Working for the man can be Hell! Hell Hole by Gregory Shultz Connect with the Filmmaker: Hell Hole that remote control truck was so fake. shots had no driver. haha and one has a dummy in it for some reason. the physics didnt look right for it to be a real truck. But resourceful, it was. the actor. hehe Seeing the monster always ruins it unless the monster is totally badass looking and scary as. uh, hell.

Love that we can have a new film, yet it be stylized like 80s horror/sci-fi. Stop action films are always the memorable ones, I think the uniqueness and technical approach to this is fascinating for viewers. Story was funny, yet makes you curious, and definitely wanting more. Amazing work!

Thank the lord we have Mason on the job, he doesn't complain much & like most workers he gets little to nothing done but he has one nice ride & that FORD isn't a fix or repair daily. Nothing to worries about here, mason has it all covered. LOL! This was fun.

This was so much fun to watch. I kept getting old school Dr Who, Thunderbirds, Godzilla, and 2000AD vibes. The Dr Strangelove reference was excellent. I am watching it again, to see how many other references I missed: )

Dude I got some serious nostalgia for 70s and 80s monster movies from this, obviously using an rc car was hilarious and the transition scenes were well done. Kinda felt like if they made an Ernest goes to hell movie.

At today's energy prices, they would have been better off to tap the heat of the hell hole and use it to power some never failing generators! : -) Terawatts of energy from infernal waste heat.
reply

OK I know they've gone for a tongue-in-cheek retro vibe, but the film just wasn't engaging. I guess it was to show off their miniature set building skills more than anything.

It's a universal law that EVERY Sci-Fi movie or film whatever, MUST have steam in it somewhere, especially if its a spaceship 'cause we all know they run on steam

POV: Sam Rockwell replaces Charles Bronson to star in a 1983 B-Rated made for TV action movie that you picked up in 85 on VHS in a K-Mart electronics bargain bin.

I really didn’t like this dudes acting. I get the whole 80’s cheesy vibe but I don’t think the actor gave the character justice. Otherwise amazing as always!
reply

Considering I'm so accustomed to seeing high-end CGI in everything these days, it was fantastic to see some quality old-school miniature effects once again! Bravo!

Yeah that drawing was reference to slim Pickens he in up on some sort of bomb, it was released and dropped and he was riding it and he's said yeeeeha.

Unfortunately there are those in the workforce that dumb. More concerning is that the universities are the ones pumping out the majority of them.

As of 6: 46 I saw this before. Very clever. Is it miniatures, CGI, or both This was good. Good DUST movies are about 1 in 10 or 20

Bad acting, overacting, clown wig, poor quality of the models, especially the truck, dedicate yourself to something else.

reply

OH HELL YEAH! whoever did your model\rc build and control deserves a medal! Nailed the feel of late 70s early 80s film
reply

Hysterical! Excellent iteration of the fool and the Devil folk tales. REALLY appreciated the Doctor Strangelove reference!
reply

I like this in a different context from Dust films. But for a Dust short film, this was terrible! Cheesy and cringeworthy
reply

ah that 90s vibe. not sure how I feel about this though, the direction it takes is just kinda. all over the place.

If you need a maintenance guy for the facility where the devil himself is being contained, avoid the name Manson.
reply

This looks like it was made in Blender. From the car to the monster, everything was done in Blender!
reply

The guy was so well made, thought he was real for a min, but why so little effort on the monster
reply

The detail work on that miniature Bronco was incredible. Hats off to the model modelers in this vid.

What BS short movie is this. how can anyone prodyce so bad story with worst actors ever
reply

Terrible acting, unrealistic setting, bad story. Still 1000x better than the SPAWN movie
reply

Excellent! Great RC truck there. Guys like Mason keep B movies watchable. Do you copy
reply

I really liked this one hope to see more like it. This could be made into a movie
reply

The quality of miniature sets was as high a level as Mason’s acting was low.
reply

Great throwback to my younger days.
Movies like this are wholesome great work guys.

Who would have thought 27mhz short wave radio communications worked underground
reply

Looks like some sort of thunderbirds shit when it comes to his jeep and tunnel
reply

Love this short. It's got that late 70s, early 80s feel that I remember so well.
reply

Bad acting, bad special effects and no story. It's so cringe I love it: )
reply

The RC jeep is HILARIOUS! But, OMG this dude is the worst actor EVER
reply
