10 UNMISSABLE Video Games To TRY A NEW GENRE I don't like First person games. I played Wolfenstein 3D and Doom when they were new in the 90's, and then the two Medal of Honor on PSX. Then I had enough. Daikatana disappointed me greatly. I believe that there should be a distinction between FP games and other games with different POV. If there's Shooters, and then there are First Person Shooters, there should exist especific genres like FPRPG (Elder Scrolls, Fallout) apart from normal RPGs like Dark Souls or Final Fantasy whatever. There should exist Survival Horror games, and then, a very, VERY different thing which is First Person Survival Horror games. Why is it that only FPS get the FP tag and not other First Person genres. First Person should be considered a genre on its own, IMHO.

Good list, I have a couple of suggestions too.
If you re interested in getting into fore fast paced shooters, I d recommend playing the original Doom games. They often have a hardcore fan base (from what I ve see at least, but they have plenty of difficulty settings, and you can use mods to get many different types of experiences.
For CRPGs, this one might not count (the RPG genre is a mess, but the game Daggerfall might be a good one, it s free, and like doom there s plenty of ways to change how difficult you want the game to be, and while this will take some research, the way you build your character can make things easier. And if you use Daggerfall Unity you have plenty of mods you can use.
Edit: another good option to get into horror games is Faith The Unholy Trinity. The game isn t super scary gameplay wise, but like you described SOMA, it has a great chilling story, and the gameplay is simple the first time around, but the game opens up when finding secrets.

Couldn't disagree more with MK11! Netherrealm has such a strict, unforgiving input system and the AI never suffers from those input issues. Also, the dedicated block button makes this control scheme even more cumbersome for timing. Lots of content to it and interesting systems, but my choice would be a toss up between Killer Instinct and Injustice 2. These both have amazing fighting tutorials to help you learn how to move from Beginner to Intermediate to Advanced. I would give the slight edge to Killer Instinct though because of the aforementioned strict button input of Netherrealm games.

Thought experiment: If minecraft were to launch with all the same features and scope, but also had a 4 hour main story, would you rate the game worse because it's only 4 hours?
I ask this because I get very annoyed when someone rates a game like Skyrim, or, well, anything that isn't claiming to be a story focused narrative experience, and knocks it down due to main campaign story length. This should not be a factor in MOST games. But it's always a factor, in all reviews. Why? Whats wrong with everyone? lol

Literally can't argue with you on anything. Every game is good and I say going outside the genre a bit was choice, Tsushima isn't a traditional stealth so good for beginners and jedi fallen order is traditional soulslike so good for beginners. I have a suggestion if you guys don't mind, it would be awesome if you guys made a video about gaming from view of disabled people for example those who can't game for long or they're neurodivergent. Thanks for the video: )

I personally have a problem with the SOMA pick, not due to the story or horror itself, but because the AI can be very unforgiving and it's very easy to get lost. I honestly think Alien Isolation would be a better pick. There's crafting, but you don't really need to use it if you don't want. The scares aren't too intense, and the game has actual gameplay that isn't exclusively stealth. Puzzles aren't bad either. And of course, difficulties.

Good recommendation for anyone trying to get into RTS games(If you're interested to try, is another Halo game called Halo Wars. Its super streamline and it has a very simple tutorial(not even 15 mins long. You get to play as UNSC and Covenant. It isn't as complex as Command and Conquer, nor as difficult as Homeworld. The maps are fantastic and everything only gets better in Halo Wars 2. Plus they both go on sale a lot.

For Survival Multiplayer (in contrast to Subnautica which is Singleplayer only) I can recommend Grounded, you ca completely customize your difficulty, with the only caveat, that you wont get achievements if you play on a custom difficulty.
However, the easiest preset difficulty is very forgiving, and the Story is really cool too. Definitely a game to play with friends though, as alone it is quite harsh.

3: 21 Devil may cry the very first game yeah it would kind of qualify too. One because I aint got many buttons. You gotta learn and to a kind not like his fast paces the other like entries into the series It kind of eases you into a while at the same time kind of setting you up for like Hey. I wan to go play the other ones now that I know what i'm doing Even the second will be okay

2: 13 - I disagree. God of War is for someone with more experience at 3rd person games. The simplest, by far, is Darksiders. The first in the series. I absolutely SUCK at playing games, but I was able to beat Darksiders on its hardest setting, Apocalyptic. Alternatively, still relatively easy, but challenging at higher difficulties, is Horizon Zero Dawn, which also has a great story.

the big problem with fallen order is it is so parry focused and if you cant get into that you are going to have a hard time. personal, i think elden ring is a lot more forgiving as it allows for doge based builds more easily and most of the bosses can be skipped. it is also super easy to make a really powerful early game build

One must try Ghost of Tusushima. It is one of the best and difficult game I've ever played. Unpopular opinion - I would put this game in the same level as RDR 2, the only thing RDR 2 excels is at story and detailing else Ghost of Tushima is just next level in every thing be it graphics, combats, BGM etc.

I think not only ease of use, but excitement should be a factor. So instead of Halo, I would have said one of the Doom games. Instead of GOW 2018, I would have said GOW 3. These games just get you so pumped that even if you're not good you'll want to keep playing them anyway.

I think the only one I disagree with here is the fighting game. I'd say the newer Killer Instinct game or Dragon Ball FighterZ are the more accessible games for beginners. I'm terrible at fighting games and those are the two I find easier to grasp and engage in.

My first FPS was Doom Eternal when it became available on PS+. It looked really cool and almost all reviews were extremely positive. I loved it, I'm not great by any stretch but I still had a lot of fun. Highly recommend it to anybody looking to try a FPS.
