Join us Sunday at 7pm PST for a live chat extravaganza as we watch two full series - DR0NE and Automata on Sunday Night DUST this DRONE movie is about even if you make the rules, if you break them, youll face the consequences.
the civilian may have deserved to die (if you believe the professional liar) but the civilised way was to try him in court with actual evidences not a simple I decided he deserved to die so I have the right to have him killed, youll just have to take me on my words after the fact;
the moment the civilian was murdered was the end of any moral high ground to stand on and so their killers deserved the fate they got - live by the sword.
about the end of the movie: both sides now will send murderbots without prime directives. And when the other sides send theirs to your cities, who will complain about human rights then, the very ones who spat on them hahaha I hope 237 will share his reprogramming on the entire assembly line of bots: p
Weve already seen this situation: its like using nukes on civilians then pushing laws to prevent their use the second someone else can use them on you.
friggin hypocrites

Good! The drone didn’t murder. It has a lot more sense. And now we have humans committing murder and calling it war. Makes me sick! This is why I despise the military. That’s all they do. Hurt others and justify it. That man doesn’t deserve the title of daddy. Trying to destroy a drone with more humanity in certain ways than those soldiers. I’m all for the drone. I don’t care what that man did. He was unarmed. Even in war there are rules. So now we reprogram the drone for refusing to be mindless killing machine and thank goodness for overriding reprogramming.

The first one was okay, reminiscent of the movie. I, Robot. But the second one. Automata. was incredible. WOW. what a top notch production; great writing, great acting by everyone; so good that I couldn't tell that they were acting. totally believable! And a very interesting setting: what was it. 1929 . with what little technology there was back then but somehow had the know-how to build robots with almost. maybe even fully sentient brains. brilliant!

Do you know what I love, is this video is from three years ago. If this was now it might be fine because the two actors are amazing. They’re both well-established actors now but because they were Asian and black and it’s sci-fi no one gave them a serious moment. I wonder how this video if it was released today to promote a movie with two prominent actors how it would do.

There always has been more talent outside of Hollywood than there ever was inside Hollywood. No more monopoly on film making. Many of these short story movies can and should become full length movies. The movie industry has taken a turn for change, in a positive way. Hollywood should be eliminated and let the people with honest talent shine and get their credit.

Did you know the US shot a van with reporters documenting our war crimes, they were even American. They did this with an attack chopper and everyone was very proud. That's ones of the thousands of things WikiLeaks gave us, we are just too weak to do anything about it. We should all just die. why must we all be evil. or at least complacent about it

How novel Automata is in it’s time frame. I like these automatons in this story. I like everything about this unique story. I like Lenny. He’s a snitch to remember. Well done! Automata is my favorite Dust so far. What a twist to the story. Wow! I liked Carl and David. What a great episode! Loved it! Kudos to the writer, cast and crew!

Are these shows made more specifically to a group of beings
I'm just watching these now and they are lining up with some conspiracies out there. Truth has always been hidden in entertainment.
This reminds me alot of Horizon the PS4 game part II out now too.

That was phenomenal, gents. One of the best Sci-fi shorts ever encountered. except that, at the end, God showed me the greatest flick ever (yet to manfest. So, this is Tribute.

Absolutely AMAZING! Although I appreciate movies no matter how wild, I do have ONE question. If they can build ROBOTS, why are they still driving Model T's Hmmmm.
reply

Any culture capable of AI robotics wouldn't insist on using the early 20th century technology like wind-up Victrolas and 1920s automobiles found in this program.

What a great first 35 minutes! Very impressive, with very good acting by all part of it! That was a great show! Good job all involved! Great production!
reply

Oh no! I'm in 2023 and the humanoid drones will soon be here! Someone from 2024 please let me know if they happen or not so I don't have to worry

Those coordinates the robot is given (34. 042419 -118. 212891) is for Breed Street Elementary School in L. A. Right underneath a huge tree.

Two quality offerings. Great storytelling and excellent casts in both films. Nice one. Automata has a nice twist after the credits too

A more accurate ending to DR0NE would have been, So what if that man was a civilian Everyone dies in wars except the rich who start them.

Dust was great, but it now has succumbed to the woke disease, will now be unsubscribing as it as bad as a TV furniture advert. Real shame.
reply

AND Thanks for NOT interrupting with commercials constantly! If I had to choose the right amount of commercials, this might be it.
reply

Dust has been providing exhilarating sci-fi content for many years now. I do hope these talented actors and directors make it big.

Hands up or the next sound you hear ain't gonna be jazz. Love that!
A great pair of stories and who doesn't love Lance Reddick.

The last scene was way too predictable. However the way the Droid turned the culprit over to the human authorities wasn't.
reply

Way better than anything coming out of Hollywood. Great writing, good score, the director was top, and the actors all A list.
reply

So was that blood or 90wt. on the floor. I expected the face mask to come off and some withered half human, half machine be there!
reply

The detective episode was really great! Nice to see a fully fledged concept played out for a full length episode.

When you make sci-fi ALLLLLLLWAYYYYS jump 100 years forward! Not just 4 years. but ok. love the video’s from dust.

The Asain guy is Linn from Sons of Anarchy

loved the setting of 1920's prohibition, and the juxtaposition of high technology, good fun to watch

It would have been nice of you to list that this is the full Drone & Automata series in the title.

The Penny Arcade comic was great, and this turned out better than it has any right to be.
reply

For a 1940's gumshoe Carl was an OK guy. Terrific stories, both of them. Thanks Dust!

Great show! Loved Automata. Good old British crime tradition in new costumes! Good job!
