I think a large part of why wokeness as a social phenomenon came to be is the constraints America started to realise it had as it grew dependent on exporting jobs, pollution and growth to the world without while importing products associated with no visible social costs as also no direct consequences for American society within (as in the jobs and social context and culture made by such jobs had disappeared abroad; also, the immorality of exploitation did not end, it just vanished to foreign shores while making it seem like America had created a just society within. In that I think you really have hit upon something crucial when you say it stems from the emptiness of the American utopia that was the post-collapse-of-the-Soviet Union, unipolar American hegemony we have seen over the last thirty years. However the quintessential American Dream still stems from the industrial America that dominated the world in the Cold War, in that the social compact between government and the people (the latter in forms of religion, community and family) has been lost completely in this three decade long period. Batshit cult like Christians control the religious narrative, while the so called 'liberals' have control of community and family in its interaction with the state in the narrative at least. But the narrative is slowly being lost by the corporate managers that you speak of as the vast bulk of Americans, at least that's my belief from observing America on a more granular level, still lies outside that control that the managers thought they have or had. And in that I believe the frontier as an intellectual, spiritual and material pursuit in American life has played an overwhelming part in keeping them free even though in its apparent and immediate forms it seems no different from mob behaviour at times. A shared belief in the innate freedom of the individual, which stems from that frontier concept is what is most likely the driving force behind it. As to how it will play out in the longer run, I really have no clue.

I do believe that thetechnocratic order of the Sillicon Valley is a form of totalitarian worldview, you see, most people working in the IT fields are those with high IQ, that is, they are able to work through technical problems with ease, but because they oonly know the hammer of technical knowledge and aptitude, everything seems to be a technical nail to be hammered down.
People become variables, parameters passed to functions, input and deterministic output, they are afraid of Undefined Behavior in their formal languages, but do nto understand that life itself is one big UB.
As such, they begin believing themselves to be the wielders of a sort of sacred knowledge, like a priestly class of enlightened individuals who are able to think through and solve all problems through this rationalistic lens.
Everything becomes functions, variables, constants, design patterns, functional patterns.
Even fi this is not a merely authoritharian, it IS a totalizing worldview, they want algorcracies, governance of algorithms to regulate human behavior detemrinistically.

I had all these same thoughts (influenced by the Anarchists Cookbook) as a very young man, 12 think. Hypocrisy makes me go nuts in my head, its the one take away from Christianity, well, and the Golden Rule.
My grandfather was a Lutheran Minister. his father was one from Weibelsgurken Germany. Left before WW1, I have all their letters, school notes and spent a couple years translating it all from German, classic education is vastly different from todays education. Having a literal glimpse into the past from your own family keeps State action always in the front of my mind. Its easy to come to these conclusions with this personal history that truthfully belongs to everyone.
I find myself frustrated that less and less people care, all they want is the next tiktok trend. Same as reality tv in the late 90s.
An uneducated population. bread and circus, gladiatorial sports ball.
And Governments run their games.
You argue French Revolution vs American, one was far far worse than the other. Well argued.

Well, if you want to blame anybody for our huge government today, I would go back and blame universal suffrage. Everybody votes, whether your bum in the street you vote whether your billionaire you still get one vote. People on government subsidies vote. So consequently, now everybody thinks in terms of Being a voting citizen I am entitled to my piece of the pie. Whether you helped bake the pie or not whether you did so much and probably baked a third of a pie someone like an Elon Musk.
This is the major flaw in a democratic system. Once people realize they can vote themselves money they can do bankrupt the country. The majority of people who are uninformed lazy voters who don’t pay attention to the issues don’t know what the constitution says, aren’t very productive in life and do not make very good personal decisions, they are easily manipulated by politicians, and the politicians grow and grow government to have more power is facilitated by all these useful idiots

That’s all fine and good, But the US is a corrupt oligarchy.
It doesn’t matter what type of society you have, not what style government, nor free market economy none of this matters when any part of the power structure is corrupt.
The problem with power being, that it corrupts. As soon as people agree that they need to be governed, they’ve already lost. We need to go away with authority. This includes corporate hierarchies as well. That’s the solution, anarchy. We don’t need managers or governors, we do not need a justice system which only harasses those with the least impact on society and props up those who do the most damage. We do not need leaders who find it appropriate to solve disputes through mass murder and genocide. We do not need to have a minimum of 25% of our income go to. What exactly!
We’re told we’re animals in need of Shepard. When, those who find themselves to be suitable Shepards, are really the ones who need to be reigned in.

you can argue better we have a religious totalitarianisms over woke cuz wokeness you haven't defined and its limited in power we have more built in racism power in our system then wokeness most of the he-steria around wokeness is the catch all of I feel rage the person I consider to be woke are not like me and we see anti-wokeness holds more power then wokeness at the moment cuz the anti-woke people are the ones rewiring and reconstructing the whole economy against the strawmen and boogieman of wokeness bad. Also mate suppression has been in effect for a good few thousand years see how men crafted a narrative of women were home bound slaves who lovingly wanted to stay home and be traditional thats mate suppression he and laws and customs suppressed her and your idea of traditional stability for him was oppressive familiarity & binding for her.

i live in a democracy and though im an exception, the fact that i constantly have bad experiences with the system, treated poorly to say the least tells me democracy is not just unequal but totally predatory, the thing is they can get away with it because nobody will believe you unless they have also experiences this inequality, and even then many will just ignore it knowing that theyl get punished if they agree with the truth, beaten down for looking like you even have a brain and beaten more because they know you know theyr corrupt, litteraly beaten up, stripped, starved, overedosed, dragged half dead from the hospital and dumped on the side of the road to die because taking me would make the system look bad for almost killing you, so theyd rather you just litteraly die on the side of the road to keep their false front up

I moved from the US to what Americans consider a 3rd World country with an authoritarian government, yet I experience more freedom here than in the US. I felt it, I saw it, but I couldn't explain it. Thank you Rupert, for putting the missing pieces in place. I now understand completely that it was the totalitarian nature of the US culture that was oppressive to me.
DEI was the final straw for me in the US, after having seen and experienced 40 years of increasing condemnation and vilification of straight, white men. When one of the VPs of the company for which I worked, told all white men in a meeting to stand up and confess their racism and misogyny. and then apologize to all those in the room they had marginalized. I told them to go pound sand and quit. I decided to quit the entire culture. It was a good move for me.

So heres the greatest argument against this videos premise. In order for a society to be totalitarian it has to oppress the masses. The masses before widespread knowledge of writing, have a hard time getting their history told. The oppressed masses have an even less likelihood to get their story told. So the echos of history are from atop the mound to start with. Then comes moral relativism. If I told you there was a 1700% increase in murders in sweeden youd say its horrible. If I said there were 17 murders youd say its pretty good. People who live under totalitarianism not only arent going to think the totalitarianism is that bad, they also wont be able to tell their story.

I've found woke people were some of the most selfish people I've ever met. 10 years ago, I was ran over by a drunk driver and lost most of my sight. I had to move from my small hometown to the city to be trained and use public transportation and I got a job where all my coworkers were liberal. I never cared about politics, but I got in trouble with them saying disabled people have it harder than trans people and got yelled at. I just found it insulting that a minority about the same size of the number of blind poeple in this country get less attention and less opportunities. I had to leave that city. They seem so toxic.

How you can say trump isn’t a totalitarian, and then 13: 30 describe trumpism I don’t understand where the disconnect is for you.
1. State interferes with the family.
- the maggats have been clear that they want to force women to go through pregnancy.
- some have talked about repealing gay marriage rights
- their anti trans campaign affects families
2. State interferes with religion
- seems pretty clear their objective is to maintain Christianity as the dominant religion.
3. State controls the economy
- excessive use of tariffs
- picking winners and losers based on loyalty to trump

Oddly enough, the only sure fire way to fix everything is with a full reset -
Society will eventually have to collapse and begin again almost from tribes/clans - small groups of people living in self contained/self sustained societies where the rules represent the will of the people. Of course this will eventually lead to building new empires through conquering and it all starts all over again. But I ask you, isn't this our nature Isn't this who we are Mankind has been engaged in an endless game of 'King of the Hill' since we began to walk upright. So what choice do we have.

I'm not super familiar with the Monarchy vs Democracy debate. I would suggest to the pro Monarchy people to be careful and consider the fact that the Monarchs of old didn't have the money printer, which I see as the combination of fractional reserve banking, central banking, and sovereign bonds. I'm not saying that as a counter argument. Just something for the pro monarchy people to be vigilant of when making their case. It's also possible that I'm just ignorant on this and they already have measures in place.

I openly laughed when you said that we have a free market, freedom of religion, and freedom of speech. That is hilarious. We have a bastardized shadow version of all three. Want to know how I know this Try to open a bakery in a major urban area that refuses to bake gay wedding cakes on religious grounds and see how far you get. Even if you manage to navigate the various bureaucracies to get the place open, you will be sued into oblivion soon after by various civic groups.

Wokeness stems from so social justice and was propagated by the United Nations to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The institutions and managerial beurocrats are for o g this down through society. Migration is a UN agenda. The UN uses Social, Emotional and Learning Programs to destroy the individual cultures. This is done with its partners and stakeholders like the Club of Rome, World Economic Forum and it's partners and stakeholders.

I watched the whole thing. It seems we do not have counter systems to these ideological philosophies. I think we would have to take every variable of what negatively makes up these oppressive systems and ideologies and develop positive systems which reinforce positive behaviors and positive ideological directions. This would be my solution to discouraging or lessoning the influences of these opressive systems and ideologies. Absolutely great video.

That practical freedom you mentioned was also the first thing I noticed in Thailand. You can do more or less whatever you want, as long as you dont harm another person directly.
In Germany, the nanny-state is even worse in America. You wouldn't believe the level of paperwork it takes to register a car. In TH or MX you dont need any paperwork for that. The only things you need to drive a car, are a car and gasoline.

You make an interesting point on how democracy requires property ownership to work. It comes back to people needing something tying them to where they live. People these days can't afford to buy homes, they don't have religion, and they don't have families. They have nothing tying them to the local community, or even to the place they inhabit. It's easy to cheer while everything burns around you when you have no stake.

Thousands of years the species believed primitive tribal caveman beliefs, so as a whole, considering the time spent, those must be the correct beliefs for humanity, and the 20th century of science and modern day beliefs. was a total aberration. Um, not.
We do live in a totalitarian society, but that is a fault of sta tism and the populations bra in washed support of it, not modern thinking.
