10 Things Hogwarts Legacy Players HATE Raoul: My Main problems with the game have been:
1. The game seems scared as hell that you might miss anything! YOur Character, or your current companion just keeps talking about whats around you. This is so bad, in some puzzle rooms, you dont even get to actually search the room before someone will just tell you the solution to a kindergarten level puzzle.
2. The Lockpicking Puzzle.
3. This game should not have been an open world game. ITs wasted time for the devs. Its open world because Thats how you do these days! . The world feels empty and pointless. Sure there are alot of little things, but lets be real, do we need each Merlin Trial 3 times? Do we need multiple beast Dens per Beast type? Did the Flying Courses need to be lightyears appart from each other? They should have focused on Hogwarts, Hogsmead and the Forbidden Forest as the general Hub area for getting quests and exploration, and make all Quests take place in instanced areas you reach from there.

I definitely think the most frustrating thing is the lack of classes and interactive elements.
I wanted a game where I had to attend classes, even if they were really boring. I loved Half Blood Princes potion making and would have loved to see that return as opposed to the wait 30 seconds to make Wiggenweld
And things like not being able to sit down or just do normal stuff definitely annoys me. Imagine being able to whip out a full book like fantastic beasts (which you could purchase at Tomes and Scrolls) or buying a butterbeer. Shops like Zonkos have no reason to be there other than because they were in the books
And this is so so minor, but if Hogsmeade is the only fully wizarding village in the world of Harry Potter, why aren t there any muggles about and why can I just cast spells around without the world interacting to it. How come I can use unforgivable curses and no one bats an eye

Agree with the PC performance. I have a rather decent gaming laptop and that struggles a on medium/high settings not to stutter. I expected way better fps on it. Strangely playing on my steam deck on medium settings is a far more enjoyable setup. Yes I know about the decks resolution but it still looks good and hardly stutters playing this game, so I will complete the game on the deck. Then again for the developers first attempt at a Hogwarts game they ve done well. What matters now is if they listen to the gaming community on all platform types. Just like how No Man s Sky responded to their gamers. We know Hogwarts was rushed out to be released with it not having playable Quidditch. Just explained with a quick bit dialogue at the beginning of the game, which the headmaster should of said it will be for student s once we finish and release the DLC.

- not having enough to do in Hogwarts, definitely a bummer
- I hate the flying controls despite finally getting used to them, and agree that it's annoying you can't look up or down when doing so
- I wish it was a little more clear when your choices impact the story/side quests and when they do not.
- I've wondered if it would be an improvement or not, but I almost think you should have to be at a floo powder location to access another one. Would be more in-universe realistic and encourage slightly more exploration.
- I wish there was a sort of 3D map of Hogwarts that reveals itself the more that you explore. Similar to Jedi Fallen Order almost. As opposed to the mini map which i don't use, and the mostly unhelpful map screen (in regards to navigation in hogwarts)
- I think the day/night phases are a little bit too short

Repeating dialogues are luckily getting faded out now AI generated systems are getting to a much better level ( inworld ai is a huge sample of that (and that service is for it to get integrated into games.
The amount of stairs of hogwards is actually mentioned in the books so yea it is canonical that Hogwards has more stairs then walls (believe it was a defensive choice to prevent invaders to get anywhere important unless they knew where to go.
PC versions of games in general tend to get build for the next generation of CPU s /GPU s so if pc players crank up the settings on even the latest CPU s and GPU s they will perform not optimally. when playing recent games the highest preset you should play on is Medium for the best experience and when you upgraded to the next generation of hardware you can set it to High or Ultra.

1. When casting Revelio, you stop moving unless flying around.
2. Not being able to fly in and around Hogsmeade.
3. The current glitch with the Biscuit quest that needs to be fixed.
4. Large opened chests still show up in Revelio.
5. Some locks that have been unlocked get relocked and you have to cast Alohomora again.
I like the overall map but wish it was like the Marauder s Map since it can be hard to navigate areas.
6. Not being able to find the one page I am missing in Hogsmeade that I could hear using Revelio while in the Ashwinder s secret area but now no longer makes any noise if I revisit that area.
7. Not enough slots for gear even when fully maxed.
8. Not enough room for beasts in the Vivariums even when all four are unlocked.

I agree with all this. But I feel like you didnt make a big enough issue about just how annoying and utterly pointless the Alohomora minigame is.
Also, there are many fixes for PC performance issues. Primarily a set of engine strings that can be pasted into the config file that almost eliminates the issues. I enjoyed the game at a locked frame rate without any drops, except in the rarest occasion during cutscenes.
And while yes, the PC version had a few things overlooked compared to consoles, one great thing about PC versions as always is mods. There are mods that get rid of all the annoying repetitious voice lines and fix a lot of other annoyances. There are also mods that add a lot of content that consoles just straight up will probably never get.

I really hate that there's no way to turn off tutorials, if you're going after those achievements or trophies that require you to be in a different house when you enter the map chamber, you're going to be seeing those tutorials over and over again.
Secondly I like that the quest that leads to Richard Jackdaw is different depending on which house you're in but the the constant comments about how few chests Jackdaw opened in the spider cave every time I open a chest makes me mute my headset.
Also why can't I view the map I can see in the minimap as a whole so I can figure out how to get to certain areas, like the local map and world map toggle you have in Skyrim.

Seriously, you spend 5 minutes complaining about Revelio of all things (although admittedly you should be able to silent cast in 5th year, but you ignore some really annoying things.
The number 1 thing I Hate the most is the level tied loot, find a legendary item, level up and its outclassed by the next bottom tier item you find.
And then there is the Revisionist History. Forget the trans person in a world where you can literally magic yourself into a new body, just the fact that the Slytherins aren't a bunch of Blood obsessed schemers. Heck despite all the comments about house points when you look at the hourglasses they are always empty.

The most annoying mechanic for me is having to unlock inventory slots with Merlin trials - inorder to. get. rewarded by exploring the game. when you have a friken castle with endless chests and a vivariums with spaces within spaces. yet you can't find anywhere to store a few cloaks unless you solve Merlin trials. It's just there to pad out the game and try to encourage you to Goto Hogsmeade and trade items. it sucks. So sick of getting an announcement I'm out of space. Eventually I just brewed a bunch of potions that I'm proud of. Solved all the boring Merlin trials. and then went back to exploring and finding loot.

The foundation is there. all the devs have to do is listen to the community, take their time. They also really need to stay as true as possible to the books story telling for whatever they do next tho because the story and side quests were quite lackluster, there was a lot i wanted to do/see that just wasn't there. It's not what's in the game, its what they left out. Could be the game of the decade if the studio listens and does what the fans want, and not what shareholders want. It would be wise of WB to not let their ego and greed get in the way of what, again, could be the game of the decade.

I think there should be an option to replace cutscenes after you've watched them that way if you need to remember something you can look back.
YES. REMOVE these repeating lines. If they've said something then This person/thing has nothing left to say at this time.
The Floo Lady. SHUT UP.
I agree with all of these. I've never gotten a Platinum trophy nor done everything 100% before those were a thing in any game. If I do find collectibles, trophies, whatever then fine but boring, mediocre tasks where a lot of time is required by a tiny reward is not a good thing.

The HUD is too busy for meaningful immersion, and the HUD options aren't flexible enough to configure without crippling gameplay and exploration. Not that exploration is that important because you can reveal everything at any time and know exactly what and where it is.
But my biggest complaint is that I really, really wish Hogwart's quests and open world felt more like RDR2 (or even Elden Ring) and less like a Ubisoft title. Too much busy work, too much revealed to the player at any given time, and far too many meaningless, tedious fetch quests.

My biggest Gripe is how backwards the gears transmogrification is, being able to change the appearance of your gear to any other piece of equipment you have is great so don t need to dress like a mix matched clown for the best stats but when you equip new gear (which you re going to do a lot) you need to go back and transmogrify each new piece of equipment you ve equipped, just give us an option to set our equipment appearance and have it be set until we we decide to change it.

My biggest complaint is that you can't go through Sebastians storyline without seeming like you're justifying what he does all the way up to the end, when you get some semblance of a choice. (Sorry, tried to keep it as spoiler free as possible but I know even the vaguest of things can be construed as spoilers)
It really boils it down so that the PC is essentially canon chaotic neutral (at best) if you do all the side quests.
