Not defending good graphics and soulless games but most of those games look good and most of them are which can justify how the look like(or the choice of the engine o the art style. Nowadays games don’t have good graphics just because they want to but it kinda like the basic starter pack for making games just because of how better the technology got. I play games for gameplay but I’m not against good looking and good gameplay.

Kind of funny that the most fun i had with games in the past years (except some games like Elden ring ord Baldurs gate 3) was with old and dated or even bad looking games. In the last 10 years i played some old games like FNV, Mass effect (not legendary) and DA: O. Especially those games are some of my favorite games of all time. Which says a lot about those because i played them years after release

I recently reinstalled Thief Gold to play the recent fan-made full campaign mod Thief: The Black Parade. The graphics are definitely dated, but that classic Thief style stealth gameplay is as good as ever. This all new campaign is just as good as Thief: the Dark Project, and includes the classic style mission briefings, cutscenes, .. .everything. Definitely a can't miss for Thief fans.

Lately I've been playing Ancient Dungeon VR. It looks like Minecraft (which I can't stand) but the game is very fun. Each run through is randomly generated. The power ups are randomized, so sometimes you struggle and sometimes you end up very powerful. The VR mechanics for knife-throwing is insanely fun and responsive.

Playing the souls series, souls likes and even more has made me realize
Gameplay over graphics

Games truly don't need to be high polygon quadruple A graphics, some people don't have a top quality 90, 000$ pc so seeing games where is accessible for everyone and most devices, gamers are gamers not freakin billionaires to suck the megocorp Titaaayyysss!

I will give you guys ideas I have, but I can't guarantee you haven't used them before! How about most egregious cases of numbers go up In video games, obviously with Cookie Clicker in there, and maybe Disgaea and other grindy games

Making my way through the video now. If Arcanum is not on the list, it should be. An excellent game that def was not ground breaking graphics even when it came out.

Honestly as long as its fun and you're able to tell what you're looking at it doesnt really matter. Plus Ultrakill runs on literally anything so it's worth it.

I don't know if I'm surprised or unsurprised that Enter the Gungeon wasn't on the list.
It could be argued that it has _pretty darn good_ graphics, but hey.

I think they watched Ssethtzeentach because all of the games here are what Sseth just reviewed, It's not about the Size, it's about the Performance.

A game doesn't need to have realistic graphics to be good as long it's fun it will be a good game. That's the problem with modern AAA games.

Some of this games are just old. They weren't made without visuals concerns. This would be the same as adding X-Com to this list.

Idk why but I love the brown orange graphics of New Vegas. I only think that Freeside and Vegas itself is too liveless and ugly.

what frustrated me in dragon age: origins was the constant crashes i wasn't able to solve it, even though i was able to finish it
reply

Crazy that Dragon Age is here. It never occurred to me that its graphics back in the day wasn't great. I thought it was fine.
reply

I have a rare genetic condition that allows me to enjoy downright ugly games if the gameplay is good. couldn't be happier.
