10: 20 I bought a PlayStation 4 Pro when the first Marvel s Spider-Man came out.
After 2 years, the main board gave a factory defect - it interrupted the signal from the console to the TV.
The Sony repair shop couldn't fix it for me. Because the warranty of PS 4 Pro, was 2 years, they said they couldn't replace it with a new one.
More than 1 year of going to repair shops follows. No one could fix it. I ended up selling it for parts. All I have left of it is the dual shock controller 4, which still works.
I'm a little disappointed with Play Station. I have NO intention of buying their console anytime soon.

Digital price bump is disgusting half way through the lifespan. Stand costing more is disgusting, if anything it should come free with the price increased digital version that doesn't look like it can stand on its own. Sony is saving money and gives us plastic stilts. there really aren't any games, just wait. If the pro impresses you, buy it, if not, skip this entire generation. I wouldn't buy the console this generation.

I find the PS5 design downright disgusting, and it has put me off buying one. I thought hand on a minute every other slim version of the older playstations looked totally different so maybe PS5 Slim will do, I will hold on. Sadly still terribly ugly so maybe this is the first ever gen PS I miss out on altogether. I know the looks don't affect the performance but you still have to look at that abortion daily. yuck.

I don't understand why people keep calling it slim. It is not being marketed as a PS5 slim because it is not. A proper way to see it is a hybrid. It's a digital version that can convert to physicial(hence the price increase on the digital) and the physical stayed the same(and same price. It is a bit more compact, but it's not a significant change, hence it wasn't announced as a PS5 slim but just new ps5.

I just bought the Spiderman 2 bundle off the Zon. I haven't owned a Playstation since the 2. So, I have 17 years of first party content to catch up on. Do u think the wait was worth it? I have been an Xbox fan boy since the first one. Now that Halo really isn't Halo anymore and Microsoft's first party stuff leaves a bit to be desired. Maybe now I'll switch permanently? Probably not, but, maybe.

Well, this should be interesting. A Sony pony reviewing the new, revised PS5 models. Neither models are good, but the digital version baffles me.
As a side note, I am not looking forward to the all digital future. Too easy to monopolize this, Sony have already proven this. At least on PC, you have options, albeit Steam is the ruler on the PC gaming front.

I got my PS5 last year in October, it eas still selling out and I had to use one of those apps that notify you when then get in stock. I tried to get the digital version but ended up getting the disc version because they ran out. I'm good with the one I got, still playing catch up on not just PS5 games, but PS4 games as well (I skipped the whole PS4 era.

Just recently bought this cus i lost my original ps5. I would say it looks considerably small and adds volume to ur set up ( if ur looking for something small that would look cool there. Cant wait to have customs black plates on this. Also the middle black part is curved so idk if we will be able to use strips there or not.

I like the Phat PS5 more. I have had since August '22 and like it so far. I got the disc version because I would much rather have the option to watch a Blu-Ray or DVD than not. This new one just looks much more off and especially with a disc drive attached. The disc-less version of the slim PS5 looks OK though.

I'm passing out on the PS5 all together, it is half-way its lifecycle and the majority of its libraries are remakes and remasters of PS4 games. I still have over 150 unplayed games on my PS4. I have yet to see a true masterpiece of a game in PS5, plus storage is more expensive and not hot swappable like the PS4

C'mon man this video wasn't made 3 months ago so be honest about Spider-Man 2. It's a rehash of Miles Morales and people who have MM should weigh heavily before purchasing essentially the carbon copy of a game they already may have. Other than that tidbit good vid keep up the great work.

Wow OG Playstation is MASSIVE. and I never use the disk drive. I still have my PS3 for playing movies on disc on the super rare occasion I find something in a Red Box. I may regret going all digital if they dark age some games. but I am NOT getting up off of my recliner to switch games.

Seems more like a redesign instead of a real size reduction. PS4 slim looked like a step up but the PS5 looks prime for a Super Slim release like the PS3 haha. It's a great opportunity for people to get a Like-New Second Hand PS5 from an owner who wants to have the latest version.

Jake, how have you broken 2 ps5 stands? There s gotta be a story there. I get you fiddle with these things more than most given your job, but 2? Were you stress testing them? I think I ve touched my stand like twice since launch, I m genuinely curious as to how this happened

Does this one have drm built in? I saw posts about that before from other sources and am concerned if it has built in drm. I already have a standard ps5 but I'm asking since a friend of mine really wants a ps5 but I don't want him getting this one if it has built in drm.

Hey guys, I ve never had a PS5 and have been really wanting to try spider man, god of war & horizon etc. Do you guys think this release warrants the purchase? Or do I just go for the cheaper original? It would be great to hear any opinions on what I should do too!

Thanks, Jake! I finally decided to get one w/ the Spider-Man 2 bundle! Had to buy Ratchet & Clank and Plague Tale: Requiem to go with it. Thanks for the review, I don't have buyers remorse yet. BUT, it doesn't get here until tomorrow so we shall see.

having to update and download the disk drive software is a fair trade off for making it an optional customization in my opinion. having the 4 panels also allows for more creativity with custom panels and designs. could make a Harley Quinn ps5 or w/e.
