in 1920, it had its own territory, state and kings since X century, only to lose independence in 1795 for 123 years, information in this video is not accurate, this may give impression to some viewers that it has never existed before, from 1918 it is the 2nd Republic, overall interesting video, well done

What a neat chain of causes and effects. Except in the real world there's always a huge number of factors and unknowns at play, which makes this kind of definitive prediction of 'what would happen' impossible. Unexpected results always happen, leaders have imperfect information and make irrational decisions.

This fits in with my model of the fall of the USSR taking place at the end of one 12-year-cycle or another.
If not in 1992, then in Poland in 1980.
If not then, then in Czechoslovakia in 1968.
If not then, then in Hungary in 1956.
If not then, then in Warsaw in 1944.

I don't think the Great 4 (USA, Britain, France & Italy) would have allowed Germany to override the Versailles treaty signed the year before and permit it to occupy Poland! France and Italy were strongly pro-Polish independence and the USA would have wanted it too.

Mate you are amazing, i love your work. But you are getting so many things wrong. The soviet economy was able to exponentially grow because of the removal of kulaks, collectivisation and government monopoly. That is a historical fact which angers pro-capitalists.

Pretty unrealistic you must have forgotten that 20's were much more different than 40'. France and UK wouldn't allow German (especially democratic German puppetlike state) to just take Poland because fight communism
