10 genius hidden mechanics in video games you can't see

Some video games use brilliant tricks behind the scenes to make games satisfying. Here are some more of our favorite examples yuri: on that missing thing on XCOM, i think league of legends has something similar when it comes to critical hits.
every time you don't crit, your crit chance is increased for your next basic attack. this amount increases with each non crit, and increases more depending on your crit chance.
for example, if you have 25% crit chance, meaning you'd crit every 4 hits, if you dont crit the first, second or third hit, the forth one would be pretty much 100% crit chance.
pretty smart way of making something random more reiliable (most of the times you'd crit every 3rd, 4th or 5th hit which makes it much more consistent, and fair for both the player and the enemy)

Developers when creating this game: -ok so lets make a new blockbuster looter shooter. We can use unreal engine so people expect it to look amazing but basically make every part of the game feel like running through a maze consisting of narrow hallways, then lets throw in some annoying little 2 second cinematics every time a character walks through a doorway, and then to make things more annoying still, lets constantly alternate between pressing space or pressing escape to skip the horribly repetitive cinematics we feel the inexplicable need to force you to watch every time you accept or replay a mission!-

They went even further with the traffic in GTA V, where npc cars actually break law and physics in getting in your way when you're trying to drive. Worst case(the best example) that happened to me was that I was going past a car on a hill and it turned left(as you would do in a crossroads), on a straight road, so steep that it would be impossible. I managed to brake, because I was already braking and the car went off the road, dropped down and exploded.

Basically the opposite of GTA V then? Entering cover, exiting cover, shit even -in- cover, special ability active, it does not matter. The millisecond they see you enemies have John Wick reaction times. It's so annoying. Even playing super slow and tactical I find it nearly impossible to not take damage using clunky console controls. You're alot more squishy in 5 too so it makes it even worse. Still a masterpiece game though. --

Is that Halo 2 thing in Reach as well? Because a long time ago a friend and I were playing the part where you blow up these towers and the checkpoint saved during the explosion. Needless to say we got caught in the explosion so every tome we would respawn we'd just explode again

This will always remind me of final fantasy VI for snes, at some point you have to escape on a minecart and do this series of battles with no break as Gau, and if you forgot to get any potions or healing items you could potentially be stuck forever and have to restart the game

THat Halo 2 feature is one you can exploit yourself as well. There appears to be a timer on the game that if you die within it will send you 2 checkpoints back. I've had moments where I've been stuck outside the map but I can get myself back by killing myself with a grenade

Autosave feature of skyrim really f-cked me up. I -accidentally- pressed the button for the shout(?)(fuzrodah). And the guards started attacking me.. i didnt know what to do so i fought back.. and it autosaved just before i was gonna be 1 hit KOed by the enemy.. -_-

The Jedi knight one really pissed me off at first. I like to use the to use the upgraded choke to drop the enemies over the edge.
I like the mechanic of the lightsabers actually being a beam of energy rather than a skin for a regular sword.

I cant remember wich games specifically do this but i am very aware of games removing enemy's when you keep failing the level but something I've noticed more is games removing the specific enemy type i keep dying to atleast for that Level
