Only two guns that were ever decent in the entire halo franchise was the OP Magnum from Halo 1 and the Sniper Rifle.
To me though, I hate the shockrifle from UT, mainly because it is a weapon that is hopelessly unbalanced beyond words. Semi-auto, more like a slow-ish full-auto, hitscan primary that out ranges sniper rifles, splash damage when the secondary fire projectile was hit with the primary fire beam, and just to add insult to injury, both primary and secondary fire has ridiculous knock-back on top, the worst balanced weapon in the game. Can work in close, mid and long range. In essence does the job of at least three different weapons in one, absolute garbage. And the skill to use it isn't enough to justify everything the weapon can do.
Only thing slightly more annoying than that weapon is the generic Link Gun that fired slow as hell plasma rounds and secondary fire having a constant beam that Epic decided to add in place of the much more unique Razorjack that fired bouncing spinning blade projectiles.

So many good picks in here in terms of being accurate.
I think the FarSight in OG Perfect Dark was probably the most powerful buzzkill in terms of playing with your friends in multiplayer. Everyone gets mad if you're looking at their screen in split-screen, but if someone has the FarSight, well, they have wallhack now, and can fire it from almost anywhere. It truly was the most frustrating one.
Although I do remember running Doom 3 on 640x480 and loving it. I also remember picking up the shotgun once, and then almost immediately discarding it for a different weapon, or the other one I was using, because I would get my first opportunity to try it on enemies and once I saw the results (or lack thereof, then I never used it since. Doom 3 in terms of level design, was nice. The shotgun Idk what they were thinking.

Learning to control the recoil in DOOM's pistol is essential to starting and beating levels with pistol start only, with it taking the same ammo slot as the chaingun - I. E. every first shot of the pistol goes where you are aiming, holding down the trigger makes it spread - but damage per shot is similar to the shotgun - There was real game design going on their even with the constraints of the day. One of the best, most underrated pistols in gaming history - you just gotta know how to use the tools you're given. PS. You can one-shot most things in DOOM 3 with the shotgun, but you have to time it to be point-blank, bait their attacks - as you say. But that is by design. Other Doom shotguns are best in class though and how shotguns in other games should be

Every single clip very clearly shows people who apparently can't aim a gun. I can't aim guns in real life well enough to save my own hide, which is weird because we hear plenty of stories about how aim skill in video games supposedly translates to aim skill real life. Huh. It's like video games are supposed to be just for fun. However, my ability to aim in games is far better than this hot mess and I know/admit when I'm off my game. These game journalists need to slow down/freeze frame their own videos and note that they can't shoot worth diddly squat because they can't seem to aim the reticle in the correct direction.

Take note: the reason the supressor is so useless it's because it was insanely overpowered, it was stronger than the LMG, easy to get, less bullet spread, 343i made major changes that affected the overall gameplay, instead of making changes exclusively to matchmaking's sandbox, they did it to both campaign and online. A lot of weapons were stronger, i remember because when the game launched, my friends and i used the suppressor with the forerunner pistol for legendary because it was one of the strongest combos aside of the dmr/plasma pistol.

Destiny 2, Prometheus Lens, when it just came out was so broken, killing opponents in PvP at any range in half a second, easily half of any other weapon TTK, so jf you didn't have it - don't show up in PvP. It remained as such for months until I think it was just disabled and eventually fixed.
Similar situation happened with Vex Mythoclast and a few other guns, but to me it was most memorable, as it was introduced with one of the very first DLC for Destiny 2, that is now gone.

Most people used the Pulse Grenade incorrectly. It was for cutting off a fleeing enemy. You’d throw it behind them as they’re backing up or in from of them as they’re retreating.
Think of it like this, the Frag Grenade is for initiating combat right You toss it out it kills their shield and you clean up.
The Pulse grenade is the opposite. You wear down their shield with your weapon and toss the nade out to cleanup if they try to run.

Great video. Only one I'll always disagree with people on, is the flamethrower in the original 2009 Dead Space. From Chapter 7 onwards, if you have used even just 15 of the 25 possible nodes at the bench, it is super effective at slowing down and killing multiple enemies at once. Obviously the plasma cutter is king though. The Ripper and Force Gun are excellent if you just want to be a comedic psychopath for a while.

Wait what I admit I'm not a mega pro, but I actually liked the Suppressor in Halo 4, and had no trouble getting rounds on target. It wasn't long range, I will grant that, but at the intended medium range, it worked just fine. The Lightgun was also just fine. Though I agree on the Prothian grenade. Not much use for that thing.
Just me Eh, oh well. I get to be that guy for this one.

The Doom 3 shotgun is perfectly serviceable. The video of the gameplay here though shows someone with TERRIBLE aim, he seems to be using a joystick He always aims sideways to the actual target, it's not the fault of the shotgun! I've beaten Doom 3 BFG (including all DLCs) in pancake mod and VR mode and I never noticed any issue with the shotgun.

All of the Promethean weapons in Halo 4 were utterly terrible. They did little to no damage against enemies that were already bullet-sponges. Made even worse by the fact that all of the other weapons in the game were forcibly absent from huge chunks of the game, so you'd run out of ammo for them and then be forced to use Promethean weapons.

I’m surprised the Model 1887’s from the original MW2 weren’t mentioned, those things broke the game so bad for a while and had to be nerfed into the ground, they were WAY stronger than the broadside was imo, dual shotgun pistols that you could literally snipe people across the map with better accuracy than actual snipers could

kinda sad the Executioner from the Call of Duty Series isn't in here, granted i only saw it in Multiplayer. If you don't know what it is, imagine a pistol, that uses a shotgun shell, a single shell. that also requires you to get into point blank melee range even in hardcore mode. it was a pain in the ass to prestige that damn gun.

Correction to the flamethrower on Dead Space 1 - remember that the spaceship is a mining cracker type of ship and in one of the missions we actually have to activate beacons on an asteroid that was brought in the ship. So the flamethrower can be used on the ice of the asteroid while it is being held within the ships atmosphere

I mean I never played halo seemed boring to me but no Front if you like it you like it Im kinda jealous actually Id like to like it but Yeah in case of that weapon it probably aint that bad if you are a good player you are usually able to still effectively use guns that arent as powerfull as others

Snipe from ten meters with a shotgun Shotguns dont spread as much as you think home slice. Depends on the gun, load, and projectile but buckshot can travel over 20 yards and still be a relatively tight group. Sounds like cod finally decided to make something realistic even though they're trash now

u say the supressor and magnum from halo are bad, the supressor was the last gun that got me through a checkpoint in legendary after all ammo ran out, the magnum is essential cuz u can plasma shot and then one shot an elite in a second. why do u guys talk halo if u dont know NUTS about it.

11: 41. Maybe I'm a masochist but whenever I played Doom 3, my only weapons i would use were the flashlight (melee) the shotgun, and the chainsaw. I was always just cautious about burning through the ammo of the other guns that I would only use those three for the whole game lol.
