10 Gamers BANNED For DUMB REASONS [Part 2] Faylum1: In world of warcraft back in 2007 I got banned for wpvp in a pvp server in a pvp location.
The GM seen me running a raid on the storm wind mage tower and I was raiding the place for the past two hours when I suddenly disconnected and got banned for a month. Despite being absolutely hated on the realm, the entire server appealed my ban through tickets and on the forums and got the ban removed after 3 days.
One of the feel good community moments despite the fact that I was a total nightmare to people on the server. But as people said, I cause conflict, drama and distraction. Without me the server would run perfectly fine and there in lies the problem. As most people joined the server for the fear and the danger and not for the casual experience.
After they removed my ban I got a few days extra on my subscription for the inconvenience and the server celebrated my liberation on the forums. Again it was a very touching moment that you rarely see in games these days.

About a year ago I was harassed by a former friend sending numerous paragraph length hate messages as he was annoyed I told him a fun fact about GTA online (something about how many different builds there were or something. So I blocked him, I have stress induced panic attacks as a result of a bad relationship so I'm quick to block others to avoid any undue stress. A year later I guess the guy became a mod for a Xbox club I was in because about a week before this Christmas I was banned. Talked to another mod who is a friend of mine and they didn't see any offences so they invited me back in only for me to be banned again. Talked to the club admin turns out the guy became a mod in the year since and when seeing a screenshot I posted realized I was in the club he was a mod for. In the club there's a rule against blocking mods that apparently can be enforced permanently regardless of situation and the fact that he was blocked about a half year before ever getting the position.

Getting banned for getting hacked happened to me as well. Couple of years ago my battle net account was banned and some guy tried to buy like hundreds of in-game stuffs from classic world of warcraft. I remember getting hundreds of e-mails, failed transactions etc (That's how I found out my account was hacked) And the funny part is that the hacker or scammer whatever, used his own credit card (or a stolen one, who knows) to buy some stuff and somehow failed due to the insane amount of transition requests (My guess he was using a bot or a program or something) It was so shocking for me because at the time I wasn't even playing wow. I only played 6-7 months ages ago and left. So anyway, I requested a ticket to blizzard, describing how it wasn't me who's trying to purchase millions of things and that my account was banned. Their respond was so pity it almost makes me laugh. To this day I'm permanently banned from playing world of warcraft (not that I care too much)

The overwatch ban is understandable if you ever played ranked you ll know just how unfair the matchmaking system is. So to be stuck with someone who only plays one character no matter how bad it is, is a huge problem in games that require team work. The only reason to pick a character that s really bad and you obviously can t perform with it is your trying to throw the game. Now coming back to overwatch s horrible ranking system this means the whole team gets punished just cause some can only use 1 character? Thats the main reason i quit playing overwatch and never even played 2 cause the game is infested by people that only use 1 hero and it cost people their match. Personally it s good people get banned for stubbornly using 1 character when there s a whole ass roster to choose from especially if your purposely trying to suck ass.

Funny story: my brothers xbox account was hacked, I did some trolling, and Microsoft was contacted and the account was banned instead of password and email reset and returned.
After some explaining and questioning of how a US account suddenly activated in Mexico 5 minutes after it was in the US, and the threat of contacting the bank over missing products we were rightfully owed, they reactivated it under a different email and password only we had.
In other words, Microsoft and the Xbox support team has been improving but are still making the wrong choices when it comes to this shit, and I discovered that hackers are HORRIBLE at hiding their IP when changing the Xbox accounts associated emails.

My steam account was hacked and stolen. I reported and got the account back (so they acknowledged that it was in fact hacked. Then they went ahead and banned me for something that was done within the couple hours when I lost control of my account. To this date, the account is still banned and they have a zero appeal policy so there's nothing I can do about it. One can say it's my own fault for being hacked, or how I don't secure my own account, but I had all the 2FA stuff setup, different passwords for different websites and accounts. So. yea. still quite bummed out til this day. Thousands of dollars lost.

I want to defend about the hacked account ban.
from vendor point of view, when they see/notice hacked account. to minimize any damage to the account and/or to the whole system it is quite logical to ban the account being hacked.
now the problem is how to prove the account is not hacked anymore, if they the owner can proof that they already got hold of their account again then the ban would be lifted. that's it if they can proof it was not hacked anymore.
honestly I would welcome being banned and the mess that follow to get my account back, than losing all my inventory after getting hacked.

Lol. EFT, almost forever beta, with expensive versions, cheater galore, and salt adm? I feel bad for people there.
on a side note, got baned. 3-5 times (1-3 months ban) on pubg mobile, cuz? no answer from dev/suport. After some time another game needed that I updated my android version of emulator. and pubg mobile worked again without ban form know where. They could not tell that the game did not surport older versions of android, and just baned people (saw it latter somewhere)

I was watching this one called drunk add manbands six players for playing the game. What happened was it was a three-man limit so you couldn't have more than three players on your team and you were not allowed to team with other groups at all. So what happened is the girls team had was door camping the boys team and he open the door and she rushed in and killed him and was talking trash so the admin counted that is opening the door to let her in and banned them for them teaming

Bro the being banned for getting hacked happened to me on Apex Legends
I talked to the EA support team and they verified it cause of the different ip address and server stuff and told me they'll work on it
Only for them to send me an email that my account will never be redeemed, and I had an heirloom in it.
I created another account with similar username so that my friends can easily recognize me, only for that one to be banned as well
Since then I just gave up on Apex

You guys should've covered the Ban waves from both TemTem & En Masse's Tera fate of Arun
TemTem Bans people for the Most arbitrary reasons, from reviews, to asking about things in chat, their entire company is sketchy.
As for Tera and En masse, they banned thousands for using a Mod which basically removed an 30FPS Cap, and enabled 60FPS.
The reason? It gives too big of an advantage over other players.
It was Free.

My dad got banned IRL from attending a certain panelist's panels because the panelist was glorifying Jedi and saying how their ideals are the ultimate ideals humanity should seek to achieve. Well, my dad was poking holes in it with nothing but facts from the Star Wars lore. (mind you my dad is a panelist and respected author. He was informed that he was no longer allowed to attend that panelist's panels.

Maining a character should never be ban-able, especially in a team based game. If someone has hundreds of hours in a character, they'll be way more effective and helpful to your team on that character. What is a ban worthy offense is if they're actively trying to lose. Trying to be friendly, jumping off the map, not capping, flanking without their team, basic communication, ect, ect.

I was banned years ago in Maple Story for being AFK to much, it was during a Winter Event and the best way to collect the items was to AFK, and there was 0% chance of getting unbanned. I havent played it since, because that was my 13 year old account that I spent thousands of dollars on. Had items on it that were so old, you couldn't get them anymore.

Although not a ban but in My Hero One s Justice 2 there was punishment system for those that dc to much being there are put into their own server however it was a flawed system bc if 1 person dc it also counted for the other person so within the 1st week 40% of the player based got punished(I was 1 of the unlucky ones -_-)
