I'm going to address this at some length because it's been bugging the hell out of me. It's a weird grammar N4z1 issue, but I've been hearing it on loads of TV shows and movies lately. Now it's begun to crop up in my own country where we still use British English and I can only imagine it's because people are profoundly influenced - often to negative effect - by the content they're exposed to.
Things don't differ than other things. Things differ FROM other things. To say that something is different than something else could only make sense in a sentence if one were to add the word more before than so for example, some things differ more than other things. But things can't simply be different than other things. It's a small thing, but if one is aware of the absurdity of it and feels any sense of pride when it comes to the basics of the English language, and those people weren't bothered by it before, from now on, just you wait and see.
I'm sorry it had to be this platform upon which I had to rant this little rant of mine, but writers, storytellers, you are the myth makers of our age. You are all incredibly important people. The substance of tomorrow's Humanity will be judged according to the quality and clarity of today's art, and of all art forms, writing is the most revealing.
Let's take back the correct way of declaring things different when compared with others. For the sake of the impression of ourselves we leave behind for people with interactive holographic streaming units, but still have an treasure an old PC emulator somewhere that plays back content from today.
Now that's out of the way, that really was a cool film. The atmosphere was suspenseful and the costume and special effects were very cool. I'm not altogether sure what the skull-helmet guy was up to or why breathing was such an issue, but how much plot can one stuff into six screen minutes It was cool. It's a bit of a shame my big takeaway was an apparently increasingly popular mistake in our use of language, but hopefully we can start a movement to correct it. correct way of doing things travel just as fast via the internet as blunders. We can without any doubt fix this one little preposition issue, probably faster than it began to gain traction in our linguistic culture.

So looks like a bunch of people aren't getting the story. shame. I loved it either way. I took from it that the setting is in a place that air flow is limited or non existent, so our main character is searching for a place to park and rest up for a while.
While looking around he finds a place that isn't what he expects with weird foreign creatures that wake up and attack him, upon leaving he is running out of air (like he did in the first tunnel/temple) this time withought his vehicles assistance to rejuvenate him.
Running out of time his suit seemingly is powered/aided by his vehicle it shuts down again. But right before he thinks this is the end, it turns out. this is a parking spot (a place he can rest up and breath for a while.
[[. what was so hard about that I guess as someone who writes and works in film and media I have a better understanding then your average Joe who always has to have things clearly planned out for him/her so they can follow along with no clear use or strain on their stunted imaginations]]

I learned today that the Uncanny Valley can extend to body motion/animation. My subconscious was screeching 'not us! OTHER! REEEEEE! ' the whole time. :)
As for what it is about- my guess: archaeology team, investigating a drone swarming world. Trying to figure out what happened to the atmosphere. Turns out the life support is rationed out by the remnant machinery. Someone qualified for a trial 2 year plan. The sphere drones chasing him were trying to contact him about his extended vehicle warranty. those little jerks are persistent, but not hostile; even long after The End.

VISUALS: Gets an A
PLOT: Gets a D
DIALOG: Gets an F
(This is an example of the cart before the horse. It's as if the Graphics department put together all the elements; the backgrounds, the main characters, lighting. and when it was time to animate them for a purpose, the rest of the team failed. Even the soundtrack is disjointed and doesn't fit. Come on guys! This could have been so cool. But it's just not believable as a story or plausible with the main character acting in nonsensical ways. Like a child playing with a doll)

Ok so here's what I think: It's set in a dystopian future where the air is highly polluted so in order to stay alive, the people go around searching for these life support machines sort of like being put to sleep for a limited amount of time (the one he finds is a 2yr limit) just so he can keep on living, except he's really not living his life, but merely surviving. When the life support time limit is up, it wakes him up and he has to continue searching for another or else he will die. This is just how I took it.

Yeah, there's a lot of context missing, but it also doesn't try to shove a bunch of characters and lore building in a sub-10 minute short. It's just one piece, a snippet: it's not meant to be a full story, only one chapter. Our entire lives we only get pieces of full stories, and outside of films it's rare that we see something beginning-to-end.
I appreciate that type of presentation, and I also like this aesthetic. (Although I'll agree it shouldn't be called a short film, just a short)

I hate when you have solid visuals, great characters, a beginning for a great story and yet. your story line fail short. It's amazing how many animations dont have a visual/story COMBO which destroys the whole idea behind its creation in the first place. Just because one has a new set of knives and cookware doesn't mean one knows how to cook. This animation lacks story line. its confusing!

Science Fiction Yes. Congrats DUST, your film selection committee doesn't always get this right. The storyline had my interest right from the start, it didn't go anywhere but the surprise twist at the end left me somehow. satisfied. Custom props include a cool helmet and my favorite winter coat. But it works. It's a good flick! Really, it is. Still, I would like that coat back.

This reminds me of the movie sphere where they find a candy bar wrap inside the ship at the end giving us hint of the involvement of human civilization. a bit abstract for my taste but overall good job. Just remember that even 6 min shorts need to feel like a 2 hr movie when beginning, middle and end are told correctly and in a satisfying way. Kudos!

Life Support may be a scene cut out from a full length movie. In this scene our protagonist finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time and thinks going below is safer. There he meets more enemies who force him on the other side of some room where he finds a life support thingy to help him breath and continue his mission later.

On a technical note, after he landed in the cave, his feet did not match up with the ground very well. I noticed the slight shifting in one or two other cave scenes too. Best to dial-in that synchronizing software better. I loved the focus, sound, and a few creative aspects. Best of luck.

Poignant short, but a slightly longer short to add some context would be much appreciated. I checked out the Insta and I like the reference to 'Mother Nature'. Me thinks there is a whole universe worth of ideas within, and I wait with 'bated breath. Basically keep up the good work.

I wish I could say something more about this movie short other than that it had great special effects and animation but it certainly would have been a good idea to have something to explain what's going on or what it's all about.

Great production values - top rate! the main guy has that creepy head gear the crazy walk ( he's on wire but so good just looks like weird walk) and the ancient ruins. Really the CGI is seamless

I grew up on classic sci fi short stories. Works of art in short form. This dross is not exactly Cold Equations
Just having access to cgi doesn’t mean anything you put on film is valid.

Some amazing concepts and visuals here. Reminded me of a sci-fi feature called Prospect. The best sci-fi for me has more character and emotion though.

Not unlike 'Borderlands 3' where you have to get to areas where oxygen is available or your life-support starts dropping.
