Hogwarts Legacy: 20 Dumb & SECRET Things You Missed fanjoy: Oh my god f off with all the Hogwarts videos. Y'all made it clear you don't give a f about trans people. Never expected gameranx to boycott it or say anything about the controversy but they need to get off that game's d. It's past the point that I can excuse it as y'all just have a job to do. JKR is using lawyers to silence any person or publication in the UK that criticizes her for promoting and financing transphobia, forcing them to write retractions that involve forcing them to say that the retraction was their da mn choice. She is a fascist (not hyperbole) who supports people and organisations that want to stop trans people getting their gender affirming treatment, therefore eliminating them from existence. And what do we call it when you try to erase a group of humans? Crazy but that is actually where we are at if you can believe this reality

The kid with the magic dancing socks is a recurring scene that changes a few times. I believe the final one the mother says he looks fine, then you hear a child's voice making fun of him, giving him that I told you so moment. Also the store owner at the same time makes commentary on selling magic socks. That said, some scenes like the kitchen are worth checking on multiple times to see all of the various activities they get into. Another good point of interest is how things get tied together, like the side quests, you can learn how they started and come back to find out what happened. Or in the case of the Jackdaw missions, if you do all 4 play throughs, you get to piece together the story of what happened.

Ok, I ve watched several secrets of HL videos now, and NONE OF YOU mention the Daily Prophet! In Hogsmead, in the main square in front of Honeydukes, there is an unmarked location that is a newspaper vender. If you check the papers, the stories change as you progress through the game, giving you little stories happening around the wizarding world based on bits of Potter lore. Most notable is the multi-issue story covering a case of cross-species breeding between a dragon and a chicken. This is a reference to book 5 when Mr Weasly took Harry to the ministry for his hearing and someone in the elevator had a fire breathing chicken that had been confiscated.

5: 15
lockpick skill high enough
Yet it is a level 1 lock, a basic lock.
FYI idk if it was/is a bug or intended but i could not pick that lock, I played as hufflepuff, but I stood around it long enough and nearly headless nick can to let me in and then I was able to pick it.
Also what is seen here 5: 19 did not happen for me, instead there was a scripted dialogue encounter with the ghosts.
This leads me to think it is different for other houses and gameranx are only showing one houses interactions (slytherin I think)

one of the craziest ones that i found was in a random side quest in the open world, when a girl tries to train a troll to defend a town, she mentions(if u ask the question) a guy who tried to train the trolls for the ballet. this is a very very subtle reference to the harry potter movies. in the sixth one, the director was thinking of making a scene where trolls dance and do a ballet. obviously that didnt happen and the girl makes fun of the guy.

Number 4, the Dark Cell actually goes a bit further than just a reference. It unites the canon of the books and films. In the book, Sirius was kept in the charms classroom, but in the films he is being kept in the dark tower (which had never been mentioned in the books and would never be mentioned anywhere again. This makes the two locations one and the same and undoes what had previously been a change in the adaptation.

I'm so glad you covered what the suits of armor were doing. When this happened to me, I was talking to Sebastian in a cutscene and COULD NOT SEE what the heck was going on, but I could hear what I thought was a suit of armor falling apart. Got out of the cutscene and there was just pieces everywhere with the other suit standing calmly in his place. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS WHAT WAS HAPPENING OFF SCREEN

Not sure if someone s mentioned it but I m pretty sure that s not hagrid s hut in #7 where the beasts class is. There s ANOTHER hut up the hill and it s empty. There s tools inside where you get a guide page that alludes to it being Hagrid s future home.
and there s a grave marker next to it with a hippogriff, apparently that s a nod to the actor who passed

11: 13 For me one of the best random funny scenes is this one moment I came across. I was in Hogsmeade at night and passing by the joke shop. The owner of the shop kicked the door open, towing a couple of students in each hand, and tossed them out like hooligans. They broke into the store and were making a scene, and the owner told them to get out or else.

First video I've seen someone mention about the dragons flying around. I've only seen it happen once. Right by hogwarts, dragon flew down and dipped in the water and kept going. Shortly after I saw a hippogriff fly down and catch a fish out of the lake. 60+ hrs in the game and I've only seen the squid once during the first Broom mission. Lol

The Beast Care hut isn't Hagrid's hut. The actual Hagrid's hut can be found down the bottom of the stone stops after crossing the wooden bridge on the southern side of the castle where the clock tower is. When you get to the correct hut, it's not _almost_ identical to it from the films, it _is_ identical to the one from the films.

As great as it is to see how they honor source material and put all the details, it would be also good if they added some more experienced game makers who would help them create a good game, not just references filled disaster. Harry Potter fans love this, but from gaming perspective there are too many failures you can count.

There is another Chamber of Secrets easter egg where if you go to what will be Moaning Myrtle's bathroom and you look at the sink, there is a field guide page about how there is a snake carved on the faucet and no one knows why, that being the sink where you speak Parseltongue to get to the entrance of the Chamber.

I just got my platinum trophy for this game enjoyed every second it surprised me honestly never cared for the franchise bf this and likely won t in the future but still this game is solid 7/10 and for my fellow completionists out there the game is easy and full completion shouldn t take more then 50 hrs

That's not Hagrid's Shack. Its located south of the castle across the bridge. You can find a field guide called the groundkeepers tools. It also matches Hagrid's shack from the Prisoner of Azkaban. I can tell by the pumpkin patch and the rocks where malfoy gets his nose punched in from Hermione.
