Anyway, no one cares Sony bought Bungie but didn't actually buy Bungie because nothing has changed. They literally bought permission to use their name and that is it! They are still indipendant and are still on the war path to make money rather than a legendary game as pretty much all devs are now thanks to clowns actually being thick enough to pay for micro transactions etc.
Pointless waste of money.

Personally my thoughts are entirely mixed on the matter of Sony x Bungie.
But generally I don't believe it will have a big impact the way we think it's going to be.
As for days, weeks just about everyone thought Sony's response to Xbox would have been immediately buying EA/Dice as Battlefield was pretty much the main competitor of call of duty as both were giants in the gaming industry.
But generally both call of duty and battlefield haven't had a great track record as of late.
But mostly it's hard to say what type of impact this will actually have.
This Probobly hurt sony's budget considering people debated in the past while that sony wouldn't male such a big acquisition at least not yet. Microsoft it would have made sense though because they have very Very... deep pockets.

I played D1 in the Alpha, Beta, & aaaaaall through it's relevant lifespan.
Then I RELIGIOUSLY played D2all the way up to the -sunsetting era,- then I immediately uninstalled it...WITH HASTE!!!
Now if Sony un-fVcks Bungie & D2, then perhaps I will re-install it & begin playing it again. Time will tell...

I think in the its a move to control what service games go on more than what systems. I see games like Destiny, Call Of Duty, Overwatch, ETC ETC will be on PS5 and xBox for retail purchase but Destiny won-t be on Gamepass while COD and Overwatch will be. Gamepass changed everything.

gaming is gender fluid now and poly, you can play with X or with S or with both ...everything is everything...all the same shit...only nintendo stand STRAIGHT and despite everybody says they are old and doomed in the end everybody got it (the gaming) the proper way ... ;)

This makes sense as a company. Make games and in those games have exclusive items for Playstation. Probably as an incentive to go to the Playstation platform but you can still make money from your competitors fans by having games cross platform.

I still don't get what Sony paid for if the games will still be cross-platform. Bungie could get support to make more services through game-specific funding so it doesn't make sense that Sony wants to make sure they do it all themselves.

And how does Bungie respond after the sale? They screw thousands of PS4 Witch Queen early acces buyers by making them wait til noon to download the update. Noon is when everyone else will start playing! Great job Bungo!

I think bungie, and id software is the only studio that survived the great purge of historic game devs. Most of the others were back stabbed by either EA or activision(R.I.P. Radical)
