A cool Single Player game is Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. I played it for many times. Yeah it's not so open world. But it has pretty interesting story and gameplay mechanics.

I was surprised by Titanfall 2 also. The gunplay is very satisfying - the feel, variety and especially the sounds were stellar, I thought.

I bought subnautica and I wish I hadn't. Which is a shame because I usually love that kind of game. Just couldn't get into it.
