I've often said that Sony and Call of Duty was just a red herring propagated by Microsoft to distract from the much bigger picture (and it's still working) which is mobile/cloud. CMA recognizes Microsoft's dominance in the cloud space. Guess that (often touted) argument towards Sony having dominance in the console space kind of bit them in the ass there.
CMA sees the potential disruption in the market DOWN THE LINE. CMA considered the acquisition, but concluded it to be too arduous and complicated keeping regulatory tabs on Microsoft's handling of such a massive property. This little detail seems to be overlooked for the most part in the commentary surrounding all of this.
Sure, many have commented that cloud isn't much of a thing now, but that can very well change in the next few years. Most seem to underestimate how huge the mobile/cloud (which are really one in the same considering how software is maintained and distributed) market is in Europe and especially the Asian countries.

Instead of Microsoft trying to buy they should just release another game of them does this mean that if they did bought it. it would be Xbox exclusive only? Cause that sucks players who has PlayStation wouldn t be able to play with Xbox players if it s the case what a disaster I m happy they break up with it hope it s the end of that it wouldn t be a good thing for an industry that gets some of its best titles from independent companies. I was worried that they would buy it and as non Xbox gamer I was worried weather the future call of duty would still be available to us Microsoft must touching grasses to do that crazy heist on Xbox trying to buy Activision really hope it s the end of it Activision blizzard are smart enough to say no or at least decline the deal it s better that way! Keep doing your job gameranxs I love your videos been watching it forever love you guys!

I mean the thumbnail isn't accurate; technically, playstation killed the deal. Actually, the uk government as a whole killed the deal. I think this is a good thing. Microsoft dont exactly have a good track record with making good games after acquisitions. Probably because Microsoft don't make games they pay to make them exclusive, hence why they stop making good games after they are brought by Xbox. Either way, no one should own this company; they are too much of the market, and it would be completely egregious and unfair.
And yes the deal is not going to go through. The uk blocking it will massively affect their profits from this deal, and not to mention the us is going to sue Microsoft and stop it too. They might lose money from this

being blocked in the UK doesn't mean shit if it passes in EU sure it would drop Microsoft's revenue there if they exclude the country from some of their games but as long as it passes the US, China and every other place that matters they can just make multiple appeals over there on the UK if need be but the deal would still go through despite of UK's objection. I just want to see this deal go through if it helps get the older Call Of Duty games on to game pass since Activision is still selling even the way older ones like Black Ops and Modern Warfare 3 for 20 on PC I played them on my Xbox 360 back in the day and it would be great to get back at them on PC but only at a reasonable price.

Following Elden Ring's massive success, I'm faithful that FromSoft will deliver on Armored Core VI. More than enough for me to pre-order the collector's edition. Although, I'm traumatized given how I gave that same faith towards CDPR after The Witcher 3, and got burned so hard after pre-ordering CP2077. It's almost too similar a pattern that I'm afraid it isn't gonna go as smoothly as before. Still love the statue from that game though. And though I've always abide by the rule to never pre-order, I just feel like I'll miss out if I hold off.
Thanks as always for weekly coverage!

So even if Microsoft manages to buy Call of Duty they're probably gonna have to put it on Nvidia and other live services? well any hit on corporate greed like this does usually make me happy but damm. mofos are paying the biggest deal in gaming history for a very mid studio wich is on decline in anything but sales only to not get those games as exclusives? . that's kinda sad (but then again maybe PS CoD fans are happy about this im not into FPS so im not invested in this)

I have game pass. I'm against the merger. I wish the U. S enforced antitrust laws. I'm tired of big companies buying good developers only to let the quality drop off a cliff (EA. Microsoft needs to come out w some of their own bangers. Their hardware has taken a dive over the past few years imo. Hire some talent, and go for it. Stop just buying developers and ruining them. Let em cook, let them compete. I'm sick of the corporate interference on creatives

please stop with the saying that from software makes hard games or that souls is hard. they make games which require a learning curve and they wont handhold you. most often they are knowledge depended alot. in terms of what most people consider to be skill they are very basic in what they ask of the player. i am 39 and for sure do not have the reaction time of a 14 yo but you dont need that for souls. experience and knowledge brings you much further

Honestly I think we as consumers should hammer down on performance issues. More and more games now a days come out half baked and unfinished like it feels devs and publishers don't care since people seem to just drop money on anything and complain after but as long as keep paying for this type of products they are just gonna keep doing the same.

After seeing all of the Armored Core gameplay, I wouldn't be surprised if multiplayer is a later addition. I get huge Virtual On vibes every time I see the clips. For the young 'uns out there: Virtual On was a 3D arena-style mech fighter by Sega in the nineties. Awesome in the arcades and a faithful Saturn port. Good times.

Yo, that you turned her against me! Hit hard I love Jake and his team. Thank you guys for being one of the few positive consistencies we can count on. Big shame about Jedi Survivor. I m playing on PC with both excitement and frustration. What an awkward time for gaming in general. Keep up the awesome work. Thank you

The old AC games are the OG of From Soft Hard as hell. They had consequences for failing the often pretty hard missions. It would allow the player to build an AC that straight up wouldn't work and didn't warn them. Running out of ammo was a constant. Classically crappy early 2000s Japanese controls. It had it all.

6: 27 %1000 right. I was going to buy the game on release, but it apparently doesn't run for shit; now I'll pirate it when it shows up cracked on TPB. Lame to not support the developers, but half-cooked and unplayable AAA 70 releases isn't gonna fly for alot of people anymore.

Sick, so Activsion games are going to continue to be steaming piles of dog shit. I get it and I think it does pose some issues with Microsoft owning so many development companies but I was really hoping they would be able to force Activision to stop making brain dead decisions.
