10 Most HATED Levels in Video Games TheUnderDog: I'm one of the few people who loved Cortana BECAUSE it was so hostile and unforgiving. I am super passionate about Halo lore and it all just made sense. High Charity was completely infested by the Flood; the space zombies responsible for wiping out one of the most overpowered mainstream Sci-Fi races that exists. It is supposed to confuse you and get you on edge because that is just the threat of the Flood. It helps set the stage as to why the Flood is so dangerous and needs to be stopped. Meanwhile, the Gravemind is filling your head with images to make you even more hopeless, thinking Cortana caved to the Gravemind. It was all a manipulation to set the Master Chief off balance so when you finally do reach Cortana and save her, it makes it that much more rewarding. You finish it off by finally finding your one ally; the Arbiter, and you escape together to finish the fight. Sure, the gameplay from Cortana may not have been the best in the series, but the story called for it and that more than makes up for it

I have to say valahalla sucks in general. Not just asgard, but the whole game. Its too much going on nothing is very good but theres just a bunch of it, quantity over quality, all the weapons sucked and dont even get me started on the fact that all the nordic vikings look like they're mexican or middle eastern or some shit and theres even black vikings and theres like 3 actual white characters who actually fit what vikings and anyone in 1100s england would have looked like. That was enough to make me hate the game right there. Just always having to make everything political and about diversity. And this is coming from someone whos transgender and is all for inclusion and diversity. But the whole thing of constantly changing white characters to black or unidentifiable brown people is just annoying a. f. OH! And dont forget the one rabdom freaking chinese lady living with them all at the little village you build, just somehow ended up there all by herself. Cause that makes sense. Uggghh, its just ridiculous the constant race stuff lately. For examples see black Ariel and house of the dragon the whole valarion family is black, the lord of the rings show, its just constant and it always feels super forced.

Niamh Fitzgerald's Trial in Hogwarts Legacy. It is the third and final of the trials the old magicians impose on you, so it is late game. You will have all spells learned by then probably and be well equipped with potions and plants. And then they take everything away from you but healing potions and leave you with the basic attack and a limited amount of casting of spells determined by the game. It is totally annoying and makes you feel like all your effort so far to develop your character was pointless. And fighting is all about dashing, timing protego and basic attack. And there are hordes of enemies coming after you, way more than in any other part of the game.

Any escort levels or having to hold an area with some health bar or timer. Also a lot of Halo fans can agree that the Library from Halo CE is the worst level in the entire series. It s just so long and the elevators are slow. Not to mention just so many flood and in the original graphics you can easily get turned around. Not to mention the flood with rocket launchers that 1 shot you and make you restart certain parts on harder difficulties. It s sucks so bad. Flood in Halo 3 is easy to deal with since Bungie made killing them much much easier and a good majority go down in 1 hit

Old af but fresh in my mind: the Maintenance Floor in OG System Shock. Technically a hub section for a much longer secondary mission but holy hell is it a pain in the ass. Finding the respawn bay is easy enough but believe me you'll need it you cannot disable the enemy respawn until you finish the sub mission and don't have to come back anymore. And ofc its the only place where u find Invisible Mutants AKA the most frustrating enemy in the game.
Saving grace, you can find the Laser Rapier.

I actually thought i was the only person in the world that hated Asgard in Valhalla. I even felt bad about it lol. OMG its beyond boring, and i stopped doing it. Sorry Ubisoft, not sorry
Valhalla as a whole is too bloated and repetitive, Odyssey was hugely better and probably my favourite AC game.
I will say in my defense though, i got hit by that bug where you can't find the guy at the end, he doesn't spawn so i started the game again and finished it and skipped Asgard completely.

Arghhhdjfj just went through the Yiga Clan hideout and it was soooo frustrating. Managed to finally get through it after carefully targeting just the key big guys (standing at the doors or the ones in direct line sight to those) and spamming them with shock and freeze arrows to make sure they don't have time to whistle the lockdown. I'm really glad to hear we don't get another area/quest like this for the rest of the game.

Cortana is a terrible mission for all the reasons you stated but I think 'The Library' from Halo 1 is a worse level. It's just an endless mob of Flood you're fighting against, in copy and pasted rooms that all the exact same (coupled with goddamn Rocket Launcher Flood. It just felt like a draining grind getting through that level, almost made me quit playing Halo 1 after it.

Just having a second playthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC and I honestly forgot how terrible the island part was, total rubbish 'map' and messes with the pacing. Having problems with Rockstar launcher all these years later and Im thinking about downloading a cracked copy so I dont have to deal with it, just wondering if the saves would carry over, probably not

While I do agree that the Asgard part of Valhalla sucks, it does have a connection to the main story to Eivor. I dunno, it just felt like you're spouting nonsense to me because clearly, you didn't play enough or understand enough. Can't blame you tho, that part is truly a slog.

No way the Yiga Clan hideout was a worse stealth mission than following that Korok in the Korok Trials. That was beyond aggravating, especially when he'd get scared and double back, and discover you. At least the Yiga Clan hideout had plenty of gems and bananas as a payout.

As someone who got the Platinum for Bloodborne and had to do the chalice dungeon grind twice because my save kept getting deleted for some reason, I can say without a doubt the chalice dungeons suck. Thankfully they do not scale with NG+ so they can be breezed through.

Can I add something? It's Elden Ring's Consecrated Snowfield. You can't see s, the enemies are pooh, you get chased bei giant skeletons and wolf riding archers, also. wth is up with the missile shooting mausoleum? I hated it. (and loved it, what's wrong with me)

While I do find Guarma tedious in RDR2, I would argue that the snow at the beginning of the game is more hated. It's one of the main reasons why people who say they don't like the game choose to dislike it. People don't have the patience to get through it.

the valhalla s asgards quest is explaining the story of basim and lokis relation. Also is the story about the cataclysm in this game termed it as ragnarok. Basically how loki became basim and the mirage is the loki training to become the assassin.

I like the Yiga Clan hideout. It s a nice change of pace and also doesn t insta fail you if you get cought, you can go in and beat everybody up if you want to. Thought it was kinda cool and quirky! This is the first time I heard about people hating it

Three words describe the worst mission ever => 'New Model Army' from GTA San Andreas. Flying that damned helicopter when I was a kid has resulted in years of psychological treatment, alcohol addiction, serial killer vibes, and suicidal thoughts.

man only threw in the dark souls 2 one simply because he lacks the skill to complete it without clenching his cheeks so hard he folds his chair.
shipment? bro that's like 90% of cod fans favorite map lmao I question this list heavily.

Assassins creed II, Visitazione's Secret. I hate that tomb. The wall runs and jumps combined with having to swim and climb all the way back to the starting point at the slightest mistake made me stop playing the game for a good while

The underground snow sections and the temple sections in Zeffo from Jedi Fallen Order were a pain to do with finding collectibles. Also Kashyyyk involved climbing the giant tree while dealing with spiders and the saava flowers.
