Money makes the world go around, and we all know video games have to make money to exist. But what happens when publishers go too far? Well, if you've played any of these games, you already know

I knew that Bethesda's wretched Creation Club should be on this list, but people should also be aware that the monthly breakage of the game, and its' free mods, by updates that are nothing more than a reshuffling of CC mods, serves another purpose. Numerous Bethesda employees, the same ones who are responsible for breaking the game each month, also enjoy a good side income from their proprietorship and monetization of social media sites, and the making of videos, that purport to tell players how to fix whatever Bethesda broke that month. Any attempt to debate the necessity of breaking the game and its' free mods each month for the sake of inferior and unwanted paid mods results in trolling and banishment of anyone who mistakes these in-house social sites for actual free forums to discuss the matter.

As a Lifelong Gamer, I'm very embarrassed at how -Lazy- a lot of my kind have become... I mean what ever happened to actually PLAYING the games ? A lot of gamers now used the word Grind as a dirty word and I find it hilarious simply because us -Old School- Gamers used to spend days, weeks, months and sometimes even YEARS to complete a game just because it was FUN TO PLAY ! please understand that I mean NO insult directly to anyone, just observing what I've seen through the years. All The Best and Hope I See You In Game. Carpe Diem

Sad to see the gaming industry moving and focusing more on pay to win (not all game studios). I do not like games that require updates frequently (where the update basically does nothing much) orbs, gold, cards to collect and multiplayer only games. Sadly more developers and greedy greedy management will lead us all back to retro gaming. Cos by a few years most games will have pay to win stuff which the player will have to purchase or be nerfed. Poor devs poor people.

This is the model of -buy the arcade then pay $10 a game instead of a quarter- where we used to just walk into an arcade n pay a quarter a game. Even the mantra of -maximize coin drop- was never this sleazy. On another note I'm surprised ESO doesn't get mentioned, it's crown crates are obvious loot box gambling.

Just need to say this I play skyrim and fallout on regular and the Mod system isn't paid for and use them regularly havent spent a dime the creation club stuff isn't really mods there mostly skins and texture trash but still see your point even though it's flawed

This is why I use Emulators and the Roms of all my glorious old school games. No DLCs, no microtransactions; just one upfront price and unlock everything else through gameplay, grinding, searching, and achievements.

I-m so damn surprised Fallout 76 wasn-t on here, but then again I either don-t fully understand the theme of this list fully or it was so bad it needed it-s own video (Internet Hostorian) other than that, great vid
